Are you more defined on one side?

I've noticed this lately since my 10 lb weight gain--it's so strange--when I look at my profile from the left my abs, & everything else for that matter, look much more defined than from the right. I guess I must be more muscular on the left than the right, b/c I'm reasonably certain I'm not fatter on my right than my left.

Is it just me? Is anyone else, ummm, unbalanced? ;)

Count me in on the unbalanced! Plus I could swear that my tiny bit of recent weight loss only came off the right half of my abs. But then my left rear end is smaller than the right and the right arm is more muscular than the left (which there makes sense since I'm right handed) I'm just totally messed up! lol

Let's not look at it as messed up. Let's consider it unique & human, shall we? :p

I try to avoid looking at myself in the mirror at all costs, so I have no idea if I'm unbalanced or not. Well, wait. I'm definitely unbalanced, but I don't know if my muscles are:p

I am bigger on the right but not necessarily more defined. My right arm and leg are noticeably (to me) bigger, and especially the leg I notice when trying on jeans that are fitted. I never wear tight but have to be careful on fitted ones or the right leg of the pants will be tight. It really irks me to be honest. Then my left side of my abs stick out more b/c of childbirth, apparently - like a very small hernia but I'm the only person who notices it. My doctor saw it when I pointed it out and checked to be sure that is all it was. What can you do??? Darn kid - just kidding!

me too!

My right side of my body (both upper and lower) is slightly larger than my left. I am also right hand dominant so could understand the UB portion being more developed, but as MEOWRACER describes, I too have had the situation when trying on pants and stuff feeling like they were too small on one side. I thought it was because I have had 2 knee surgeries on my right knee that was knocking off my LB proportions because I was somehow compensating or favoring it... but apparently it's not just me! :)

I am not deformed, but as LauraMax put it: unique... ;)

Well, my muscles are balanced but one breast is heading south faster than the other - does that count? :D

Maybe TMI here, but I have one boob bigger than the other. Hard to tell though since I'm so small chested anyway. Maybe not exactly what you're talking about though

count me in the Picasso club of body image

I always thought that maybe he really was painting the real thing and people just didn't believe him and were darn fools for it.

My bones are different from one side to the other. Right foot is bigger. Right hand/fingers slightly curved. Rib cage not the same from side to side. And hip bones not the same at all.

Well, I figure if my right leg can be a half inch longer than my left (which it is), and my right boob can be bigger than the left one, then I can have more defined muscles on one side than the other. I've never noticed, but now your post will probably prompt me to look, giving me one more thing to obsess about. ;) Oh, my eyebrows don't match either. One is higher than the other. Also, my right eyelid is puffier than the left, which bugs me to no end. I need to stop before I start feeling totally assymetrical. Then again, there's the whole Japanese concept of Wabi Sabi, which I believe is defined as beauty found in imperfection. Yep, got a lot of Wabi Sabi goin' on here! :p

Oh I have the same eye thing going on too! My right is like a millimeter higher, no one notices but me, & it arches slightly more. And the right eyelid is slightly droopier than the other, so betw. the arched brow & droopy lid I feel like I'm always half winking!

I'm sorry TexasMama, I didn't mean to give you something else to obsess over. :D

Probably TMI- but boobs. Waaaaaay different. I kinda have a complex about it, I think everyone notices, but they probably don't. Makes bra shopping a pain. I've seriously considered surgery, but I don't have the extra $$$ Maybe someday. Otherwise, my left ribcage sticks out more than my right (its also the big boob side) and my 1st fingers on both hands turn slightly inward. My right bicep is also a bit bigger than my left, but the left is stronger. I'm just a mutant!:D:D:D

Lol, I'm glad it's not just me. I have one "hoochie" boob and another normal one. I've wondered about surgery too, but it's such a small difference and I'm the only one who notices, so I live with unbalanced boobies. ;) Just what you all wanted to know huh???

I am more defined on my right side too... shoulder, arm, and abs.

What's weird is that I'm a lefty and my left side is stronger but less defined.

For those of you who are defined more on side, what is your dominant hand?

Liann and others - how funny. I forgot about that one. I am a 34A on a good day, but the right one comes much closer to that goal than the left one and it really irritates me!

I haven't noticed any difference in definition between my two sides, but I definitely have the uneven boob thing (right), and one foot is bigger than the other (left). The left side of my upper body is stronger (I'm left handed), but the right side of my lower body is stronger.

But the weirdest lopsided thing about me is that sunglasses are always crooked on me...I'm not sure if it's that one ear is higher than the other, or one side of my nose, or what, but sunglasses always look lopsided on me!

Hmmm...I just looked in the mirror, and I think my right ear might in fact be lower than my left.

Oh yeah, forgot about that too. I cannot find sunglasses that sit straight on my face...this will soon drive us all nuts
