Cathe workouts with the least equipment?

Hi everyone,

I'm having a baby soon but I want to keep up with my Cathe workouts now and after the birth. :7

However, I just don't have the time (or the room) any more to lug out lots of equipment. I have to store everything away in my small apartment and getting bands, high step, step, barbell, med ball, weights etc. out is a pain.

What would you recommend for workouts with the least equipment? Cardio or weights, either/both.

Thanks in advance! :)

What equipment do you currently have, or is that list the things you have, but don't want to lug out each time? I have to take mine to the living room each time, and then put away and I know the hassle to which you are referring!!

The "Kick, punch & crunch" needs no equipment at all (in the kickboxing section) but you do need the ball for the abs section at the end. Maybe you could do the abs from another workout without the ball...

I agree, that's a good suggestion. I don't have Kickmax but I believe that's no equipment as well (?). Aside from a chair or something for the leg toning segment.

Rubyrule, if you check either Cathe's site or Collage they have the equipment needed listed with every workout. If you check there and find some dvds in particular that you're interested in, you could ask us here what moves each piece of equipment is specifically used for. It might turn out that you'd prefer to do certain moves without equipment or make substitutions, etc. Sometimes a piece of equipment is only used for one move too, so you might be able to do 99% of the workout without it (which is still a lot of workout }().

When I visit my parents I take along a dvd that doesn't require any equipment. That would be any kickbox workout....KPC (a ball needed for abs though), KM (a chair for leg drills), Cardio Kicks and 4ds KB. Although with 4ds there would be a lot on the rest of the dvd you couldn't do. Cathe has hi/lo cardio on SJP and maybe one other. But, then usually with hi/lo you need more space to move around.

Good luck!

Hi, I have everything...high step, step, med balls, bands, barbell, dumbbells...ugh. I can't stand gettig it all out any more!!

Hi there, thanks for the KPC suggesting, it's one of my favourites!

I was thinking about what you posted and I think a lot of the barbell wokr could be done with dumbbells so that gets rid of one bit of equipment (I never go that heavy so it's no real loss.)

Kickmax is now on the list, also. I hardly ever do that one for some reason.

Cario Kicks I haven't done in....forever! I had forgotten about that. I have 4DS and yes, all the equoment does stop me using it as much as I would like. I'll use the kickbox an abs, though.

SJP I like. Thanks.

If you have the Slim Series workouts, those would fit the bill. She only uses 3-5 lb (sometimes an 8 lb) dumbells.

Cathe's going to be making a "travel" workout soon that uses minimal, if any, equipment. I'm assuming it'd just use a band.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion. I wish I could stick to SS but it's soooooo boring!

I'm looking forward to the travel workout. :)
