    women under fire for workout

I did Spinning classes, all out, right up until 2 days before I had my daughter. I did Cathe weight training all the way through my pregnancy - lightened the weight a bit but didn't have to modify the intensity too much. I just listened to my body and did what it seemed to need. I had a...

Losing 10 kg in a month

Good luck, Cheryl! :D I am 52 and I know what you mean - things really do get harder when you hit 50-ish! I'm basically following Coach Calorie's suggestions (except I do Cathe rather than his recommended workouts) and I'm down about 5 lbs from when I started 18 days ago. It is slow but at...

Losing 10 kg in a month

That is a lot of weight for one month - if you try lose that amount so quickly, you're going to lose muscle and you won't look healthy; in fact, you may actually end up ill. You could also accidentally make your body think it's starving, and your weight loss could completely stop. 5 kg is...

    Beach Blast Guy

Go for it! You'd be great at it. I taught group fitness for 23 years at someone's suggestion and never regretted a second of it. Stebby

Are these recorded anywhere, or were they live-only so if you missed them you can't see them? If they are available can someone please post a link? Thanks, Stebby

    Meal replacements anyone?

Hi - I am doing the Isagenix program and have done it several times since 2008. Although I am feeling a bit ambivalent about it these days (because the shakes are a processed food and I believe I should be sticking more to unprocessed foods) I've had great results from the program. The first...

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - anyone?

I read Outlander and a few of the other books in the series several years ago ... the story never leaves you. Outstanding. Stebby

    protein Powder that isn't disgusting???

My absolute favourite is Isagenix. They have several flavours but I keep going back to Natural Dutch Chocolate. I am conflicted because I am kind of trying to stay away from processed foods, and protein powders are the ultimate processed food, but they are so convenient! Stebby

Training and eating smart - How hormone work ?

Wow, that is interesting. More and more, I have been rethinking my consumption of protein powders ... this is another nail in their coffin for me. Stebby

    Denise Austin must be stopped!

Ha ha, 9-year-old post gets resurrected! I still can't stand Denise Austin. Or Sharon Mann. I will probably see Sharon Mann this weekend at the canfitpro conference (she is there selling her company's music every year) - must check out the boobs. :D Stebby

    Anyone Tried a Cleanse Pill?

Sounds as if you are talking about laxative pills, rather than a cleanse? Emptying your bowels isn't going to make the rest of your body healthier or negate the effects of eating poorly. I agree with NY25 -to "cleanse" your organs (i.e. make them work at their peak), just eat a healthy, well...

Thanks, Nathalie! I have seen that one on the shelves but never bought it. I will try it. Stebby

    Shaun T Focus T25

I think I'm going to pass on these as well. From the previews it looks as if Shaun T. is using basically the same old-school moves he was using in Insanity. Sure, they're effective, but been there, done that. I'm still working away on XTrain and waiting for the new series. :) Stebby

    Upper Arms Too Big

This is a bit painful, but I've gotten the best results cutting out processed sugar and high sugar fruits. No sweets or baked goods, and keep to just 2 servings of fruit daily - should be lower sugar fruits like berries or apples. Also, lots of non-starchy vegetables. No dairy, no alcohol...

    Hard Strikes = foot pain?

I find that my calves tighten up, which causes foot pain for me (feels like the early stages of plantar fasciitis, which I had a couple of years ago). I stretch them really well to try to avoid foot pain but if it strikes, I substitute other moves like NY25. Stebby

CATHE I should have stuck with you...

Cindy, wow. I am 2 weeks from turning 52 and I wish I looked half as good as you looked at my age! Can't wait to see your 60th B'Day photos after 8 months of being back to Cathe! :D Stebby

Healthy foods you just CAN'T stomach

Oh boy. Where do I start? Liver, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, avocados, red peppers, tofu, veggie burgers, mango, stevia, all apples except Granny Smith, lima beans, spinach, sweet potatoes, squash, instant oatmeal, to name a few! However, I love beets, turnip, steamed kale, Brussels sprouts...
