    rock'em sock'em ROCKS

Love this DVD!!! I may regret this tomorrow, but I did the main workout, the blizzard blast, the meltdown triceps, and the abs! My first reaction was love at first sweat, followed quickly by, "wait a minute, I thought these were supposed to be intermediate!" Cathe does not disappoint!

DH started his thru hike of the AT

I love your updates! I would love to do this someday. By any chance did he meet up with Scott Jurek?

    Looking for sports bra recommendations

I'm thinking about trying this Aero bra from Title Nine. Reviews sound good, but it's a lot more than I normally spend. http://www.titlenine.com/product/310704.do?sortby=ourPicks&refType=&from=fn#tabs

    Looking for sports bra recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good bra for moisture-wicking? They all say they do that, but mine always seems to weight about 50 pounds when I peel it off. I do need support (running) but my main issue is sweat management. Thanks!

DH started his thru hike of the AT

What a great opportunity! DH and I have talked about doing this someday, but can't see how we could get away for that kind of time commitment. I wish him well!

Heavy Pyramid similar to BODY BEAST ??

I would love an updated Pyramids set! These were favorites of mine. Hmm, maybe I'll have to pull them out this week...it has been too long since I've done them.

    Interesting Article

It does seem like lowering carbs (especially bread & sugar) helps me a lot. The best nutrition book I've read is by Gary Taubes - Good Calories, Bad Calories. He goes through research over the years, and comes to conclusions very similar to the Paleo diet.

    Any suggestions for 14yo DD?

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I knew you would have good input! I think anyone who spends all day in middle school would benefit from the stress release of kickboxing.

    Any suggestions for 14yo DD?

My daughter wants to start working out with me! She's 14, but not in the best shape. I'm running 3x/week, so I'm doing my Cathes M/W/F first thing in the morning. I'm thinking I should start her with a mix of cardio and strength, focusing on shorter (30-45 min) workouts at first. She's not a big...

10K training with Cathe videos, suggestions?

HazelBlue, I'm new at running too - started last summer, did a 10K in September, and signed up for my first half marathon next month (Yikes!). If you're wanting to ease into it, I highly recommend Jeff Galloway's Run/Walk program (easy to find with a google search). He has you alternate running...

Too Much Off the Beat, Not for Me

I did low impact 1 again this morning, and to be honest I really don't even notice the beat. I'm always off beat anyway, so this is just one less thing to worry about. When I'm doing Hiit or drill-type cardio, I really don't pay much attention to the beat: I'm just trying to do my best. I want...

    Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

I did this one this morning, but did the "abs instead of finishers" premix. (Maybe I'm just trying to avoid pushups...). Somehow I thought there would be abs after each exercise (whenever the regular workout has finishers) but it was actually just at the end of each muscle group. I think next...

HGTV dream house (not completely OT)

I was looking at HGTV's dream house for this year and, while I love the house, my first thought was "where would I work out?" followed quickly by "I wonder if I could store all my weights, etc. in the cabinets on either side of the fireplace." I don't know how I would function without a...

    Back, shoulders and biceps

Love this workout! I think my favorite thing about it is watching Al's facial expressions, especially on the biceps section where you've been doing barbell curls and switch to dumbbells for the finishers. Watch for it next time you do this workout.

SNM-can Staples print the RWH workout guide?

Great idea! Are they still making corrections? I want to wait to have it printed until I'm sure it's in its final form.

    Loved Lower Body Circuit!

I haven't seen much discussion of this one yet. I did it this morning and loved it! Great mix of weighted leg work with Hiit. The weight segments almost felt like rest from the cardio. Nice use of the step to intensify the cardio without complex choreography.

    Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

Yippee! My package arrived yesterday, so I did this one and Low Impact I this morning. Love them both! So far I'm not hurting too badly, so I think I chose the right weights.

    Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

You're scaring me! Mine haven't arrived yet, so I'm experiencing them vicariously at this point. Keep the comments coming!
