    30 days of oatmeal?

I've found that the riper the banana, the better, and cooking it into the oatmeal as the recipes in the link suggest. It really does a great job of adding natural sweetness. It also makes the oatmeal a bit richer. Chopped dates are a nice touch too (date sugar too - it is just chopped up dried...

Where can I get a Step cushion?

Thanks AtlantaJJ. I bought mine at Sports Chalet 10+ years ago. They went out of business though. Amazon would be your best bet!

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

Me too... but I'm getting better at it. :p You will too... especially if you find other ways to measure your progress.

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

Kristie, I think we just need to follow our energy level, in other words, do the perceived exertion test. Not all bodies work the same, but it doesn't necessarily mean they don't work, or get the job done. ;)

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

You know, I haven't watched it that closely (I did when I had my Polar HRM), but the times that I have, I've been tracking along pretty well. I guess that was my confusion. If I'm working hard, and the # on the monitor says I am, then why don't I hit the met level that is listed in the workout...

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

Thanks. I'll check out the Polar. I'm not actively dieting, more just making sure I stay within range... it is so easy to over do it. I do eat healthy. We normally eat out more than we have lately which keeps my weight in check. Without going out, I've dropped unintentionally. It is more about...

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

Soapmaker - Really good points. Thanks, you are right! I used to have a Polar HRM but they stopped supporting it and when I went to look for another one I wasn't really thrilled with the options. I used to be able to figure my daily nutritional needs exactly (it was really crazy how spot on it...

    30 days of oatmeal?

Around 10 years ago I fell into a blog or something like that that had either 28 or 30 days worth of oatmeal recipes by Sheila. They were awesome, and I used to make them all the time, but have lost most of the recipes. Does anyone by chance have them? She added thinly sliced banana to every...

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

I suspect you’re right. Ultimately my metabolism seems to be working for me so I need to stop looking at the numbers

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

No, sorry, I wasn’t clear. I’m sure they’re higher when I’m working out. I have seen a vascular surgeon for other circulation problems (Raynauds and possible TOS) and he said that he didn’t want to put me on the standard course of treatment since it would drop my blood pressure another 10...

Low Blood Pressure = lower calories burned during workouts? Anybody know?

I have noticed that I have to adjust met levels for every workout I do significantly to match what my HRM says. I am on the low end of normal in terms of blood pressure (106/70, with a pulse that is in the 60s, resting in the 50s), and am wondering if that might be why. I feel completely maxed...

Did you buy the LITE digital downloads or the DVD's?

For those using downloads, how does it work? I've wondered and thought about it, but since I have all but one workout (wedding workout) that Cathe has made, buying downloads for them is just plain too expensive. *sigh* And then of course I'm not quite sure how it works. Anyone want to enlighten me?

Did you buy the LITE digital downloads or the DVD's?

I hadn't thought about the fact that DVD players may not exist, but should have... lived through enough of tech obsolescence already. I think I'll buy another player or 2 too!

Fit Split vs 4 Day Split series

I absolutely love the 4 day split. I used the upper body weights on it when I sprained my ankle, and got a HUGE boost in my upper body muscling. Some of my favorite cardio are both the step routines. They really burn calories in a nice short amount of time. By now you should have them. What do...

    Please Rank These Programs

In case you are still thinking about getting some more workouts: I have tried Jillian's Shred, but found I didn't like her as a trainer (I loved her as a trainer on The Biggest Loser, but don't respond to her military type "encouragement" during workouts.) I also tried Chalene Extreme (I loved...

I've been working on creating sheets for the missing ones, so if it hasn't been done yet, I'd be glad to upload once it's done.

New to STS & want to track progress

Yes, I would put the weights into the Workout Manager. It will create individually tailored workout sheets for you that you can print out like you've been doing with ICE. I can't imagine doing it any other way. It is too hard to come up with all the weight changes. Another recommendation: figure...
