***Cardio Coach PP Saturday***...results!

Hi There-

I did CCPP this morning on the TM. (MY schedule worked better for it to be done today)

Thank you CCPP participants once again for a most meaningful workout.

Shirl- IA this is a special group.

Jodi- I am sorry about the passing of your Mom.

Becki & Michele- love to your families

Carola- You continue to inspire me as a pillar of strength.

Beloved Heather- hugs for little Darcy.

If I have forgotten anyone, pleas know that you are thought of fondly as a part of CCPP Saturday.

STATS:
No extra challenge for me, booty DOMS and a tight schedule forbade it.

63 minutes and 6.5 miles accomplished.

Then it was 10" of my own yoga poses to stretch out.

Good Luck to everyone who is participating tomorrow and/or Sunday:)

I did mine today too. I did most of it outside and it was cold. I got too cold and only did 4 of the challenges. It was dedicated to all those who had recently losses and those with current struggles and to my brother who passed away 6 years ago this week.

I did mine today, too. My very 1st CC PP. I was a bit flummoxed when I realized that beastly sprint/hill combo from he!! from vol 7 was the 1st challenge. That one is a bear. It took me forever to get thru that when I 1st got Vol 7. I've been able to do it for a while now, but it has never gotten any easier once I was able to get thru it. It is my hardest challenge in the whole bunch I thought "what have I gotten myself into with this CC PP thing?" Then, it got better. It was actually nice having that challenge at the beginning, bc I was fresh, and it made everything else seem so much easier. I really really really like this one.

I liked Jim's comments throughout as well. I listened to the interview w/ him beforehand and really enjoyed it. I'm not normally into the feel good-heartwarming-I did it-Lifetime TV stories, but his story didn't come across like that at all and I found it very interesting and motivational. At lot of the times, things like that come across to me just as sappy schlock, but this didn't, and I am grateful. Its part of the reason I put off getting it for so long. I could've done without the song at the end, but everything else was great. I'm going to have to do this more than once a month for sure. I did it today, bc I didn't think I was gonna have time tomorrow, but I liked it so much, I'm tempted to try to find time to squeeze it in again tomorrow. This one is a hit!

Next time, I'm sure I'll tack on what ever the extra challenge is and dedicate the time to someone or someones. This time, it was just about me testing it out and getting a feel for it. Thanks everyone for pointing out CC to begin with and then posting about this one monthly until I bought it. I really do appreciate it and had a lot of fun doing it, and hope to do it with the Sat group going forward.

Nan

Nan,

I am not a sappy person either, but I tell ya, Jim's story is something else! Just to hear him talk about it is a real wake-up call to me and my pitty-party type of emotions I can get!

So glad you plan to join us each month! :D

Judy -- AWESOME run!! I've never gone more than 7 miles WITH the additional challenge so I have a ways to go before I catch up to you. ;)

Jean -- I'm amazed you were able to do 4 challenges outside!! It's freezing out there . I'll remember your brother in my workout.

Nan -- I completely understand your comments about PP. I was a bit worried when I got it that it might be full of "schlock", too, and now I'm so grateful to have it and this check-in group. Shirl said it best in the other PP thread when she wrote that it must be the positive energy and a greater purpose at work. Welcome to the group!! :)

Mary!! -- I feel like we haven't talked in AGES!! I started a PP thread on the CC forum, too. I sure miss our check-in group over there and I'd like to try and get it going again. I've had so much on my plate and it's been hard to keep up. You do NOT have "pitty-party" emotions -- you're about the dearest thing I've ever 'met'. ;)

I'm holding off until tomorrow to do the workout. DH and I had a bit of an emergency here last night (nothing to worry about -- he somehow managed to get his car stuck in a snowbank :p  :D ) and help didn't come until 4:30 AM! I only slept about 3 hours last night and I need a little more than that to get through PP. I'll be with you in spirit and sending my positive energy your way, and I'll post again tomorrow after I do the workout.

Good morning, all!

I did CCPP yesterday on my new spin bike, and dedicated my workout to all the wonderful folks here who are going through so much right now, as well as to the memory of my mom, whom I lost eight years ago to cancer (on 2/9). I couldn't do the extra challenge since my bad knee started acting up, but I thought of you all!

Michele -- Glad that DH is alright!

I just finished ccpp with some kettlebell work mixed in for some of the hill work (squats, walking lunges w/ a pass, even just some swings). I could not add on the bonus challenge. I was sending good thoughts out to all who need them.

My doggies and I just finished CCPP plus challenge 1 from volume 3 outside. I was struggling to find my breathing rythm today and having overdone it with Cardio Coach Vol. 1 and DrillMax back to back yesterday didn't help today .

I was struggling through every single sprint with my legs feeling like cement blocks until the start of the additional challenge when I FINALLY found my rythm. Better late than never I guess. We completed the workout at 6.4 miles and my legs are ON FIRE!!!

The positive vibes of this workout as well as the energy it creates never ceases to amaze me. Jim's incredible strength and focus are such an inspiration. As are so many of you how have suffered such great losses and are going through tremendous hardship, your strength, courage and grace is truly incredible and it is every single one who participates in this workout who makes this a truly unique event.

And uhmmm, Michele, I think I need to have a little talk with you!!!! I don't know if I should hit you over the head or hug you :) YOU ARE CRAZY!!!!! But I love you to pieces. I'll call you next week, mkay? But I just wanted to say thanks, I got it and my kids were wondering why I was in tears ;)

Have a fantabulous weekend everyone!

Darn it! I thought since my hip was much better, I'd do PP on my treadmill. Big mistake! It started hurting by the end of the first challenge and my jog/run turned into a walk/jog:( So since I was walking I thought I'd crank up my incline to 12% and all of the sudden it just stopped blinking error! WTH?! It goes higher than that! GRRRR......

