***CHEETAHS***MERRY MONDAY***

Cathlete
Good Morning Cheetahs!

Christine: IA the first snow is magical. :) Nice workout today! I have not done B&G in a long time. That one is a killer! Hoping DH is feeling better.

Carole: Awesome run! IA with Jackie that I can feel your energy! Wonderful!
:)

Cathy: Where will you go when you head west for skiing? I bet that is a great workout! You got in a great workout today! For me, our district PD has been really beneficial. We actually have a PD day this Wed. We will be revisiting A Framework for Understanding Poverty.Did I tell you that I am going to see Kelly Gallagher in January? I have been reading Deeper Reading.

Wendy: Glad you had a fabulous time!

Linda: I would not feel bad about not doing leg work after running a marathon! :) I am truly impressed that you and Cathy have recovered so well!

Jackie: We have a good inch + of snow out there right now. It is pretty! Mom is doing ok. I am glad I decided to see her once weekly. It really lifts her spirits. Sounds like a cozy night!

Posh: I have rescheduled some conferences due to conflicts, but some people just don't come. :( I don't get it either. I am amazed at how much you fit in during the day! :)

Karen: Sorry mom is not doing so well.

Yesterday ended up being a rest day. I ended up taking a 2 hour nap! I am changing things up a bit and will do yoga and a run after school today. It will be tough, but I think I can do it. :)

Have a super Monday Cheetahs!

Morning, friends! J

Hope everyone’s starting off her Monday on a positive note. I know Senora Judy is—she’s on the way to Mexico. Ole! And Posh and Jackie are off—enjoy! :) :) :)

Gloria— I don’t have any plans to head west this year, but previously, I’ve skied in Colorado. Love it out there! Would love to get to Utah someday, too. You could pretty much send me anywhere out west! Ooh, I’m a huge fan of Gallagher—Deeper Reading and Teaching Adolescent Writers are two of my go-to titles, full of great and practical ideas. I had the opportunity to attend one of his workshops before—it’ll be time and money well spent. I'm excited for you! Glad your visit with mom boosted her spirits.

Karen—sorry to hear about DM’s fall. Great that you are concentrating on the positive there is to find in the situation. I’m sure that will help you cope with all the stress. By all means, take care of your family, and don’t worry about checking in with us. You surely have enough going on.

This week, I’ve revised my rotation to reflect two days off. It’ll just be more realistic, I think, with my current work schedule. It incorporates 4 runs, 2 circuits, 3 yoga sessions, and 3 days of ab work.

It looks like this:

Monday – OFF
Tuesday – yoga
Wednesday – TM circuit (incl. abs)
Thursday – run + yoga
Friday – EXT circuit (incl. abs)
Saturday – run + yoga
Sunday – run + abs

Have a fantastic Monday! Yeah, yeah, I know some of us are Monday haters. But it is what you make it. J

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Carole – Good job on the 16 miles! Glad you didn’t have the wind we did yesterday! It calmed down some, but it was still cold yesterday afternoon. Thanks: re my post for Cathy. The funny thing about the political post is that it’s the same people (about 5 of them) debating each other. Take it off line if it’s that important to you.

Cathy – Yeah, I have a spare Rumble (remember the replacement discs we got?). The first ½ an hour doesn’t require a bag at all, and the second half can be done without one as well. I like it – but it’s not a fast paced jumping around like a lunatic kick box workout – you have to concentrate and put your all into the moves. Nope, never did dress Jim for Halloween :( Good job getting in a great workout especially after cracking a Corona!! And no matter what you say - I will NOT like Mondays! :p

Wendy – glad you had a great time!

Linda – Did you have fun at the concert? I think I’d have to go, too, even though I’m also not one to do things on week nights. That sounds like fun!! Yeah! Lower body weights!

Jackie – Oooh, tea and curling up on the couch sounds great – it’s what I’m doing right now – but it’s to get me started, not finish up a day. :p

Posh – Thanks so much for your txts! I do really, really appreciate them! I’m sure we can find a veggie pizza and the hotel does have spa services – so there… :p Jimmy is not quite as bad as the Beverly Hills Chihuahua – and he does NOT wear clothes (except the occasional Patriots jersey)!

Karen – sorry to hear about your mom. Take your time and check in when you can.

Gloria – ITA about B&G – hope I can walk tomorrow!! Enjoy your run after school!

