~!~Cheetahs~!~Monday in the den

Wendy- Thanks for the hugs. Needed them today. So far my eats are good but morning and afternoon are never an issue. It's always the 7 o'clock hour. Off to the farmers market tonight to get some good veggies.

Jackie- nice run. enjoy your day.

Shelly – I’m sorry you’re feeling your run this morning and especially sorry you didn’t sleep well – I think that makes it worse! I love your attitude about it, though. I agree that a workout makes things feel better. As for the flat – they happen. It’s easy enough to change ‘em out. I just haven’t yet. :p

Wendy – Oh I had fun this morning! I forgot that I actually LIKE Plyo X! Thanks for the safe travel vibes for DH!

Carole – We were clear this morning, but the clouds are coming in with a vengeance. I told DD15 that if she needs a ride from school to call me. She has her bike, but it’s really windy and horrible out there right now. How’d your run go? Let them eat cake and lose weight! Good for you! I do find that if I break out of a very strict eating mold and loosen up a little, I often drop weight. Enjoy your massage

Dallas – I love the BM2 BC premix! It’s a nice shake up premix! Hope you enjoyed it! Yeah, the flat wasn’t fun, but hey, they happen. I’m wondering when I should go vote tomorrow – I may go at like 10AM or something. I usually go at 7:30 – I’ll try that first. Of course you can come over!!! We’d love to have you! :p I think Title Nine Sports (www.title9sports.com) and www.Activasports.com both have looser pants. You can also check REI.

Wendi – great job on the 7.6 mile run, especially as it was hard! Isn’t the shower after a run the best? Definitely have my fingers crossed for your mom! Glad those guys are good.

Linda – You deserve all the congrats for your run! Great job! Yeah, we have rain forecasted through Thursday. That’s okay, though as we so desperately need it. How are you feeling today?

Karen – I’m not a fan of planks either, but they are soo good for us! Glad you can enjoy your fireplace! That always feels wonderful. I cannot even imagine how you’re managing to keep everything together. Do you think maybe your parents could pitch in and get someone to clean their house once a month to give you a break (I have the name of someone great in your area – she’s a character, but honest as the day is long). I brought my candy to work. I work with a bunch of young guys. Problem solved. :D

Jackie – great job on the workout!

I went home over lunch and played with Jimmy. I had the camera so I thought I'd share some photos:

YAY! I caught it!!

I'm going to shake that bugger!

Hey Mom! When are you going to throw that thing?!

Good afternoon, cheetahs J

Wendi—Aww, heartwarming
xlove_hartflow.gif
story about the cheetahs. I still have a little bit more to the pile, but it will get done over the next couple of days. This is a much lighter week, so I’m not sweatin’ it. Yeah, there’s nothing like getting out there in the fresh air, but it’s all good. I had a great workout yesterday with the pec DOMS to show for it.
J Works for me…Great job with a tough 7.6 followed by raking.

You never seem to tire!

Wendy—good job with the “PP” premix.

(Pardon my middle school humor.)

Christine—question: is there any way to send/receive pictures with text messages on this thing?
xother_mobilet.gif
So,
DH is off again, eh? Place any fun orders?...Thanks for posting pics of handsome Jim. Can't get over those eyes.

Shelly—I definitely had some wobbly moments in the first few hours after crossing the finish. I had a great Monday! Hope yours is a good one, too. Thanks for the kind words. Wishing you some good zzz's tonight.

Carole—You are doing fantastic ahead of schedule. Oh boy, we have ANOTHER b’day to celebrate in Napa? Should be a great time! Congrats on dropping another lb.

You are my hero, you know! Oh, I finally received the rest of my marathon pics today. Had one of those collages done, and you are in it!
J

Dallas—Don’t know that premix, either. Good to know it gets rave reviews. *lol* about vote early and vote often. Our kids are off; we have an in-service. YAY on you getting the thumbs up for Napa.

Linda—oh, you’ve just gotta come to Chicago,
prettyplease.gif
How's it going today? Muscles, bones feeling good? Something weird I noticed: I could not eat much that night after the marathon, but the next day, I was positively ravenous.

