Any Black Friday Shoppers out there?

Well I generally dislike people....and I realllly dislike when these same people are in my way....and I love to kickbox and throw punches....So no...I"m not allowed out on Black Friday......... :p  Heehee

Nope! I can't stand people in large crowds. And I will not fight you for a Barbie doll or whatever, its just not that important to me. Besides, it is Christmas Tree Day. Gotta get hubby up so I can get to the tree farm before someone cuts down my tree!! I WILL box you for my tree, don't steal my tree:p Jab, cross, hook, upper, saw, saw, saw. Hook, punch, saw, saw. Bundle and run!!! Don't steal my tree, man!!!! :p:p:p

Oh, goodness, and I did I mention the traffic by the mall. I CAN'T stand traffic. If the cops wouldn't direct and let the lights do their business, it wouldn't be jacked up.

Ok, off to another thread......

Absolutely not!
In fact, I was planning out my schedule for next week, and when I realised I'd scheduled a trip to the mall on Black Friday, I quickly moved it to another day!

Hate crowds.
Don't really need any more 'stuff'.
Will stay far away from any mall!

I've never been a black Friday shopper BUT I'm slightly tempted to venture out this year to Christmas shop for the ones I love if the sales seem extra good. I just don't know. I imagine I would start out all happy and end up feeling a little scroogy. I don't like the crowds and the mentality that can be evident on black Friday shopping. My sister lives in Romania and wants to be in America for Thanksgiving/Christmas one year and she would love to do black Friday shopping for the experience and doing it with her would be fun. We would be goofy and enjoy ourselves, roll the windows down and sing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs to rude drivers...LOL!

I love online shopping most of all! And I've never been out on Black Friday. I'm like alot of you, HATE crowds, HATE standing in lines (oh I get so panicky/anxious having to stand in a long line!). And I can't imagine getting up at the crackbutt of dawn, on little sleep, to do any of it!

My DH has in the past, gone out for certain deals (mostly toys for the kids).

Never me.

How interesting. I would have thought that people planning to shop on Black Friday would be attracted to posting here, yet most are people saying no. So, who are all those masses of crazies out on Black Friday? I guess none of them like Cathe?

I love to shop, but since becoming a SAHM, I've discovered the luxury of weekday shopping (no crowds, good customer service). I can't even handle a regular Saturday at the mall anymore (so spoiled). No way I'm going out on Black Friday.

Good heavens no! I used to go every year (a long time ago) with my Mom, cousin and a few friends - that's back when the sales really were SALES and it was fun! Then, my Mom moved to Florida and I went with a good friend of mine. She shopped and I went for fun with her and to help her carry! We'd be done by about 11 a.m. With my Mom and cousin, we didn't quit until it was time for Mass at 5:00 p.m.!!!

The last time I went had to be in 1999 or 2000. I wouldn't go now if I could buy stuff for a penny! It's viscious, people get hurt or killed and the prices are lousy! There are no real sales anymore. Mostly, it's because of all the meanness out there theses days. I don't like it. It's supposed to be the season of giving and compassion, and joy! NOT!

Black Friday shopping? BAH HUMBUG!

Yeah, kind of funny isn't it? I ask who is going out on Black Friday and all I get is who isn't! ;)

Well, actually, it was a "yes" or "no" question; there were just more answers of "no." ;)

Lol, I guess you could read it that way. I just wasn't thinking that way when I wrote it. I'm actually surprised we don't have more braving the crowds. Maybe the Cathe crowd is just too sensible for the craziness? ;) Dh has already told me he specifically wants to go out, so I'm screwed.

This will be my first time out on Black Friday. I have a crazy friend who is taking me by the hand and doing all the driving etc... so I am basically just following her. She is done with all of her shopping for this year and is preping now for next year! I haven't even started so she is going to help me since I hate shopping. I hope to get all done in one day! God help me since I am dreading this terribly.

Sweetie, you need to use that condition a little more! "Aw, honey, as much as I'd LOVE to get up at this ungodly hour and be squished by hundreds of strangers, I'm feeling a bit queasy this morning. Could you go without me? Oh, and bring me a mug of hot chocolate and a croissant before you go; they're the only things that seem to settle my stomach. Yeah, crazy isn't it????":D:cool:

We don't do holiday gifts in my family, and there's nothing I need that badly, but if I had time I would be enjoying the amazing sales these days. I don't think it's just Black Friday this year; there are amazing sales going on this weekend too. (And yup, it was a "yes" or "no" question).

nancy your sig line says it all. i just know where and when to shop so while others are going about their day i was finishing shopping for my daughter last month. aside from a few small items i am practically done with her and barely broke $300 total cost.

my local ollie's is having a customer ollie's army night in 2 weeks so i can get small toys for my nieces and nephews but if i don't find anything oh well b/c ross and tj maxx are right next door. i used to do black friday but when these stores hit the area it just made life easier to not fight crowds and lines(not to mention the rude ppl that show up at these things) and i get practically the same savings without the hassle.

but i see for places like best buy etc where ppl can get a steal but i can't afford nor do i need anything with the sales. seems every year its a good deal if you got the credit/money and can commit to that. i just can't so i will be skipping these places as well.

I hate shopping, traffic and large crowds but I love Black Friday... there is just nothing like the excitement of it. It definitely puts me in the Santa Clasus spirit. For those of you who are going for your first time, I hope you enjoy it!
