2 New KCM workouts...

Stacy

Cathlete
I received both of her latest workouts in the mail yesterday and previewed them. They both look great.

I really like having another heavier weight workout to use which is what Muscle Up provides. She uses heavier weights and goes at a slower pace, ie. for alternating overhead shoulder presses she uses 20 lb dumbbells. For her squats and other leg work, it looks like she is using least 30 lb dumbbells. The weight workout is done superset style, pairing 2 exercises for usually 3 sets of 8 each, some she uses 2 sets. The workout has many premixes to pair up the body parts you like. The first workout is chest, back, shoulders. If I remember correctly she pairs up some shoulder work with some ab work (??). The 2nd 30 minute workout is biceps, triceps and legs. (I think, going from memory, I previewed them yesterday, sorry!) Both dvds contain an additional separate ab routine and both had a few moves I had never seen before.

The Home Gym Intervals looks really fun. She spends about 1 1/2 minute on the equipment, she says you can also do jumping jacks instead and then about a minute of weight work in between. She uses heavier weights here but not as heavy as the Muscle Up. This workout moves a bit faster. I havent done it yet, but I think most exercises I'd be able to start with 8's and alot of moves I'd definitely could go even heavier.

From the previews, I'm glad I purchased both of these. I really like Kelly but to me some of her latest releases havent astounded me, but these look really good!

H,

Got mine yesterday too and looked at both, not the full workouts though. They do look great!

I plan to do one of them today, not sure which yet. Since they both have weights, it's hard to use them both on consecutive days...not sure how to fit them in a rotation at the moment.

Finally, 2 30 minute heavy weight workouts! Can't wait to get started on it

I'm also looking forward to the new KCM, but the upper body parts from MIS and PH are about 38 min. I did the upper parts and abs from MIS this morning and went heavy. I thought it was good and I'm a bit tremble-y.

Was wondering if all of "30 Min. To Fitness series worth getting. I think I counted 12 DVD's? Would also like to have short heavy lifting workouts. Is there a book on how to use them? Rotations...?

Janie

J2--Kelly has some rotations on her website (coffeyfit.com) plus workout worksheets that will give you a preview of the exercises. She also has good clips so you can preview the workouts.

Like Cathe, she is excellent w/premixes, so most of the DVDs give you multiple options. She puts a different spin on traditional exercises, so they nicely compliment Cathe's strength work. I'm very picky about instructors/workouts, and I've liked Kelly's stuff so much I have most of her workouts.

I tried sooooooo hard to register! Once I figured it out I don't see a return message about unlocking Coffee's page. So frustrating. I'd like to order, I think, but this is very hard to get to her page to do just that. Did anyone else have this problem?

Frustrated,

Janie

PS I finally went to my junk stack and found it there. Geesh! I think I'm good now.

Nope, still can't get in. It says my email or password is wrong. I give up!

Jainie,

Not all are heavy weights...some are kickbox, some strictly cardio etc. Like the OP said, you should view them...strange that you can't get on....the link above takes you to the home page, and if you go to "Coffey fit Products dropdown" and DVD's that is where the descriptions, clips and button to purchase are...

Hope you are able to get in.

She is planning something else using college athletes

I got this from Facebook:

"It's that time of year again when spring sports is coming to a close and parents are trying to figure out how to keep their athletes in shape during their off-season.
I am happy to announcethat I have the answer...for all athletes between the ages of 13 and college age, I am filming workouts that will make you faster and fitter during your off season with the use of one DVD!
There are 2, 30 minute workouts. Workout One is a conditioning workout comprised of proven drills that will increase speed and mobility in a smaller space in your own home. Workout Two is an Athletic Stretch workout that will increase flexibility which results in increased speed and decreased injury rate. Both are led by well-conditioned and experienced college age athletes that will keep you engaged and dedicated to being in shape during your off-season.
Parents, now you can save some money on training with these thoroughly researched and well-designed programs that will inspire your kids to work hard!
Never before has such a program been offered...stay tuned for more details..."

Interesting, but doesn't sound like something I would want for myself. Not sure why she always posts on FB...when she has her own site with all her fans on there....

I just did Home Gym Intervals and LOVED IT!!! I did the premix with both workouts (55 min) and then did the standing Waist segment, I really liked that too! This was my first workout after a fe weeks hiatus and it was a good way to ease back into things, it's very easy to modify and make as hard or as easy as you want. Next time I'll up the speed on the treadmill and increase the weights. I used 8's for everything, some this was just right, a few I can go up to 10's or 12's.

I see this workout getting alot of use!! :)

Anyone get their presale dvd(s) (Strength-Stamina & ACond2)?
I was really, really wanting to get the Strength & Stamina after seeing her preview but was good & held off for my ICE presale (which I thought would be here by the 11th but oh well, have to wait a bit!). Perhaps during the sales after the 25th though!! Kelly was looking was so limber & really just incredible in the previews!

Don't give up, go to totalfitnessdvds.com and view clips and order through Mary. She has most of these DVDs too.

Hi,

I t realize this was the revival of an older post...the 2 KCM's were previous ones...not the 2 newest...which is what Irongrl were reviewing..

Janiejoey....did you finally get into the KCM site?

Sorry Deb. I did have a thread on the go for the latest series, but it vanished, so I added to this one. Maybe not the smoothest move on my part. ;)