Well, DH is off to the doctor’s today. I won’t go with him to this one, although I did tell him that if he is sent to the hospital again, I will go. Not fun times. We had a good day yesterday – watched the Pats win, and then hung out (he did some light yard work while spoiled dog went to the dog park). Nothing exciting but just a nice day. Today is Butts and Gutts – straight through except the ball work – as that’s still at the office. I’m dreading those pizza box kicks – yowza! They go on forever! I’ll also so the abs. Have a great day all.

Good Morning...

I slept until 7:15 today! Yeah, that's late for me! LOL

I was soooo tired y'day! I laid down in bed to watch tv before 8pm and although I didn't really fall asleep until 10 I was pretty much in a coma the entire time. I will prove my point by admitting to you what I was watching on tv...The Brady Bunch Movie... :p :D

So since you all are askin', I'll tell ya 'bout the flirtin'. ;) We went to a club on saturday night and the girls wanted to rent what they call a booth. It's a private area a few steps above the dance floor with some seating and a table where you can hang out, dance (there is room), etc and be able to get away from the insane crowd that builds up in that place. The price for the booth is the cost of 2 bottles of liquor (overpriced ofcourse, LOL) and then they bring you any mixers you want plus ice, glasses and we also got water. It was AWESOME!

Well, one of the gals I was with is super friendly, out-going and flirty. She is married and doesn't mess around but knows how to have a good time w/o crossing the line so to speak. She "picks up" guys every time she goes out to a place like this and this time was no exception. Thanks to her we had about 5 guys rotating in and out of our little booth there, chatting, drinking (don't worry, we were NOT letting them share our overpriced booze!LOL) and dancing with us most of the night. They were cute too! ;) We were there from 11pm to after 4 in the morning! Long night and tons of fun! Can't wait to go back!:D

Well, I gotta go get my 2nd cup of java and then I'll be back so stay tuned....:p

Gooooooooood morning ladies!

So things have been just non-stop since Friday so I'm sorry to have been MIA. I just got done reading through this weekend's posts but catching up on all the personals probably won't happen until tonight. SORRY!!!

Although I do want to send out some mega {{{{{{{GET WELL VIBES}}}}}}}} to Christine's DH! I hope his appt goes well today and, perhaps, the docs will ahve some good news and/or some treatment options for him.

Also, to Karen .... Oh, honey, I hope your mom is doing better! Please try to take care of yourself and I'm so sorry the family issues:(. Don't worry about posting if you can't...just remember we;re here anytime you need a shoulder:).

Carole - Congrats to mom on the sale of her house!!! That's tough to do with the market the way it is.

Wendy - Glad you had a fantastic time this weekend!!!

I've only gotten one workout in this weekend and, uh, W*O*W was it a goodie:eek:!!! I did Christine's sadistic Imax2/PH circuit...whooo boy! I forgot how endless the reps were in that one and, on top of the blasts, well, let's just say that walking (and riding:confused:) have been tough since Saturday.

Today was supposed to be a nice long run but I'm still hobbling too much to want to hit the pavement. Besides, I slept in till around 8 this morning:eek::confused:...my goodness, what is the world coming too? I needed the extra sleep as I started to feel something coming on yesterday and definitely want to head it off at the pass. I've got lots of errand to do today so all that walking should help a bit.

I'll stop my rambling now and get going on those errands. Have a great day ladies and I'll see you tonight!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I will give the JVC's a try later today. Glad you got in the rolling and stretching for the knee. Next time Sadie wears the vest, I will have to take a pic...:D...Mom is feeling good, but this is just emotional for all of us. Hard to leave a house you have lived in for 24 years. I will drive by it everyday...but I know full well this is the BEST thing...:)..The run was great. My right knee is feeling a bit tweaky today, I think it is a shoe issue...so I ordered some new ones. A BQ in Napa would be quite cool...:)...Re: the political thread, I do not believe you did anything wrong and I understand completely why you posted. Those threads will always come and go, I just wish this one would GO!! Good workout yesterday. Did you enjoy Tommy Boy? I have not watched that one. Looks like a good rotation for you this week.

Gloria...How cool you had snow! Sounds like you got in a nice nap. Have fun with yoga and a run later today.

Christine... It does seem like those political threads and other flaming ones do include the same few people causing the rifts. I agree, take it offline! I think we got up to 67 yesterday, but it did cool off soon when it got dark. Glad you and DH had a good day yesterday. I hope the DR appt gives him some relief. Have fun with B&G, that floorwork is a killer!

