Anyone going to see Revenge of the Sith????

I took four teens to this movie on Thursday afternoon (Starting at 5:30) (We won free tickets...those are the best kind.) I enjoyed the movie...except for the little BRATS that people brought to this movie. What is wrong with some people!?!?! The movie is rated PG 13 for a reason. The family sitting in front of us had two small children (I'd guess the ages to be about 5 and 3.) The youngest was talking and walking down the aisle and there was another child yelling and screaming. People, if you can't get a babysitter, wait until it comes out on video. Also,I just don't think that some of the scenes were appropriate for children under 10. Even my 9 year-old would have been scared. Ok, this has turned into a rant. Sorry about that. I RARELY go to the movie theatre, but my 16 year-old would have "died" if we couldn't go on opening day.

Hi Shirley,

My son is 9 and there is no way I could have waited until this movie came out on video. He was way too excited and knows everything about Star Wars...he was counting the days until it came out. :)

But, he's a good boy and very well behaved. You wouldn't have heard a peep out of him. He even whispers at the movies when he has a question so he doesn't bother anyone.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience though. :(

My GD is 9 and she did fine also. DD brought her to the ladies room a couple of times to potty but other than that, she sat there and was very well behaved.

There were six little ones in front of us ranging from about 4 to 10 and they were angels. Didn't hear a peep out of them even when Mom got up to go to the ladies room.

Whether or not this film was appropriate or not appropriate for children of a certain age is subjective. When my daughter grew up, there were no ratings so I had to make those decisions on my own. I guess I'm still old school in that regard. It was gruesome in some scenes but not any more gruesome than some of the cartoons on the Cartoon Network, IMHO. :)

P.S. Shirely, sounds like the parents in your situation are the problem. Children only know what they are taught. Doesn't sound like these parents were responsible at all.x(

Well, I would think a child under 5 wouldn't really sit for that kind of movie anyway. I know that my 9 yo would sit still and be quiet, and I also know that a couple of scenes (face melting and anakin burning) would have scared her. She isn't exposed to many violent type of movies so that would explain why she would be scared.
