Anyone Else Excited for LOST Tonight?

Who is Josh??

I enjoyed last nights episode! They sure have a way of making you wonder "What the heck?"

Did anyone watch the premiere of "The Nine" last night? I actually enjoyed it...or was it Scott Wolf that kept my attention? Maybe it was Tim Daily (is that his name? Guy from Wings)

I only caught the last half, but I am so curious---how/why do you think "the others" have all of the information about Jack? It's as if Jack had notes taken about his life so that's creepy.

For awhile we were led to think that the plane crash happened by accident when that one guy left his duties at the computer, but now it appears as if the others may have expected the plane to crash.

I sometimes wonder if the writers even know or have an idea of what will happen, because I heard that the main leader of "the others" was originally casted for only a small guest appearance and then they decided to write more of a story-line for him, and since his role seems so pivotal it makes me think that the writers are just making it up as they go. Do you think that's the case? I hope not. I guess it doesn't matter how they do it, but I wonder if we will be able to detect where they were leading in one direction with the story and then changed their minds.

I have actually never seen this tv show before-we always wait til shows are done being filmed then get them thru netflix. This was recommended to us because we like prison break,24,alias,and shows like that.
How does it compare to those? Is it creepy at all?we love action but not creepy action...
thanks!

Really? Would you be willing to share what happened? Hope it won't be a spoiler for others since it already aired. I started watching at the point where Jack made a break for it, and Freckles just returned in the dress.

Thanks!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IF YOU READ BEYOND THIS POINT, YOU WILL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED ON LOST LAST NIGHT!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

At the start, Juliette (blonde "other" trying to feed Jack and the one who zaps Sawyer with a stun dart.) is hosting a book club meeting at her home...none of the people look familiar (I actually thought the channel got changed and I was watching the wrong show). Anyway, mid book club meeting, there is and earthquake type situation. Everyone runs outside, neighbors do the same, one of the neighbors is the head "Other"...aka "Henry". They look up in the sky, see a low flying plane, watch it tear into two and the tail end lands on the other side of the island. Henry says "Did you see where the tail landed?" Then he starts barking orders "Ethan, your one of them, I want a list in 3 days (or something to that extent)" and he continues a few more orders that makes it appear like the plane crash was as new to them as it was anyone else. Camera zooms out and you see a small housing development where all the others reside in the middle of the huge, gigantic jungle of an island.

Flash backs were all of Jack and Sarah as they proceed with the divorce. She is seeing someone else and he wants to know his name. He starts to think it is his Dad but learns later that it is not his Dad.

For those of you who missed all or part of last night's Lost you can watch the entire episode at www.abc.com. That's how I caught last night's episode this morning. Just a head's up.:)

Sara--thank you so much for the re-cap! I was going to go to the abc.com website, but my dial-up connection lacks the speed to play videos without freezing up. So I greatly appreciate your help with my Lost fix.

I know that they've changed their ideas about characters along the way, adapting them to suit actors they want, etc. I think like all shows they must have a 'bible' that gives the general outline of where the show is going, but sometimes with "Lost," I have a feeling they're making things up as they go along much more than other shows do.

Has the woman that was talking with Jack been in any other episode (as a background character?), or does she just look familiar from other shows I've seen her in?

What's in a name?

I've been thinking of what the name Lost means. I truly think Lost means "Lost souls." The "others" must have the lives of each of the lost souls. Why else would they have Jack's entire life nicely bound in a book????

Thoughts, comments?

RE: What's in a name?

Hmmm...that's an interesting thought, and it makes sense. Afterall, how could they survive that plane crash? So your idea of lost souls sounds like a plausible idea to me. Then again, it is a television show, and they keep changing it up so who the heck knows?

Hmm...That could explain why it was so important to Henry/Ben to get those two men to the crash sites and get a list of the passengers. Otherwise, why would anyone care who was on the plane?

She was in ER for a while and I think she did a couple of movies, not really sure what other shows she was in. She was Mrs. Claus in Santa Claus 2, but she was super bony and looked completely anorexic - I am so happy to see that she has put on a little weight on Lost! :)
