    STS PYRAMID ROTATION CHALLENGE

Completed Disc 3 legs. I had to modify some of the lunges because of my right hamstring- couldn't go deep on right leg forward lunges and the touchdown lunges in the warmup looked like little pulses on my right leg. Overall a great workout. Off to a cookout with extended family. Enjoy the...

    STS PYRAMID ROTATION CHALLENGE

Thanks Steph!! What really helped me was doing the RKC Rite of Passage. It was amazing how those clean and press ladders helped build my back muscles. After I completed the program I was able to do the pullups unassisted for the first time. I love my kettlebells and always include a couple...

    STS PYRAMID ROTATION CHALLENGE

Hello everyone Today was M1W1D4 MMA Boxing. I haven't done this workout since spring and I was surprised at the calorie burn I got. Those upper and lower body drills must spike the heart rate even though I was having such fun i didn't notice how much I was sweating. I really like the ab...

    Wen hair care

I have been using WEN from QVC for about 2 years. I have thick, wavy hair that used to frizz in the summer. The product is amazing... My hair has never been better. My hair is shoulder length and there are no split ends. I get so many compliments on the sheen and bounce in my hair. I wash it and...

    STS PYRAMID ROTATION CHALLENGE

Hello everyone, I started the pyramid challenge yesterday because my schedule makes it easier to fit weight workouts in on Wed- Fri- Sat. I have done several rounds of STS and have had wonderful results. I am 50 years old, married for 23 years and enjoying my empty nest years. I work as a...

    P90X2 pre-order.....who's caving?

I subscribed to the 1 on 1 with Tony Horton series and this last year all the workouts were a preview of what X2 will be. Boy are they TOUGH. I have been waiting for my notification for pre-order since 1on1 subscribers get some kind of discount for this new series. Not sure if I will actually do...

    18 lb. Dumbbell

Pace weights are wonderful to fine tune DBs for STS. I have 10 of the 0.5lb paceweights that I have used with the 1.5 platemates without a problem. It is a bit of a pane getting that exact weight but the results are soooo worth it!

    STS.... in reverse?

Hello all, I just read the thread and am also very interested in the pyramid.... would you mind if I joined the group? I was going to do another round of STS in September and the pyramid intrigues me.

    "The Help" purchased today

I read ( and loved) the book a couple of weeks ago and I just saw the movie today. I think the movie was very true to the tone of the book. The comedic portions mentioned upthread are in the movie, but are a very small part of the plot. I am almost always disappointed in the movie version of...

How many days a week do you exercise?

Let's see, a typical week for me consists of at least 4 (hour long) cardio sessions and 3 (hour long) heavy weight workouts. I teach Pilates and Yoga so I get the stretching in on those days as well. 2 days a week I do both cardio and weights so I can get a rest day in. Every 5 weeks or so I do...

    4 risers for leg presses

I think you are smart to use whatever gives you the workout you need. In some of the STS leg workouts Cathe and crew use 4 risers for the leg presses, so I wouldn't fret about a few inches!!

    Is Cathe really real?

My 7 year old granddaughter has grown up on Cathe workouts. She knows I finally got in on the Glassboro RT and will be meeting Cathe. She was looking on my facebook and couldn't believe Cathe was there too.... I think it finally dawned on her that Cathe is very accessible and a real person when...

    The perfect ab exercise?

I have done many a Pike on the ball (like a million of fellow Cathletes), but I have never paired it with a rollout. I will be doing a set of this exercise 3 times a week alternating days with a Cathe ab workout between now and the Glassboro RT....... gotta get my abs ready for that weekend...

The meaning of your user name

After raising a family, my husband and I are enjoying the serenity of empty nesting. I was 46 when the last kid left for college, so that year my password and/or username became serene_46 to reflect what was going on in my life.

    Finished my 1st STS Rotation!

Congratulations all!!! The sense of accomplishment on completing STS is so amazing. I had done rotations before (P90x comes to mind) but the strength gains in STS were awesome for me. I was a loyal Cathe fan before STS- but I am a Forever Cathlete now!!

    Gliding Discs

I have rubber mats in my gym room and I tried the sliding discs to less than "gliding results" as the previous posters stated - too much stick in the mats. What works for me is an old fleece blanket that was heading to the rag pile. I just cut a couple of 10 inch squares and I had a great pair...

    Presale info is UP!

Hallelujah!!!! this is the perfect low impact series... a bit of everything including YOGA. My poor right hamstring (which I pulled AGAIN 2 weeks ago) is sooooo excited for this series THANK YOU CATHE for a complete low impact series for the masses that may love to tuck jump, but can't for...

Do you prefer downloads or physical DVDs?

I have both downloads and DVDs and I also prefer the DVDs because of the premixes also. I have a very expensive component cable to my TV that I use to hook my IPod touch and the picture quality isn't as good as the DVDs. That being said, I love having the downloads on my IPod touch so I can do...

    Skin care in your 40's

Oh how I love my clarisonic!! My face feels as smooth as glass when I have finished the 1 minute cleansing cycle. I have been using Philosophy products for years, first to clear up my troubled complexion and now to keep everything moisturized and fresh as I power through menopause. I am 50 and...
