Working Towards a Miltary Push Up

Kissedbysunshine, I had the same problem, but for me it's more the pain in my shoulder that restrict the regular military push-ups. However, lately in a magazine I read an article about mastering "real" push-ups as well as pull-ups.For push-ups, they suggest starting facing a staircase, with...

    Cathe- Bis demnachst!

Cathe, First let me thank you and congratulate you for such a great program. STS turned out all that I expeted from you and then some. The high quality of your workouts and also the logic behind the rotations are the best. I already had started Meso 1 of the 6 months rotation when I learned I...

    levitation lifts

I have the P90X push-up bars/habdles and they helped me a lot for the levitation hold. I can follow Cathe for the crossed legged ones as well as 1 good straight legs. It's just enough for me to do it. I tried from my fingers but no can do. Hope this helps.

    Suggestions for after STS rotation

This is a good idea. I am just finishing Meso 1 but the 6months rotation and I have not taken a rest week yet (I am in the 7th week). I am 53 yr/old and my body is REALLY feeling it. It's sending me all kinds of signals that's it's about time to rest a little...LOL However, I will take a...

    Start over?

Same situation I will be in more or less the same situation. I am doing the 5 months rotation (2x meso 1, 2x meso 2 and once meso 3). I am in my second month now, so starting week 3 of meso 1 which I'll be repeating. The day I finish my 8 weeks of meso 1 I will get surgery on my thyroid, which...

    Can't move my head

Hang on Well a year ago I did exactly the same thing with P90X, except that it was the very first exercise (push-ups) and I continued the whole thing...not very smart. I ended up with a pulled muscle along the side of my neck, down the back and it lasted for a good week. Again like other...

    So bummed

Thank you all for the encouragement Ladies, Thank you so much for your encouragement. I decided to start STS anyway, I figure it can do no arm in the end. Because I like to do a workout twice (know what to expect and focus more on form and all...) I will still go for the double. Since I don't...

    So bummed

I was planning and sooo much looking forward to start STS next Monday after we came back from a cruise. My plan was for doing the 6 1/2 month rotation. It was already downloaded in my workout manager calendar. However I just learned that I need surgery on my thyroid, probably end of May, early...

    MOST embarrassing moments!!!!

OK here's mine As Laura Max... it's an old one. I was about 16 years old and taking the bus to the city. Anyway I am walking towards the bus stop and realize that it's coming a few minutes early. So I start running...I was wearing a buttoned wool dress (you know the ones that are buttoned from...

Are you SURE STS is for various fitness levels?

OMG!!! What exactly are we supposed to enter? If for example it's standing dumbels bicep curls and I use 15lbs EACH hand do I enter 15 or 30? I've already started doing the test thanks to your new dowload...as you say even a caveman can do it... and I don't want to waste my time with...

    The Nutrition link

I was wondering if any of you have used the Nutrition manager from this site. I presently work with FitDay and I wanted to have some opinions from users how it compares. I know it goes a lot more in details as far as "grading" is concerned. I navigate easily in FitDay, I have entered many of my...

Do you change your caloric intake?

This is what I am using now and as Namita said it's call the zig-zag method. According to Tom Vesuvo's Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscles (BFFM) it's the best method to lose weight and burn fat. You must have a caloric deficit to loose weight, but you don't want to stay in a large deficit for an...

cathe's DVD's available for IPOD Download??

Andrea, There is a software available online that you can download on your computer that will allow you to transfer DVD's to your I-Pod. I used it for both my husband and I as we travel extensively (him 10X more than I do) and we end up quite often in hotels. We both were on the P90X program...

    Jess! P90X question....

Tina, It depends WHY you want to substitute PlyoX. I "graduated" in March and because of serious back problems (herniated disk L-5/S-1) I had to sub. Every time I tried the w/o (about 3 times) I paid the price the days following. So if it's because of the impact then you can sub with any low...

Hello ladycoolers, "Litterally" back from the dead. Soooo much has happened in the last 3 weeks my head is still spinning. Let's start by the beginning shall we? If you recall (and you may not;-) ) I mentioned that "something" was going on in our lives but I couldn't talk at the time. Well...

    Assisted Dip and Chin Machine

Hi! I did get the Woody Band puul-up set and I am using only the smallest 2 or the least resistance. You don;t need the 3rd one unless you really need a lot of assistance. I love them by the way. Good luck.

At my wits end about my middle

I am 52 and for the longuest time tried to lose weight and shed some volume at the waist. Then I found P90X and what a difference. I did the whole program, it actually took me more than 90 days as I got injured and started some phases again. I lost 2 inches in the waist, 7 lbs and 2% bofy fat...
