Oh--I think a prior model I owned had OwnZone and there was this test, where you walked and then ran and it tried to calculate for you a more accurate HR zone. That might be worth reading the manual about. Also it's called the Karvonen method to get the HR recalcuated with your resting HR. Maybe the Ownzone uses that because for one of the Polar fit tests, you have to lie quietly for 5 minutes to get your resting HR.

I think this is worthwhile because as you get more fit your resting HR drops, so then you have to exercise harder to be in different zones.
Cathy-- you realize that if you had asked Carole or Shelly, they could have answered this in a single sentence, whereas it takes me 2-5 posts to attempt to explain this???
