Good Morning Cheetahs!
A delinquent cheetah here
I been running bare maintenence miles this winter (I'm such a cold weather wimp) and although DH and I do have a new treadmill that is such a nice convenience I'm having a whole lot of trouble getting into the groove of TM running. I get bored very, very easily. Putting a towel over the display helps some, and of course I listen to music, but it just isn't enough. I never realized how much of what I enjoyed about running was just being outside. :7
Anyway, in a (probably vain) hope that spring is right around the corner I've decided to suck it up and start amping the running on the TM to 3 days a week. And I'd love to be able to share my TM boredom and the unhappy feeling that I'm going to slip off the back of the TM (I'm not, we have a 60 inch deck
, lol) with some ladies who know what I'm talking about.
Today is serious upperbody after the Leg Blast premix off of B&G yesterday, that one is an exercise in cruelty, lol. DH kept hearing "Walking lunges again!?!" eminating in tones of incredulity from the workout room. Today, "The Veinmaker" and UB workout from Aquajock that never fails to leave me with DOMS of a significant magnitude.
Cathy-Between you Marcia and Wendy I'm going to have to start using P90x again just to fit in, lol
How far are you into the rotation, or are you just using the killer UB workouts and subbing in other things?
Wendy-Sorry you missed so much sleep:-( So, you're already near the end of Phase 2, huh? How are the results so far? More importantly, can you do a pull-up yet:7
Marcia-Enjoy the delay! DH teaches in a very small district with mostly walkers, so they never get delays or days offx( I love Kenpo! And I know what you mean about the DOMS, the first time I did it my back was pretty "burny" the next day}(
Gayle-In keeping tabs on you cheetahs I had seen that you were injured and sick so I'm glad you're feeling like you're incredibly energetic self again
After the last big snow DH and I went sledding on an incredible hill and by the 7th time up I was practically crying for ski lift, lol. It was a quarter mile up the hill (STEEP!!). Yeah, I counted the steps}( It's a great leg/cardio workout:+
Christine-I also think the whole Terminator DVD is just a moment of pure brilliance! I recently purchased ME/BC and Imax2/C&W on DVD, I'd been surviving on VHS *gasp*, so I've been having a little love affair with the Intensity series:7
Barb-Happy Monday right back at you! Sorry to have passed like two cheetahs in the early morning mist, LOL! I hope everything is well and happy at your house! I plan on writing everything with exclamation points!
Judy-I'd be interested in how Chi and TM mix as anything to make the TM better would be of huge value to me! Sounds like we have the same weather, both upstate NY, so I would say opting for the TM is a smart move.
Have a great Cheetahs, I hope to check back later, but there's all kinds of Cleanmaxing to be done around here.
