+5 lbs in 2 days!!

Confession time!

I am proof it is possible to put on 5 lbs in 2 days!! :confused:
Sat night I ate a few to many pieces of cornbread - love the stuff. So there was 1 1/2 lbs. No big deal I thought, probably alot of sodium there with those icky carbs. Sunday I went with DH to a Celebration of Life banquet to honor those who have donated their organs. (FIL passed away a yr ago June & it was up to DH to make the decision to donate - very wonderful event!) They had "Light refreshments & food" Not my idea of light but ok. You should have seen the dessert table!! :eek::eek::eek: Me having the awful sweet tooth I have & apparently no self control yesterday went WAY over board. :eek: I was a piggy!! I thought for sure I would have the sugar shakes walking out of there. Dreadfully got on the scale this morning knowing it wouldn't be pretty & there it was - up another 3 1/2 lbs!!!! :mad: Not beating myself up over it, I know it will come off. Today starts "Damage Control" ;)
 
Well, the good news is that it's probably water retention and will come off just as fast.
I never get on the scale after a splurge...or two:eek:
 
Just keep in mind that it takes 3500 extra calories to make a pound ...The rest is just bloat.... When I "get back on track" I take the first 72 hour drop in scale of proof positive that I didnt really gain all that in true body weight - I just had scale weight!;)

So for my body after 72hours of eating clean is really my "start" weight.

No frets no worries, right? Sometimes those goodie tables & breads are just too tempting to resist! Onward!!
 
Don't feel rained on, I gain about 3-5 lbs every weekend....watchin' college football. Just can't watch football w/o a few beers, especially with friends. I figure (no pun intended)- I work out hard January through August, I can rest, relax some during college football season. What really does me in is College Bowl Week!
 
Don't worry. I gain 6-7 pounds within 1 day. I love to eat too much, it's too hard to stop.
 
Yeppers - do it here too !

That's when I hit the "clean eating" with a vengence and down the beautiful
H20 as much as I can handle it. Course also throw in some extra running or other cardio to Jump Start ! :D

Drives me crazy, but I'll never stop living it up here and there ! :eek:
 
If I don't watch what I eat I will blow up too. I've been having "issues" with food lately so I am currently up 4 pounds. I do good for a couple days and just when the scale starts to come back down I break down and eat too much crap again. UGH! I really need to get a grip before it ends being real weight gain instead of just bloat!:eek:

I'm 24 hoursin of that 72 hours I was told off. Down 1 1/2 lbs. Hoping for more but better than nothing!! I still feel that :confused: in my gut. Like a ball of ick - know what I mean? Patience & more effort in my KPC this morning. :D
 
Awh, that sucks. The goods news is it's NOT fat so you will lose it soon if you stay focused. Watch your sodium intake, drink lots of water. You'll be back down before you know it.
