Hi Everyone!
I did Imax 3 and those 20 squat thrust climbers ... wow I haven't done the whole BC workout yet ... after just 20 of those squat thrust climbers I can tell I'm in for quite a challenge! Have a great workout and super Saturday everyone!

RE: August Rotation Check In, 08/05/05

Good morning.

I did the brisk 5 minute walk, (100 walking lunges, 50 JJ * 4), dog liked the JJ and kept jumping up on me, did (16 pushups, 100 crunches, 25 dips) * 4 and that all took me 40 minutes. I just kept moving from one thing to the next, got me working.

Later a swim.

Well, I feel like I slayed a dragon:eek: ! I did Imax 3....very tough for me today and the stretchmax tape which felt wonderful.

I am looking forward to restmax and sleepmax for the remainder of today and tomorrow. :D

Any suggestions on how to modify next week? I can only work out four days (mini vacation) and I am not a runner at all. Shins hurt way too much. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Have a great workout and a wonderful day. Week one done only three more to go!

Enjoy your weekend!

RE: August Rotation Check In, 08/05/05

As you all know, I'm a day behind. I did PH today instead of the homemade workout(I want to keep a little bit more weight work in this rotation). I got a good 8 hours of sleep last night and my energy is back today. I will be working at school again next week, but I don't anticipate the labor to be as difficult as most of my big things are in place in my new classroom(unless I change my mind...sigh). Anyway, I may do Imax 3 with the BC squat thrust climbers tomorrow and try to get back on schedule. I'm sure I will get behind again...oh well. I'm loving this rotation!!!

Karen - since you are not a runner and can only work out 4 days next week, why don't you just leave off the running workouts...that leaves the other 4 scheduled workouts.

I don't have imax3 so I will do imax2 then the squat thrusts. I plan to add a whole body weight workout in later.

RE: August Rotation Check In, 08/05/05

Hello ladies, Happy Saturday:

I did IMAX 3 (getting better....I'm able to do more of those air jacks and tuck jumps) and proceeded to do the squat thrust climbers. Those things are absolutely horrific!;( Yikes! I took my time with those. I had to practice a few times to get my form down plus it doesn't help when you are doing this on a carpeted area. However, I managed to complete 20. After this punishment;) , I decided to add a bonus 30 minute brisk walk. I must say, now I feel like Wonder Woman:) !

Anyway, have a great day everyone.

PS, I'm looking forward to tomorrow--Week one is down ladies!

Take care,

Katrina

Hi Everyone!

Imax 3 was challenging for me today. My squat thrust climbers were really pathetic, but I managed to do all 20 while huffing and puffing.

Have a great weekend.

Hi all! I subbed Lowmax for IM3 because I've only tried IM3 once and wasn't too successful. The squat thrust climbers were hard and I'm sure my form suffered during the last 10. I can tell this week's workouts have really worked my lower body but I felt my upper body could use a little more so I added the ME upper body split. I am so looking forward to "rest" day cause I know BC Tuesday is right around the corner. Have a great weekend everyone and congratulations on making it through week one. Gayle, hope you're enjoying the weekend away! SueM

That's a great idea Angela. Thank you so much. What grade do you teach? I work one on one with special needs kids. This year I am hoping to go back to kindergarten. Last year I ended up at the high school. What a difference!

Anyways, thanks for the suggestion. That will work for me. I think I will include one day of power shopping with my mom!:p

This was a great day because I got to do my alltime favorite Cathe cardio workout...IMAX3. The time flies when I do this. It was quite a challenge though adding the 20 terminator climbers at the end but I made it. I did do a pretty good imitation of a sweaty tomato though. Yesterday I decided to see how many pushups in a row I could do rather than break it up into sets of 8. I had never tried that before. I made it to 60 before conking out. Needless to say, I look forward to a good rest day.

Ok I am back to say I am done with imax2 and the squat thrusts. Grat workouts ladies! Later I will do my weight workout. I am off to do errands.

Well, hello everyone. I decided to jump in on this rotation. I've been doing mostly GS rotation lately, and looked at this august rotation for a couple of days. Since this week one is almost over, i'm going to do the saturday IMAX 3, followed by push ups from C&T and coremax 1. Then tomorrow rest and start week two with you all. This will be a three week rotatin for me instead of four, but that is usually record for me holding true to a rotation;-)

Looking for subs for the 3 and 5 mile run, as i haven't run in several months and don't want to start w/ injury. I do have a spin bike, so maybe roughly how long of a spin session do you think would equal a 3 and 5 mile run??

have a great day off everyone:)

Wendy

Hi everybody!
Today was day 5 of the rotation for me. It is also my "no high impact" workout day, so I'll do those evil jumping jacks tomorrow.
To keep the intensity up I decided to do it bootcamp style. My entire workout took 110 minutes.
Low Max warm up
Low Max step combo 1, 150 walking lunges,12 push ups,20 tricep dips,
50 abs (front crunches on stability ball)
Low Max step combo 2, 150 walking lunges, 10 push ups, 20 dips, 50 abs (reverse rockets with medicine ball)
Low Max step combo 3, 150 walking lunges, 16 push ups, 50 abs (side crunches on stability ball), 25 tricep dips
Low Max step combo 5, 150 walking lunges, 20 tricep dips, 16 push ups, 50 abs (those evil ones where you lie on your side and lift your legs up on an angle)
Low Max step combo 6, 150 walking lunges
Low Max step combo 7 and intensity blast, cooldown & stretch
(Muscle max) 2x12 push ups, 15 tricep dips, 12 dumbell tricep presses, 12 chest flys, 5 min ab hits, stretch abs
I feel invigorated and sleepy.

My IMAX 3 dvd is cracked, don't have any idea how that happened. I'mg going to have to contact customer service on Monday. I subbed in the Hardcore Extreme's second workout and did the squat thrusts in the end, 5 at a time with a couple minutes rest in between. Couldn't do those one after the other.

Looking forward to a nice relaxing stretch tomorrow.

We're all doing good!

I am on day 5. I did the 400 walking lunges, 200 jj, etc today! I'll bet my rear will be sore tomorrow! I love those lunges! }(
Today's workout is a great one to print out and take with me on trips! I am going to do that!

Tomorrow....IMax3 and the squat thrust thingies!

Linda

Today imax3 (I burned more cal with imax 1 than 3 than 2)-I also did the squat thrust's-100 squats with 37lbs -100 piles with 37lbs and 100 deadlifts with 10 pounds(need to up that one)I finished with 100 crunches.Tomorrow no rest for me(I personally rarely take them)it will be a heavy upper mixed with higher reps to.I originally had planned on doing hc upper all but yesterday I pulled out a upper body w/out I hadn't done in awhile and really feel it today so tommorrow I will do the other one in the set utilizing 4-8-16-32-16-8-4 varing counts. That way I can get my heavy reps in , medium and endurance and shock my muscles.

I planned on Imax 3, but I decided to listen to my body and have some fun with Christi Stepping Zone, but I did the 20 Terminators also. My back has been bothering me off and on, so I think it was a day to give it somewhat of a break.
Coremax and Stretchmax tomorrow!

I started with Imax3 and 27 minutes into it I decided I just didn't have enough energy for the blasts so I decided to do Imax2 instead. I did all of Imax2 with plenty of energy left over...go figure. I finished off with some pitiful looking Terminator squat thrusts (I ran the bootcamp DVD section twice and it seemed to come out to about 20). Ah, but I did it! :)
