Anyone out there older w/elephant skin?

The past few years I am starting to get that old droopy type skin that comes with age.

Of course it has been on my stomach when I bend over due to having 3 kids, but what about on the thighs?

Forget the stretching or downward dogs because the skin on my thighs seems to droop and wrinkle, even over the "fluffy" layer of fat that has built up.

So . . . anyone out there figured out a way to tighten it up a bit? Such a bummer to try so hard with eating and exercise and have your skin make you look soooooo old anyway.

I know I'm not in my 20's or 30's anymore, but dang it, I don't want to look like I'm in my 60's or 70's when I'm only 50 !

If there is a way -- I am in!! I noticed the skin on my arms looking wrinkled. I have never had that problem. :(

I don't have an answer, either, but I just wanted to let you know that I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND! I'm 40, and I'm already getting the droops. I fear that it's genetic and I'm just stuck with it, but I'm still hoping somebody can chime in with some suggestions.

Have a great night!

I'm 39 and have noticed that my skin has changed drastically almost overnight! After three kids my stomach is definitely a sharpei puppy, but everything else is starting to look the same way....

Yep, I've got the wrinkles above my elbows when viewed from behind. It sags but doesn't flap...yet. If I could only pull all the skin on my legs upward... Gravity is taking over.

My elephants are elbows & knees....Entire family tree is like that...Is it genetic???

I see it starting on lower arms & thighs - I think thats years of sun tanning...Any SUPER DUPER mosisturizing + Firming lotions out there?

I think it is genetic. I'm getting the stuff over the knees now too, my mom has it, my sis has it, my cousins have it. :(

Getting old sucks!

Yep...I notice it too:mad:

I'll be 48 in a couple months and my skin has steadily lost elasticity even though I've taken good care of it. It sucks in the summer when the sunlight hits you just right and makes the slackened skin look 10 times worse with all the shadows. UGH!

I'm 52 and noticing it too! ICK!

I figured mine was from years of suntanning when I was younger. It's probably also genetic.

My worst areas seem to be the fronts of my thighs when I do planks (UGGHH) and I'm starting to see it on the fronts of my arms. It's just certain positions and angles, but I know it's only going to get worse. It's my pet peeve. I wish there was a solution.

I'm 43 and see it too - it's definitely genetics. Didn't Demi Moore have something done to reduce wrinking around her knees? I think the only solution is a skin tuck sadly.

LOL! Me too!!! Glad I'm not alone.... :)

I just try to stay positive about the things I do like about my body. That I'm fit, strong, and healthy. Plus it doesn't bother DH, so why should I give power to something that doesn't matter too much in the long run? That said, there are those days when it's hard to remember to think that way! :)

I'm not too worried about elephant skin because I seem to be pretty much turning into an elephant anyway (big, slow, eating way too many peanuts). As an elephant I shouldn't be surprised if I develop elephant skin ... I mean, what other kind of skin would an elephant have?