Wendy...sounds like an awesome girl's weekend...:)

Wendi...thanks re: my Moms house. It is a tough market and I am happy things worked out. I can see why you needed some extra sleep doing Christine's tough circuit.

Linda...I can understand you missing your long runs. You will be back there soon. Way to go with the EXT and lower body workout yesterday. I hope you enjoyed the concert.

Posh...Glad you had a nice time with DD18 in Napa. I enjoy watching some movies that I have missed. I think Matt is one great actor. I think a BQ in Napa would be great , but I am not totally thinking that yet...:D...I thought this B-day was your 29th, you are just a kid...:D..:D. Of course will will save cake for you, but you will do better than you think...:)

Karen..so sorry about your Mom's fall. What a blessing she did not break any bones. I bet your Dad feels awful...sending them both {{{HUGS}}}. Sorry to about the having it out with your sis. I can so relate. My oldest drove us nuts the other day when the 4 of us we were going over my Mom's finances and moving stuff...Hope the neck feels better today.

Thanks for all your well wishes on my Mom selling her house. We went to Mom's house yesterday and Karen brought Mom so she could start marking the things she wanted to keep. It left me a bit sad. I know in my heart this is the way it has to be, but as I told Cathy, I drive (and run) by her house everyday, and it will be bizarre seeing someone else living there. But in time I know I will get over that!!

Today is P90X S&A, abs and a 5-6 mile run.

Have a great day...:)

I'm back.

So today's work out will be an interval run and DM total body premix with KPC abs.....That's the plan anyway...:)

I was scheduled to do IMAX 2 on saturday which ofcourse I did NOT do so I was going to do it today. Joey is off from school though so I'd rather hit the gym. Today's work out should have been the DM premix so I am going to combine the 2 work outs since I can run this morning and do DM + abs at nap time.

Christine: Sending get well vibes to your DH. I hope they can pinpoint what's wrong soon so that they can help him. (((BIG HUGS)))

Carole: Is your mom's house the house you grew up in? My grandparents lived in the house my mom grew up in until they died. In fact, it's the same house that my grandfather grew up in. It was hard for my mom to go through the stuff and sell it after they passed. The only thing that made it a bit easier is that after my grandma died in the 80's my grandfather was lucky enough to love again. He remarried late in life and lived in the house with his new wife for several years before he died. Upon his passing, his wife remained in the house for several years alone until she died. Having her step-mom be the last one to live there gave her time to kind of detatch herself from the house before having to sell it.

Wendi: Hope you get everything on your to-do list crossed off today! Good job with that sadistic work out. No wonder you are hobbling!

Cathy: Hope you have a good day at school today. Enjoy your new rotation. I've considered doing a circuit/yoga rotation where I alternated circuit work outs with yoga and perhaps running since I can't leave that out but I have yet to do it. I think I am afraid of yoga 3x per week. I don't know if I can handle it! LOL

Gloria: You CAN do it...and you WILL. :) Forget about that 2 hour nap. You needed the rest!

Happy Monday!

I did iCycle #16/40 and CM#1. That iCycle is really hilly! I think I prefer that anyway over speed on the spin bike. Anyway, I started SS upper premix (34 min) before waking the kids. Didn't quite finish it, so I'll get to that as soon as I post this. Also, will get a FW segment in for my extended stretch. All this foam rolling and extra stretching has really helped that soreness. :)

Christine ~ I think your friend is more North of me?? However, all suggestions are welcome. :) Take it easy!?? Nah....j/k. ;) How's DH? I've only done the abs as well in ASC3. She does a good job with that. I recently pulled out HLKO and did well with the choreography. Let me know how tricky ASC3's is. :) Great job with your workouts. Enjoy B&G. IA about that floor work!! I have B&G on tap for tomorrow.

Gloria ~ We had flurries during the soccer game. Nothing major. It's cold out there, isn't it?? I"m definitely not ready for these temps. :(

Carole ~ WTG on the 16 miler. :) I like your workout today.

Cathy ~ Sounds like a plan to me re: yogis together. :) I'd like to do a yoga practice before bed, but some nights I just need to go to bed. Can you tell me about your preworkout hydration?