Karen—Ahh, “tons of children to look after.” *lol* You slay me. As posted to Wendi last night, I am back in chill mode, actually. But thanks! Sure hope you can get a handle on your stress.

Jackie—great workout! Those speed ladders sound killer.

Judy—welcome back! How was Chicago?

So, it’s back to the ol’ rotation this week. Been up since 2 am, so I think I’ll stick to the scheduled rest day today even though I had more than my share last week. Light week this week, so I'm confident getting back on track will not be an issue.

Have a great night!

Christine- That would be a help to have someone come in but my parents are on a fixed income which is part of the reason dh and I let them move in. They sold their house when dad retired and we had just purchased our home with an unfinished basement. Our up stairs had 4 bdr and 2 bath and the basement was going to be a rec room, family room and exercise room. However we turned it into in law quarters. The bigger question would be why in the heck don't my three sisters help out. My one sister stops by once a month and you would think the sun set on her. She does one thing and it's like she did the world a favor. Mom will talk about how nice your sister is for days. Yeah Right I'm thinking. Oh well.

Cathy- Glad your back in chill mode. Love the smiley in the tub. I think it's calling my name.

Hi Friends!

Here is the story of our Chicago trip (warning proud mama here) DS15 has recovered nicely from his contusion. We arrived on Thursday and just chilled out . Friday we had two games and won one and lost one. The game we won was against the #2 team in the USA! Saturday we had 2 more games and we won both, including a win against the #1 team in the nation. Our stats earned us a trip to the quarter finals, a win followed by the semi finals, another win and then the Championship game. We were the only team from the USA and Canada left and our opponent was RUSSIA. Our boys played crazy great and the game was tied after regulation, and after the first OT period. In the second OT the Russians scored to win. We are so proud of our team. This tournament had 352 teams and over 6500 hockey players all over Chicago. Every one of our games had numerous scouts at it, including NHL scouts. (They were not looking at my boy, but still he is on am amazing hockey team)

Oh, we missed ouf flight home due to being in the championship game and in double over time. However we were lucky enough to gt on a later dircet flight back home. As you can imagine, we are all a bit tired today! DS had to go to his high school hockey tryout today, and he had to attend a full day of school to be elgible. He will be in bed by 8:30 no doubt!

Wendy- Joey is too handsome! I adore the picture with his girlfriend!

Christine- Jimmy must be so much fun!

Linda- so you found a recovery plan from TNT? I so wish TNT would do a training here for a half.

Hi Jackie!

Carole-Yummy food you had there!

SHelly & jackie & Dallas & Cathy - Thanks for asking about our weekend! Dallas, the w eather was ideal! We barely had a chance to leave the hotel except to go to the rink. We did have some cocktails in the evening after the boys had tobe in for curfew. The Eaglewood Resort did a great job for us.

OK, DH just got off the Treadmill so, I need to get the rest of dinner ready while he showers.

PS- I did a nice and slow 9.1 miler today at 10:00 for my average pace. And guess what? DD23 is considereing a half marathon! Wendi, I may try to push for the one near you if she could get a tra n up there shoe how! DD abd her byfriend watched one of his friends in the NY marathon yesterday. i think after watchin marathons two weeks in a row ,m sh may have goted interested.;)

Wendi - Thanks! I will definitely check it out! I hope you enjoyed your lunch with DSO! Hmmm….yes, could be the fierce DOMS! LOL…or the Bosshole! I will have to remember that one!

Karen - I was not feeling real sore until after noon today. But now….I definitely am sore! Ouch! As for a recovery plan, Dallas sent me some info from TNT that I think I will follow as far as the running goes. I am not sure if I am “allowed” to do weights yet, or not! I would really like to do some in the morning! It is definitely harder to eat right when there is so much going on in your life! When things are out of the ordinary, I always grab the pizza, chips, etc. Hmm…I did that tonight as a matter of fact! I hope things settle down for you! I have gotten that in my mouth from eating hard candy! No fun!

