    Thanks Sandra. I will have to pass this info on to my sister she has graves disease. I know she taks calcium/vit d however she hasn't had her levels checked. Lori:cool:

    Is it common for Vit D to be low with Thyroid disease? I just found out about my Vit D being low while having thyroid issues...overactive to underactive and now normal thyroid.

    Thanks everyone!! Sounds like its going to take some time to get my levels back up. I have noticed that the pain has decreased a little. I agree with Hiitdog everyone should get their levels checkd. :D

    I was having pain in my elbows and hands. Dr suggest to check my vit d level and sure enough it was low.

    Hi All, I recently found out that my Vitamin D level was low. Started taking over the counter vit D 1800 daily. Had my level rechecked and it was still low now I am taking prescription Vit D 50,000 units once a week for 2 months. Anyone else here have a low level and how long did it take...