Wendy ~ Sounds like you had a great time! :)

Linda ~ How was the concert? I remember going to a bar in Atlanta when that song came on everyone started singing it. Fun times! No, I think you and Carole have legs of steel! :p

Jackie ~ Can you believe it...the Bears lost!!?!? Oh yeah, you're a Titan's fan, aren't you? **lol** blaming me (your post to Christine). :)

Posh ~ Cool about your bday being on the marathon day...what a way to celebrate. Oh, I was just kidding about the carrot cake. ;) That's one of dh's favs. Yes, would you do that, PM me about the hotel. I imagine I'd have to book that early. Your two recipes sound great. I'm at a lost as to what to make my family this week.

Karen ~ Oh dear, hope your mom is ok. Poor thing was just trying to get out for a bit. :( We keep trying to get my mil to get out, but she doesn't feel comfortable. Understandably. Take care of that neck. I'll keep your family in my prayers. (((HUGS)))

Wendi ~ WTG on doing that tough circuit!! Enjoy your day. :)

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

New to the Den

Good morning ladies!

Cathy was kind enough to give me the go-ahead to join the Cheetah den, if that's alright with you all! :)

A little about me... I'm a 30 yr old SAHM with two terrific toddlers, DS is 3 and DD is 2 (no, wasn't quite planned that way! ;) ) Prior to that I was a competitive swim coach-- club & high school. It's not what I went to school for (English & Liberal Arts) but I loved every minute of it. Maybe one day I'll get back to it. I was born & raised in the Chicagoland area but now call Utah home, not too far from SLC. LOVE the skiing out here, Cathy! I love to cook (had a short stint as a culinary arts major) and garden, in addition to being a music junkie & bookworm.

I've been a Cathe fan for a few years now-- I used to post with the Yoga group for a bit, but life got crazy over the summer and I was off the boards for awhile... and then when I came back it looked like they disbanded. But it's probably all for the best because I think I have a lot more in common with you guys. :D

This past year has been a return to fitness for me-- my last pregnancy was very difficult. I had preclampsia/toxemia and was on semi-bed rest for nearly half the 9 months. I put on weight like you wouldn't believe-- it didn't seem to matter what I ate or what I did. Cathe helped me get a lot of the baby weight off, but I decided that pushing myself to train for something would help me bust through the inevitable plateaus. So early this year I started training for triathlons. I had done one back in high school, and thought it would be a fun thing to get back into. It has been one the best things I've ever done for myself. My background is in swimming, so that's what comes easiest for me... But I love the running & cycling too. DH & I did two triathlons over the summer, and we look forward to doing more together. Currently I'm training for the SLC marathon next spring *crossing fingers.*

Unfortunately today I have some bad news... a couple days ago I went for an easy 4 miler and about 2.25 miles into it I started having some pain in my right foot. I stopped running right away, just walked a little to finish and the pain seemed to go away. However, the next day it started aching more and DH & my parents (I was visiting with them this weekend) convinced me to get it looked at. The news wasn't great-- I have a sprained foot with a possible stress fracture. Talk about bad timing! :( :( :(

So I'm afraid my training check ins are going to be pretty underwhelming for awhile. I have to take 2 weeks completely off, then we'll reevaluate with the doctor. I'm hoping this won't completely derail my plans for next spring, but if it's not in the cards I will get by I'm sure.

:D :D :D I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all!!! :D :D :D

All the best!
~Brighton

Good morning everyone!

Posh - Glad you had a nice visit with DD. Love the taste of black beans cooked in my crock pot. Loving the new running partner. He's telling me how to breathe and how to get up those hills easier. Most of all he doesn't mind slowing his pace to help me. Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

Cathy - Like what you did with the EXT workout yesterday. That should bust some boredom. I'll be off tomorrow and I'm looking forward to sleeping until 6:00. :D Cold weather always makes me sleep good. Workout plans look good.

Karen - Sorry the girls lost the tournament. Glad you made them feel better. So sorry to hear your mom had a fall. ((((HUGS)))) I can just imagine how she and your dad must feel. (((((HUGS))))) to you for the day you had too.

Gloria - Glad you could lift your mom spirits and she'll get a weekly visit from you. Enjoy your run and yoga.

Christine - Hope all goes well with DH today. Sounds like a nice relaxing day for you yesterday. I was watching Extreme Dogs (I think that's what it's called) on ESPN yesterday and thought about Jimmy. Wow  can those dogs move. Enjoy B&G today.

