4 Day Split: Dumb Question

Has anyone figured out how to do just the weight work in 4DS? I have tried and been unsuccessful. The premixes don't seem to offer it as an option, and even the chaptering is confusing. I tried the "weights first" options, but they still included some cardio between the weight work. The WOs take me twice as long as they should because I spend so much time trying to figure out what my next exercise is. I just want to spend 20-30 minutes 4x per week doing weight work. Period. I don't do any Cathe cardio at all. Any tips? TIA.

Hopefully, I understood what you are looking for...

I'm sure there is a way to select each body part but I'm not at home to test it out.

I think there are a couple of options in the premixes for doing just the
weight work.

LIS & HIS disc:
3 Premixes:
-All Uppper Body Weights ...not sure how long or what order
-Back & Biceps ... about 30 min.
-Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps...about 30 min

Kickbox & Boot Camp disc:
2 Premixes:
-Lower Body... about 30 min.
-Total Body...not sure how long but it is long!

Also, I can't recall if in those premixes if you do, say, the Back work first and then go on to Biceps, or if it's mixed and you alternate. :confused:

Nancy if you select the weights first premix on those workouts it will do a cardio warm up and then go directly to the weights. It will complete the wt section in it's entirety before moving on to the cardio at which point you could just stop the dvd. If you don't want to do the warm up you could just ff thru it ;) HTH

Catherine, I was expecting it to work like that, but on at least one of them, some cardio came in before the weight work finished. Can't remember which one now. Guess I'm the only one having this silly problem. I'm just so strapped for time these days!

Nancy, there are several premixes. You want the one that says weights first. I just looked through those and they all do a brief cardio warmup and go straight to the weights. Then finish with the cardio. There are also circuit premixes. Those are the ones that intermingle the wts and cardio.

Another solution for you is to simply go to the chapter menu and click on the first weight work chapter and press play.

Total Body Premix

I was just using my 4DS disks today. There's a premix called Total Body Weights. It's lengthy - 97 minutes total I think. There is no warm up, cool down, or stretch, just all the weight work. I believe it's on the disk with Kickbox and Bootcamp. HTH!