Wendy - I have done that PP premix once. I remember I loved it, but man….was I ever sore after it J It is an awesome workout! I am definitely getting more sore as time goes on! Thank goodness, none of the soreness is the bad kind. Just feels like DOMS!!

Carole - That is a good idea about doing the marathon in January for training and walking 4! That would be a good way to slip in another one without it being too awful hard on the body (well….not “As” hard) ;)
Do you think the EXT and some weights would be okay to do this week? Can I do lower body, too…or no? Upper…or no? I am glad you enjoyed your P90X S&A! I love that workout. The run in the rain sounds nice! Hope the massage was good!

Jackie - Thank you so much for the congrats! Good job on your run and stretching! Are you only going to run with your running partner on the weekend?

Christine - Awww! What cute pics of Jimmy! He is so pretty! I was feeling great this morning,! Went to work, sat at my desk, got ready to stand up to go to lunch and …oh my! Very sore! Lol…but still feeling good! Are the people that got laid off already gone in your office?

Cathy - That is exactly what happened to me! I ate some of the steak and mashed potatoes that DH made me, just because I know I needed it…..but everything I ate yesterday hit my stomach like a rock. Today I could think of nothing buy food! I just kept eating and eating! I am seriously thinking of coming to Chicago! I really planning to, if nothing happens! That would be so much fun! LOL…I am getting more sore as time goes on! I thought I was going to get by without it, but guess not! Oh my gosh! I am sorry you have been up so long! Get some rest!

Judy - That is awesome about the games! Congratulations! I definitely understand why you would be a proud Mama! Wow! Gosh! Sorry about the missed flight! Good luck to your son and his hockey tryout! Great job on your 9.1 miler! That would be cool if your DD ran a ½!
I really wish there was a TNT group here! The only way I could do it would be the Virtual training. Dallas was kind enough to send me this info!

What do you guys think, should I do weights, or no weights this week? I was thinking of doing some light weight-type workouts (i.e. Firm, Squeeze Strong, etc) and the EXT.

Have a great night!

Linda

Hey Cheetahs.

I'm feeling under the weather once again.

I've been watching the clock since 5:30 waiting for this moment to arrive when DS was tucked in for the night so that I could crawl in to bed as well and it's finally here!

I hope I feel better in the morning...

I'll catch up with personals then. :)

Good night ladies.

Linda- Can you pass over your notes on recovery from Dallas to me. I would have loved to have a look because at this point I have no clue how to recover from somthing like a full. I hope you progressively get better from soreness each day.

Wendy- What happend. I hope you get some good shut eye and feel better in the morning.

Judy- I would be so proud too. How amazing for you son and your family.

Ok, Last bit from me tonight. So I go downstairs and my mom says dad is all screwed up with his meds. I bought them both a pill box and fill their meds each week for them. Well, dad came home from the coumadin clinic today to find he needs to up his meds when they have been fine now for a good 2 months. Well, I go and check and he missed two night last week of his coumadin. Now he is forgetting to take his meds. Mom said she asks him and he tells her yes. So I made this GIANT sign and put it near his nightstand to remind him to take his pm meds. Good Greif. Of all the ones to not take coumadin is not the one to be messing with. He goes in again Monday to recheck his levels and hopefully it will go back to normal. aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Mom of course gets all mad at him for not taking them so I need to make peace between the two of them. Let's just say the two of them have been married 45 years and it is amazing to me they made it. Honestly as a child they should have been divorce 100,000 times over. Now as an adult you can see how unhealty there relationship was but it's now jsut those two so they have to figure out how to make it work with all of this going on. Without sounding like a crazy perosn I have always been the mother to the both of them. Mom and dad got married at 17 and 19 and had my oldest sister and then 15 months later my other two sisters who are twins. Then me 8 years later. Dad never grew up until 45 and mom was raising herself while raising my three sisters. When I came along my sister were teenagers and I became the one who felt as if she held them together. Pretty much like now. To be quite frank my dad will listen to me before he will listen to my mom. Sad but true. Sorry for the big to do by venting once again. I do love them both very much but they make it so hard on each other. I am so glad dh and I have the opposite relationship of them. I could have fallen easily into a bad relationship early on but I got so lucky.