Wendy - Glad you got to sleep in. You need it after that weekend. :D Sounds like a fun night of innocent flirting. Life is too short not to enjoy. Have a good run today!

Wendi - Glad you got in a good workout this week. Thought I might have to pull out the sculpting stick.;) Glad you got some extra z's too.

Carole - Hope new shoes solves the tweaky knee. You're doing too well now. I know how you and your mom feel about selling the house. I still look at mine and think how strange it is to see someone else in there. But, I don't want to go back either. Enjoy S&A, Abs and your run.

Dallas - Good job on the workout today. Glad the rolling has helped. Don't watch a lot of football but I will look at scores. Sorry about the Bears but they can beat somebody else. :p

I did iTread #19 Sprints. I warmed up with a few minutes on the EXT and 6 Minute Abs and ended with some good stretching.

Enjoy your Cheetahful day!

Brighton - Welcome to the Cheetah den! Tough pregnancy for you. Glad you found something to help bust through the plateaus. Sorry for the foot problems. Hope it doesn't keep you down too long.

Hi Girls

Just a flyby to say that I finally dragged my arse to the gym and did 2.25 miles of intervals plus .75 mile ss run. It was a goodie and I should still have energy for weights later on.

BBIAB!

WELCOME to our group Brighton!:)

Hey there!

Karen - Oh my gosh! I am so sorry about your mom's fall! Thank God nothing was broken! Awww! Your poor dad! Bless his heart! I'll bet he does feel bady, but it wasn't his fault. Sorry your sister is giving you problems! You don't need that!

Posh - Yum! The Chili/Squash sounds good! I am glad you had a good visit in Napa! I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed for Chicago, too! I hope it works out!

Cathy - Great job on the EXT, yoga, and abs! I had to go read "the thread" you were talking about. I don't think you said anything at all wrong! I understand completely what you were saying!

Gloria - I am envious of how you do your yoga so regularly! Enjoy your run and yoga tis evening! Good for you on listening to your body and resting yesterday and taking a nap!!

CHristine - I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your DH is okay! Enjoy B&G! LOL - I agree about the pizza presses! Glad you had a nice relaxing day yesterday!

Wendy - Sounds like you had a great night! LOL....I was wondering about the "flirting" too! Just as long as you didn't give 'em your expensive liquor ;)

Carole - Enjoy your run and P90X S&G and abs! I definitely understand what you mean about your mom's house. It will be tough for a while, but like you said, it is for the best.

Dallas - Great job on the iCycle and SS! LOL- thanks about the Legs of steel comment! Yes, that song always brings a smile to my face!

Brighton - Welcome! Oh dear, I am sorry about your injury! I hope it heals soon! I look forward to "getting to know you"! I also had preclampsia with both of my daughters :( My oldest DD had it when she was pregnant with my GD. It is very scary!

Jackie - Great job on your workout!

The concert was really good! We were 4 rows from the front and center stage. IT was perfect and I was glad it wasn't "too" loud! I was really glad I went.

I didn't do anything this morning. I may this evening....not sure. That innocent looking lower body workout yesterday is rearing it's head with some mighty DOMS this afternoon! It could be from where I did no lower body work the last month, though!

Linda

Cathy - I had to go read "the thread" you were talking about. I don't think you said anything at all wrong! I understand completely what you were saying!

I checked it out too.
Wow, Cathy, you were a class act. WTG! :D :D :D
I'm glad I got out of that thread when I did... when did people get so cranky on the boards? It sounds like it's been a recurrent issue lately-- so sad!

Hmmmm....it's almost 3:30 and not a weight has been lifted yet. Me thinks the ol' double work out plan is just NOT going to happen today. Then again, it's me we're talkin' about here so perhaps I need to reserve that comment for several hours yet...:p

Linda: Ooooh, glad you had a blast at the concert. Great seats! Who did you see again? Forgive me but my memory like a sieve at times! Enjoy that bootay DOMS. Gotta love it!:D Sheet, after what we paid for that booze there was NO WAY those boys were gettin' any!:p We did, however, share a bit with our waitress on the sly cause she was lots o' fun. The best part is that we took the bottles with us (even though technically you aren't supposed to) and I am going to get the vodka. More Chocolate Martinis for me, baby!!!!!:D:D:D

