Boot Camp or Body Max 2?

Regina, Here's the rotation: http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=8064&mesg_id=8064&page=3 One thing I will add....if you get to a point (usually in week three or four) where you are totally exhausted, do the timesaver premix versions of the next two...

Pyramids, Gym Styles, or Slow & Heavy?

They're all good, but I'd recommend Gym Styles. For going heavy, S&H can't be beat, but as mentioned already it's a workout you do every now and again for a couple weeks. MuscleGuy

    Who HASN'T ordered STS?

I haven't, and after deliberating about it, I'm not going to. I do have heavy weights at home, and a squat rack, but when lifting heavy, I either use programs from books or follow Gym Styles or Slow & Heavy. I periodize my GS and S&H workouts anyway, so STS would just be a waste of money...

Amy Bento In the Ring Clip

Looks excellent. I pre-ordered it some time ago because I love kickboxing workouts and I have a medicine ball that I don't use enough. Looking at the clip, I'm glad it will soon be on the way! This will be my first Amy Bento workout. She looks pretty no-nonsense! MuscleGuy

    Slow & Heavy

S&H is a cool workout. I'm a big guy, so keeping up with fast moves can be a problem sometimes. But S&H is paced at an ideal heavy weight pace for me. A simple yet effective workout. MuscleGuy

Can you gain muscle mass while on a calorie deficit?

RE: Can you gain muscle mass while on a calorie deficit... >Please help me understand why it’s been said that you can’t >gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. If I am eating at a >calorie deficit and using Gym Styles, does that mean that I >won’t build any muscle? > You may not...

    Will Mesocycles Be Sold Separately?

This is good news for me, as I live in the UK. If I bought every DVD at once, I would be charged a huge amount of Customs charges. Being able to buy the series in parts will be great! MuscleGuy

    Cathe's next cardio series....MMA!!

What other dvds are people using?

As well as Cathe, I workout with: Gilad Kelly Coffey-Meyer I have tried a few others but didn't like them. I've pre-ordered Amy Bento's "In The Ring", but I haven't done an Amy workout before. MuscleGuy

    GS or MM

Another vote for Gym Styles! Although I love Muscle Max too, Gym Styles just edges it for me. It seems a bit more hardcore, and Cathe and crew look fantastic. MuscleGuy

STS - Do you plan to preorder?

Unfortunately, it's a "no" from me. I was excited about this series when I first heard about it, but the shipping cost of 37 DVDs to the UK, plus the hefty customs charge I would be landed with has made up my mind. Plus, even though I have a squat rack, I don't have a leg press or leg...

    MuscleGuy's 5-Week Muscle-Building Rotation

Hi, Susan On the Core Max day, I did one or two segments depending how I felt. My fave Core max segment is the medicine ball segment, because I felt it more in my abs (my med ball weighs 12#). I also like the first segment with no equipment. If you do the rotation, let me know how you...

    MuscleGuy's 5-Week Muscle-Building Rotation

Phew! I've just finished this rotation...and in time for Christmas! Well, it was definitely hard work but I have certainly seen results....muscle gains in my shoulders, back and chest especially. The only drawback of this rotation is that it does take a commitment of an hour or so a day...

Can you lose weight using Cathe?

Don't get lost in the numbers game. What your scales tell you doesn't really mean much when you change your body composition to include more muscle and less fat. Nobody but you knows what the scales say....but everyone will know how much better you look. And that's what Cathe's workouts...

help w/ choosing the right rotation

Hi, You need to do both cardio and weights if your goal is to lose weight and maintain muscle. The cardio needs to be intense and pretty short. I don't know what workouts you have, but Drill Max Cardio Blast premix or Boot Camp Cardio only premix are good choices. Also add in a longer...

How to maintain lean muscle muss but burn fat?

Hey, guys I've done this a few times (lost weight and maintained muscle) and here's my take on it... Cut your calories only very slightly...say 300/day. Eat clean and get plenty of protein every day. Increase your cardio but limit it to short, intense bursts. Interval training or tabata...
