Although the anticipation for the Body Blast DVD's is d@mn near killing me (I ordered them 05/09/03!), I wanted to go on record as saying I'd preorder a YEAR in advance if that was what it took.
I did a brief calculation: I paid $130.00 for the whole 4-DVD Taco. $130 divided by 4 equals $32.50 per disc. Each disc has two complete workouts strictly as produced and filmed, bringing the cost of each of these to $16.25 per workout . . . IF these workouts were the only things on each disc. But they're not, are they? There are premixes galore and chaptering down to a fare-thee-well to make the number of POSSIBLE workouts cost about a few pennies PER DISC. Let's not even talk about the mish-moshes possible among discs.
I did a bit of a search on Collage Video, and it appears that a random sampling of heavy-hitting instructors, including Karen Voight, Kathy Smith, Mindy Mylrea, and Gilad, do offer their workouts on disc. Each disc contains only one workout, with no added bonus features or premixes. Each disc costs between $16.95 and $19.95; Smith and Gilad offer compilations costing $34.95 - $69.95.
Miss Cathe - I've said it before: you aren't simply riding the wave, you ARE the wave in terms of exercise DVD production. Waiting for your newest productions is like waiting for a Tiffany diamond.