Jackie: Oh we enjoyed alright. One of the guys was just too adorable for words. He had one of those faces that just made ya melt. He also had a really cute personality as well. I was a good girl though. ;) LOL

Brighton: As I said before, welcome to the group! We love having new people join us! I hope your foot heals quickly so that you can get back to your training! Many of us here just completed or will be starting mary training over the next several months. I'll be participating in my first full mary in May. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. Also wanted to mention that I'm a SAHM as well. I have a 3 1/2 year old boy. He's in pre-k pretty much full time now so I have a p/t job 4 mornings a week to keep me busy but am still home with him after school, etc and I can bring him to work with me if he has a day off! I work in the babysitting room at my gym so he loves to come with me and play with the other kids. It's a nice set up.

Dallas: Hope you were able to complete your SS work out today!

Okay, that catches me up. I haven't done a thing around this house all day. I've been so out of it from the weekend. Perhaps I should go wash a dish or something to earn my keep around here! :D:p:D

BBL!

This is funny....

Christine—Been thinking about you & Ved today. Thanks for the update!...I do recall something about replacement disks with that one. Sure, I wouldn’t mind taking it off your hands. J Thank you... *lol* re: Mondays. I hear you—I just refuse to fall into the Eeyore mode that some folks do. Sometimes fakin’ happy makes it stick, ya know?
th_smilefactory.gif

Wendi—no worries about personals. Just knowing you’re well & happy is good enough.

Carole—so what’d you think of the JVCs? I understand the attachment to the house. My Oma and Opa lived in a very small but cozy cottage in Germany, and when they died, the house eventually turned to rubble. It was a jarring sight to see and a bit sad. When I go over, I still go to visit the site…So, (((HUGS))) I think we all get it…Did you stick with the same model you’ve been wearing? You and Shelly will be tearing through ‘em with your sky-high mileage. How did the knee feel for today’s run?…Thanks for the support. I didn’t feel I said anything wrong, either. Just a regrettable thread altogether. I did like Tommy Boy. I enjoy those low-brow comedies. J

Dallas—I’m so glad the foam rolling and stretching is working for you…Do you have any PM yoga workouts? My, ahem, “preworkout hydration” was just a coupla impromptu cervesas. J Anti-hydration, really. *lol*

Brighton!!—welcome! Glad you made it. But please—it’s SO not like that—we welcome everyone. There’s no green light thing or anything like that. J I was so excited to read your background—English Liberal Arts? Here, too! (I’m an 8th grade English teacher.) And I share your love of skiing, Chicago, music, and books. Cooking? Well, not so skilled in that department. But eating—yes!!! J *lol* Congrats on recovering from a difficult pregnancy and getting back into competing in tri’s. So impressive! Sorry to hear about the stress fracture, though. That is a bummer. But it is probably early enough that with conservative treatment, it won’t deter you at all from your spring tri! Thank you re: the thread. So where do you recommend skiing in your area? So many choices! Edited to correct myself: saw your blog--awesome!--and see that you are training for a marathon, not a tri. Duh--sorry!

Jackie—so, would you share with us your running partner (RP’s) J advice for running the hills easier? Always love to get tips from fellow runners…Oops! I wasn’t sure if you were off today or tomorrow. Hey, it’s funny how we think sleeping in until 6 am is an indulgence! J Yes, that was a fun way to do a circuit while watching TV. Will have to do that again.

Linda—what great seats you had. Glad you enjoyed it. Doesn't sound like you were hurtin' for it at all--fantastic!....thanks for the support…I’ve heard many similar comments about teachers over the years, and after having just gotten through a week that was a bit on the grueling side, it just pressed all the wrong buttons for me. In retrospect, though, I understand that I cannot allow myself to react to that sort of thing. *lol’d* at your comment to Wendy about not givin’ up the goods. J Funny!... If that theory about the legwork is right, then I’m in *serious* trouble because I cut it out way before! *gulp* J

Wendy—yay for you sleeping in. I love yoga, so I won’t mind multiple sessions in a week. It’s just that it’s one of the first things I seem to cut when time gets tight. Mistake, though, as I was telling Dallas. Hams, quads, and hips need some work. Thanks for posting the funny. I am chuckling as much over their leotards! *ha ha*

In the spirit of funnies, here’s one that caused me to just about bust a gut.

Have a great night!

