Bummer!

Yesterday was my birthday and I asked my hubs about a month or so ago if he & our boys would get me the low impact series. So last night they gave me some really pretty jewelry and he said, "I didn't get you the new workout b/c you got STS for Mother's Day so you don't need another program, right?"

Oh no he didn't!

It took many years for DH to figure out that his life was much better if he got on the bandwagon and got excited for me when I get a new workout. It only took me about 15 years to train him ;)

Aw, I am so sorry! It just amazes me how slow men can be. Hmmmm, maybe it will be your Christmas gift?! Huh?! Maybe?!? Hopefully!?!

So now you have to *connect the dots* really closely...for Christmas or your anniversary, etc., send a link with Low Impact in your cart ready for check out!

I'm a single lady amd my mom constantly harps on me about how many workout videos I have. I have to constantly tell her that the variety keeps things from getting boring to me and I'm one of those that likes structure in many aspects of my life. I like Cathe's workouts because there are specific rep patterns that she uses and I always have something to work up to. I love the rotations as well because I don't have to think about what I am going to do each day and she makes each rotation with a purpose.

My mom can do the treadmill all day but not me, I used to do that and was really bored with my workouts so I just need her to get on board.

Happy Birthday Dixie Girl, mine was yesterday as well -Go Virgos!!!!!!!

Simple solution: appreciate what they did get for you because it is lovely and it may have been what the kids really wanted to see you getting too. Other people's idea of "special" is always different from our own. Present giving can be fraught: so few peeple have atalent for it.

So, order the Low Impact series for yourself. You are a grown woman and you have spending power. Flex it.

I have given up on my husband ever getting me what I really want. I just get it for myself and that's that! If he ever comments on how many DVDs i have or shoes, I just smile, scof and move on. It's my business, end of story.

Girl, order it for yourself! Who says it has to be a gift from someone else?! Say thanks for their present and then grab your credit card and get online. Don't wait for a holiday or rely on someone else to get you something you really want. Do it for yourself. That's the glorious thing about being an adult!

Maybe they did order it for you. The jewelry may have been their backup plan since the series hasn't been released yet. Double check with your hubby before ordering , just in case

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Well, I don't know your husband etc. well enough so I would say:

1) Hope the jewelry was nice - it always is and it's not something you would buy yourself.
2) It really sucks that your husband didn't listen to you - now you have to go out and spend MORE money to make yourself happy:rolleyes:
3) and finally, next time he asks for a birthday gift.....buy him something DIFFERENT! (Payback is a bitch)

You go girl and get yourself that series - I ordered it a long time ago!

FYI - For probably the last 10 years, every Christmas I get something for fitness. Last year was two 30 lb. and one 35 lb. weights! One year it was a 8 lb. fitness ball. We laugh - my husband is always struggling to carry my Christmas present out of Dick's Sporting Goods! LOL

Happy Birthday DixieGirl:) My husband doesn't get it either. Now I order the dvd's & tell him I've got my Mother's Day/Christmas etc. Works much better!:D

Hey Girls,

Thanks for the words of wisdom and the birthday wishes :) I knew you all would cheer me up.

Ebony, Happy Birthday to you too!

I did ask my hubs if he got it for me for Christmas and he jokingly said, "none of your business". So, either he did get it or based on the look on my face when he told me he didn't get it for my bday, he's going to order it. I'll have to dig deeper and find out for sure.

I can't believe I missed the bundle, though :(

Happy belated birthday, Dixiegirl!! Take the jewelry to a pawn shop... I'M KIDDING!! Bribe your kids to tell Daddy that Mommy wants Santa to bring you the LIS.... or just do what I would do and others have suggested- whip out that card and order it yourself!