Sorry for the pity party ladies:eek: It was just so frustrating. I felt like quitting but then I thought about all the people I was dedicating this workout to and just plugged along. I did finish but skippped the challenge.

Congrats to everyone else. Until next time........

Judi

Michele- Get some rest!! I await your results tomorrow;)

Ahhh another CCPP day and I am done!!!!

I did not do a new playlist for this month's challenge so I just did it as originally planned and boy do I feel great.

Now off to peel off my workout gear and hit the shower :)

I really need to do this CC more than once per month as its just so motivating for me.

One whole year of CC-PP!!!

:p Okay, so I'm a little proud of myself today...one full year of CC-PP (even after Cathe's July RT)! Luv to do this one and the add-on's keep it fresh, or kill ya, heheheh!

Dedicated my workout to GF Michele and her niece - had some tears lady when I was listening to CB's "Another Day". You have an awesome w/o tomorrow and tell DH to stay clear of snowbanks, ha!

See ya next month (wonder what it will be like doing CC-PP after STS???),

Just checking in with my CCPP + Challenge workout. I didn't go as far as I normally do because I decided to do the hills at the highest incline my treadmill will go (12%). That made the workout fresh and just as intense but in a different way! It definitely made me enjoy the sprints when they were offered!

Carola, I was right there with you with the cement legs, but when the extra challenge started it was like it all just clicked! That was a fun one!

I thought of everyone's life challenges and you all pushed me on. I especially thought of Jodi knowing that pain. Mothers are dear, especially to us daughters.

Congrats to everyone!

I am done with my second CCPP workout. I worked out on the treadmill including the added challenge and had to restart it because it automatically switches off after an hour! What an awesome workout! I thought of all of you as I was working it. I have been working up to jogging/running during the sprints and was able to bring it today.

Hooray for all of us who are doing something healthy to improve our lives. Oh dear, I think the positive vibes are still with me from the workout.

I finished CCPP + the added challenge! My 2 DDs were with me watching a video (all in garage, me on my bike) and we had a great time :) I must admit I was tempted to NOT do the added challenge, but knew I had to come here and check-in and pushed through that negative talking in my head and the pain in my legs! Yippee! :D

Have a great day to those who finished and a great workout to those who haven't ;)

Oh, I was planning on doing this workout today with everyone here, but I ended up taking my two daughters and niece rollerskating and now I'm running out to meet a friend for dinner so I missed it! I'm going to try tomorrow but even if it doesn't happen, I always enjoy reading everyone else's post on this check in!! (Does that count? :) )

I did PP on the bike this afternoon. I had some trouble getting through it this time around; maybe because my workouts have been kind of hit or miss this month with everything going on. There were a couple of times I wanted to just stop altogether, but I thought about everyone else cheering me on and dedicating their workouts to me and my mom, and I was able to keep going. At one point the batteries in my cheapo bike died, and replacing them gave me a nice break at least. By the last challenge I had hit my second wind.

Thanks so much to everyone who was thinking about me...as Cathe might say "I can feel your energy" and it made all the difference!

I just completed my first CCPP workout!!:D I didn't do the added challenge since I didn't know what to expect from the workout as is. It's a tough one that's for sure. I loved it though. I hope to get in on all the other challenges as well.

((HUGS)) to you Jodi. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose your mother. My mom is my best friend and I know I'd be devestated if anything happened to her. Hang in there.

I finished PP this morning around 11:00. It was another beautiful crisp day and so I did it outside. I ran my furthest and fastest yet, 9 miles in 80 minutes. I ended up 1 1/2 miles from home by the time I finished our bonus challenge... then I heard Jim say "Once the rocket's been let out of the cage, then it gets easier. You make the choice, now let's move forward." And then I heard the rockets blast off in each ear... and it fired me up! :D

So I decided what the heck, and added on the 5th challenge from PP again. I'm really surprised that I could do it, but then that's exactly what Press Play does. It pushes you beyond your "limitations". It's amazing.

I was inspired throughout by all of you. And Michele I kept thinking that we were probably doing PP at the same time. :)

I'm so happy to be involved with all of you in this check-in! It's my favorite workout of the month! The energy is the most positive, it's palpable. And it brings tears of joy to my eyes and to my heart every single time. What other workout can do that? It gets better every single time.

Peace to all of you,

Becky

Hello everyone!!

I'm sorry to check in so late but we had a big day and I was gone for much of it. I didn't even start my w/o until this evening, right around the same time as the kickoff! I actually muted the TV so I could watch the SB while doing PP. :p :D

I gave it my all but it was a little too much for me this time around. My workouts have been spotty since September, and I don't have to tell you guys how tough PP is ;) . I KNOW I could not have done any better today. I dug down and pushed hard and I made it through 4 challenges before I had to skip to the cool down. I've struggled in the workout before but I've always been able to finish it. :(

I WILL finish it next time! I am determined to get back on track with diet and exercise. I simply must. ;)

I carried each of you with me today and I would not have made it through 4 challenges if not for the warmth of your positive energy and prayers. I hope I didn't let you down. I must admit that when I read your posts I felt like a slacker and didn't want to post my results , but you have been so kind and supportive and I owed you that much.

You guys are truly THE best and I can't wait to see you back here on February 28th, and I will be ready to kick some butt! :D

Michele -

In no way are you a slacker. We are each on our own journey, and it differs from time to time. We cannot always be at the top of our game. Remember all of life's factors come into play. I am just so proud of your for doing it in the first place given all that is going on around you.

hugs and good going yesterday!!!