Cathy: Yes, the leotards are quite funny as well. My mom and I actually wore stuff similar to that in the early 90's when we were taking jazzercise classes together 2x per week. YIKES! If I could commit to the Centergy and/or yoga classes at the gym then I would be much more likely to stick with it but left on my own, yoga goes by the wayside VERY easily and it's VERY HARD to get going again....

Wendy..No, this house was my parents 2nd house. Mom has not been in it for a couple of months so I feel she is somewhat detached. I know during this short escrow and all the moving of stuff it will be sad for her and us in many ways. But people have to move and go on...:)..Hope you have a great workout. Cute gum joke...:D

Dallas..My sisters and I are staying at the Napa River Inn, if you and Posh want to check that one out. Wow, killer workout for you today!

Brighton...Welcome!!! Thanks for sharing about you! Tough pregnancy but I see you got yourself in shape with Cathe after...:)...That is so cool you and DH do triathlons. I would just like to get my DH out of the Lazyboy chair! So sorry about the foot. When can they tell if it IS a stress fracture? I sure hope it is just a sprain. Taking it easy for a couple of weeks is a great idea. Keep us posted..

Jackie...I hope the new shoes do the trick too. It really does not bother me running, it is just after at certain times, like going up stairs...I know many people have done this selling/moving thing so it's nice to have company...:)..Good job with iTread Sprints and 6 min abs.

Linda...Glad you enjoyed the concert. Maybe a rest day is in order with the lower DOMS...Thanks, I am glad you understand the moving thing...:)

Cathy...I ended up not using the JVC'S today but I will tomorrow. My sister has this looney neighbor and he had an electrical fire early this morning, Karen went over to see if he was okay and he gave her a line of obscenities. He has some issues...anyway, I didn't want to use them for my run as I would be going by his house (I wanted to hear well!!) and check on my Mom, you never know about these kind of people. I bet that was sad about your Oma & Opa's house...:(...I knew you cheetahs would understand and thanks for the hugs...:)..Yes I did order a pair of Brooks Adrenalines like the last pair. My knee was fine for the run and has not felt bad today...:)..I also enjoy lowbrow comedies. I love to laugh...:D...Loved the complaint pic. I would have found that useful in my banking days...:)

I am getting some laundry and house chores done. I need to finish up P90X S&A this afternoon. I had to cut it short this morning.

Guess what I'm doing ??????????? Sitting in front of a nice cozy warm fire. I love when dh lights that up. Now it's time to read a good book and get cozy in my well placed chair just for me. :p

Today I did an endurance workout. My neck is still stiff but when I work out it loosens up quite nice until reality sets in again.

Mom's face is pure green/yellow today and her leg is pure purple. I told her that last week with Halloween would have been better for this. She laughed so her spirits are still in tack.

Wendy- I guess what happens in AC stays in AC. It sounds like quite a time. I remember those days long ago. I think everyone has one of those friends that is the life of the party. It makes it more fun that way.

Linda- I hear you on the lower body. When I began slow and heavy I thought what the heck is up with that. You would think with all the running it would be a piece of cake but it's completely the opposite.

Jackie-Great workout today. Sprints are my all time least favorite thing to do. You did awesome.

Cathy- Your rotation looks great. I use to do yoga almost 5 days a week about two years ago. I was really into it and so zen. Then somehow it got pushed to the way side and I focused on other workouts. I does always seem in the end to come full circle back to yoga again. There is something about it that makes me feel so good. Bryan Kest is my second husband in my pretend life :p

Gloria- 2 hour nap sounds like heaven. I bet it did the body good.

Christine- Hope dh didn't have to go the hospital and better yet you didnt' have to go. I hate going to hospitals especialy now with flu season. Hope you can walk after the Butts and Guts.

Wendi- Good job on that circuit. I don't think I would run either.

Carole- I know it will be hard to not go to your mom's everyday but it is for the best. Where will she be going now. I remember when my grandmother sold her home some 10 year after my grandfather died. She didn't want to move into a senior apt complex but in reality she could not keep up with that house or that yard anymore. I know it will be most hard for her.

Dallas- Awesome job on the I cycle. I hope your MIL gets better. YOu share my prayers as well.

Brighton- Welcome to the den. These girls are the best. Had my fair share of highs and lows ( running and otherwise) and you could not find a better group of women. Hope the foot mends soon.

I think I'm all caught up. Late checkin in but better than not. I'll take it.
