}( Is anyone going to see who is behind the Darth Vader mask? Of course fans already know! I know I will not be there at midnight on Thursday.

Yes!!! I am going with my 24 year old son and some friends on friday! I can't wait. My son called and invited me and had already purchased the tickets. Very sweet of him :)

:( My 20-year-old son is going also. I have to work Friday and am usually in bed by 9. I am afraid I am the one who got him into the whole Star Wars thing. Now I've gotten my daughter into it. I pity the poor people who haven't a clue what the story is about. It really is interesting when the whole story is known. George Lucas is such a mastermind!

I'm going to watch it on my birthday next Wednesday. I've seen all of the others on my birthday, so I absolutely have to watch this one then, too. :)

I'm going with my husband Friday night. He already bought the tickets. He just took the two boys out to dinner since I was with my daughter at a b-day party and he drove by the theater at 6P and there was a line wrapped around the building for the midnight show! Oh my! Those Star War people are as nutty as us! I mean that in the best way possible!:)

I've seen all the movies, but it's been so long. I hope I won't be too lost!

I'll go eventually, because it's just one of those movies that HAS to be seen on the big screen, but I'm not very hopeful. I didn't much enjoy Episode 1, and Episode 2 was awful, IMHO. This one LOOKS okay from the previews, but I heard an interview with George Lucas and he compared it to Titanic! TITANIC, for crying out loud! I don't want to go and weep. I want to go and see Darth be evil and kick some a$$}(

I am going tomorrow night with two of our closest friend couples! I don't think anyone is as into it as me and my friend's husband, though. We well be yelling at everyone talking in the theater!

This has to be better than Clones, they hired someone else to do the dialogue, thank goodness!!!! I was scrunching my face during that one and Phantom Menace. You have such wonderful actors: Liam Neeson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan Macgregor, and Natalie Portman. C'mon guys, use their talent! I am really looking forward to tomorrow, anyways. I hear it is really dark! You won't be disappointed, Shelley! But how could it be compared to Titanic??? Was he referring to the love story between Padme and Anakin??

I read that it's very dark and violent. I also read that Steven Spielberg cried at the end when he saw it, so it must be a tearjerker.

The thing that bothers me is the PG-13 rating. Well, not the rating, but the graphic violence and disturbing storyline. George Lucas defended the graphic violence saying that it's his story and he has the right to make it anyway he wants. That's fine with me, but so much is marketed for kids under 13 - action figures, toys, food, clothes, etc.

I think Lucas rated it as PG-13 because of Anakin's change from a good boy to the evil, powerful Dark Lord Vader. That's the only thing I can think of.

Well, everyone. If you have a choice, go see it on a digital projector. It will be well worth it as the entire film was shot in digital and not on film...

DH already bought the tickets. The great thing about Star Wars is how it has crossed generational lines. DD and her husband and granddaughter, SIL's brother and his wife and me and DH are going together to a matinee this Saturday. We're all so excited.

How old is your granddaughter Candi?? DH and I aren't taking our son (6) and he has seen all the Star Wars. There is some violence against children in this movie so that is what we based our decision on. We really don't want him desencitised in that way. I just thought that you would want to know in case you already didn't....

Missy

Thanks for asking, Missy.

Hailie is 9 and is crazy about Star Wars. DH informed DD about the violence factor and she said she thought GD would be okay. This really surprised me because DD and SIL are so protective of her but she said if it started bother her, they'd just walk out. We'll see.

Well I think everyone knows who's behind the Darth Vader mask. If you saw The Empire Strikes Back, you know that one. And if you didn't, then you wouldn't be interested in these movies anyway.

Of course I'm going to see it. But I'm not one who cares about being first in line. We'll probably hit a matinee when it's less crowded.

Shelly - you liked Episode 1 better than 2? I definitely thought 2 was better.

I hope it's better than Titanic, because I thought that was kind of lame.

Hi saw it today. I think I told you guys it was our work outing. It was fun. Wouldn't say it was horribly dark or a tear jerker. Of course we know the plot from the others but still entertaining. Only one part I didn't like (a short thing with kids) I won't ruin it for you not gruesome but you get the point.

I haven't read reviews on it yet. I should now

I saw it at midnight yesterday. I thought it was incredible, esp. the visual effects and sound. I don't think of Lucas as an actors' director, but he is a guru when it comes special effects. I saw the original Star Wars - ANH - when I was just nine years old, have seen all the rest and have enjoyed parts of all. I had to see this one too. It is not at all gory, it is dark (of course it had to be) and sad, in that you still kinda hope Annikin will make the right choice, eventhough you know he won't. In short I thought it was a great movie (but not at all like Titanic)

I saw it yesterday and I enjoied the film a lot. The battle agains Anakin and Obi Wan is incredible.
