Are you related to anyone famous?

I don't mention this often, but since we are among friends.....I used to be related to Walter Mondale. My cousin was briefly married to his nephew. I never got to hang out with them, as they lived in Alaska and me in Calforinia. Oh well. It was years later when I had heard of the divorce and by then it didn't matter because Mondale was out of the news.
But my friend, Laura, is related to sixties sensation, the Cowsills! Sing along with me--"Suddenly the sun broke through (see the sun). I turned around she was gone (where did she go?) and all I had left was one little flower from her hair but I knew (I knew, I knew, I knew) that she had made me happy (happy happy happy)flowers in her hair, flowers everywhere (errre errre). I love the flower girl....etc etc
Try to beat that one!
So,how about the rest of you, who are you related to that we may or may not have heard of????
 
My maiden name is "Magallanes" and I'm related to Ferdinand Magellan. His real last name was Magallanes. See link below. :)

Also, check this out. My uncle (dad's brother) is kind of famous.
As an FBI agent, he had a big hand in bringing down President Nixon at Watergate. "He was instrumental in numerous diverse cases such as, the Watergate Burglary where he developed the first source of information which ultimately led to the relinquishing of the Presidency." I'm not *related* to anyone famous, but I did go to high school with Paige Davis (formerly of Trading Spaces).

OK, that doesn't really count...but it's kind of fun...

Was she *outstandingly* cheerful in high school? Was it mildly irritating in person, but so cheerful you couldn't get mad?

I'm not related to anyone famous, but my maiden name (Schlatter) must mean I'm related to an inventor of Aspartame and Osgood-Schlatter's knee.

I plan on becoming President of the United States, so everyone I'm related to now will be able to say they're related to ME... LOL:9
 
My great friend went to high school with Snoop Dog (Calvin something). He said that he was quiet and never got into trouble. Go figure. :+

She was cute and vivacious, but not excessively so. It was a performing arts high school, so there was actually a lot of "vivacious" roaming the halls! It's really neat that she has had such success -- I'd have loved to see her in Chicago on Broadway!

I like Paige Davis too!!! TS is not the same without her. Why did she leave???? I never did hear. What was she like?

Amy! I had Osgood-Schlatter knee problems as a kid. My knee still bothers me sometimes.
 
I am not related to any one famous but I AM oing into business with our own famous Angie so..

My husband is distantly related to the actor Keenan Wynne. Any one know him, bearded guy, character actor?

To top that off, Frank and Jesse James once holed up in my great-great or great-great-great grandfather's barn in Missouri but as far as I know they weren't related which is good. Who wants to be related to criminals?

No Famous family here ,but I do live near Harrison Ford And see him on occasion !!! Also I Met president Ford when I was a kid LOL. Oh we once saw Danni Devito at a little resturant in the mountains . I let my son (9yrs then) go say hi they shook hands and he stood up my 9 yr old was taller LOL . I also saw Bo Derick many years ago . I live where the stars hide out on occasion !! .:) :) :)
 
Hi there...long time lurker here. :)

I had to post, because I was related to someone famous and it makes me laugh. My husband's father married Lionel Richie's mother-in-law about 6 years ago. It would be my husband's stepsister that was married to him (they divorced last year). I met him once at the in-laws wedding. They lead such a different life that it's almost unbelievable. She was in the news not too long ago with the doctor practicing illegal plastic surgery/botox in CA. Totally freaked me out seeing her on Celebrity Justice. LOL

Okay, back into lurkdom I go. :D I think it's funny (we're small town Midwestern and sooooooo far from fancy livin') so I had to share. :D :D

I am distantly related to Steve Ballmer of Microsoft fame....

My SO went to high school with that guy (Riche Sambora, I think) who is married to Heather Locklear.

my great aunt's nephew's half brother's dog used to hang out with Jerry Seinfeld's dog. They shared a hydrant together until the half brother's dog decided to move onto different sniffing holes. Fame is so short lived, you know??? :p




to really answer your question - nope, I don't think there's a single famous person I know....except maybe Angie....oh & Shelley - that Target picture is gonna go for millions, I tell ya.
