    STS - Gym ?

STS Gym sounds great! You know I used to do exactly the same thing with your slow and heavy workout. I made an audio tape of it and took the tape to the gym. It worked really well, because I was familiar with the workout from home. >Yes, STS-Gym will be designed for people that workout in a...

    Is it possible?

The answers I have seen to this question are that it is not a good idea to try to lose weight while pregnant. I think you should just do what you are able to do and not worry about it too much.

    Suggestions? - Lower Bosy Split

I would like to see 35-45 minutes of lower body work followed by core and ab work. I think 60 minutes of lower body work is too much. Also, standing work that focuses on the glutes and hamstrings would be great!

    Suggestions? - Upper Body Split

Full Pyramid. 60 minutes. Move core work to Lower body split. I think trying to fit in core work is too much to do in this workout. Alternatively, I think spending 60 minutes on legs is too much leg work, IMHO.

    question on Target Heart rate

kittykat, just thought you might be interested in this: There was a great article in the NY Times about target heart rate. It said that heart rates are more related to genetics than the average heart rate chart. additionally, the sample of people they used to create the chart were not...

    new to videos, Please advise

Actually, I find Circuit Max to be more aerobic than weight focused. I think the circuit tape in the Xpress series is a little more weight focused, but of course that tape only focuses on one body part. Since you're more interested in toning up, I'm incline to say that MIS or Body Max are...

    nutrition software

I used asimba.com for a while, but I found that it had too little in its database. you want to get one that has a big database that is updated frequently. you might also want something that looks at your diet from different angles, such as vitamins and minerals as well as dietary fat and...

    Cardio Kicks Question

Here's a description for a basic side kick. I hope this is coherent: If you are kicking with your right foot. Stand sideways to the target. Turn your heels slightly so they point towards the target. Look at the target. Lift your right knee, keeping your flexed foot tucked toward your butt...

During your walks do you go aerobic? In other words are you breaking a sweat and breathing deeply for at least 20 minutes? Also, what exactly are your goals? Are you just looking to tone up or do you want to increase your endurance?

    question on Target Heart rate

Yeah. I don't really think her heart rate is that high. I think it's just a misscount for a reason like the one you mentioned. That's why I asked how she was feeling at both checks. Her perceived exertion doesn't really match the numbers. I like the idea of doing a test with some equipment at...

    old video workout crew

You know what was interesting about the men in Cardio Kicks is seeing how different they look performing the same moves as the women. They have big arms and chests, so they have to go around them when doing uppercuts and hook punches. They even look different from eachother. Each guy seems to...

    question on Target Heart rate

RE: I agree Yeah, you know I've had a lot of questions about what my actual maximum heart rate is. I'm thinking about asking my doctor for a full stress test or something. My numbers don't match the chart at all. In fact, I set my target range on my monitor based on my perceived exertion and...

    question on Target Heart rate

It sounds to me like you might be working a little too intensely on the interval. I say this mostly because you seem concerned that you might be working too hard and I have a tendency to tell people to go with their gut. Everyone has their own opinion on these things, of course. And obviously...

    question on Target Heart rate

LAST EDITED ON Apr-10-01 AT 04:22PM (Est)[p]I'm curious. What is your perceived exertion when you are at 240 and at 170? In other words, how do you feel --like you are gulping air or do you feel like you could continue for a little while? Also, are you using a heart rate monitor or are these...

    Step Platform that is smaller

I just bought extra risers for my existing step. I find that 4 risers on each side work fine for weight work on my step. I thought about getting a stool from Target, but there weren't any that were right for the job when I went. I think I spent about forty dollars for the extra risers.

    plyo jack modification

I live on the 2nd floor also. I was worried at first about jumping, but I added an area rug on top of the living room rug and then I put the thickest pad I could buy under the area rug. I don't know if this would work for you, but I haven't had any complaints. I've also seen these thick...
