    Thursday night dinner-poll

Pardon my ignorance here, but does everyone eat in a group, or do we all go our separate ways?

    more circuit type workouts...

I agree. Circuits were the wave of the future when instructors found out the dangers of using weights while stepping. There's no reason they shouldn't be now.

    STS Commentary

I guess I could understand that. Do what works-a fair point. I thought maybe she could attempt making workouts in those fields because I find many workouts from those genres (or at least the few I've tried) to be either boring or watered down. Then again those kinds of workouts are probably...

    Any cancellations yet?

I was contacted. I got two spots: one for me and one for my mother. I just got off the phone a few minutes ago. I'm elated.

I'm LOST on what DVD to add to collection.

Drill Max. It seems like it's the most multi-purpose out of the bunch.

    MIRALAX EVERYDAY - OKAY?

Problems of the digestive system... I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was seven. A colonoscopy was used to diagnose it, although I wasn't given another one until I was fourteen, possibly because doctors don't like to give too many of those to young patients. I had the third last...

    STS Commentary

I see where you're going with this, then. While lifting heavy weights gets results, you may not wind up looking like Cathe. Not everyone has that propensity to build muscle. Then again.you probably already knew that. Kudos for being able to embrace and complete STS. While I may not agree about...

    STS Commentary

I'm not afraid to lift heavy. I've lifted heavy. And as for Cathe's body, she's very muscle-bound now. Many people seem to think that this look is better for her. I think she looked adorable in her earlier days. In some ways, I preferred her before. But that's just my opinion. It should not stop...

    STS Commentary

I know that there was another thread on this, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, Cathe, my mother has been a fan of yours for a long time. She found your workouts by chance on the internet when she was googling advanced workouts. She had gotten her start with Kathy Smith, but she needed something a...

    Weighted Barbell Bar

Tony Horton has already taken indirect swipes at her for that. An adjustable barbell/bar would be welcome.

WHATS the difference between Kettlebells and Dumbells?

My back is not loving the free weights right now, so I'm thinking of switching to kettlebells. Since I'm new to it, I ordered a 5 lb. kettlebell. I also got my first Gin Miller DVD. It seemed to start out with basic moves, but advance quickly, which is right for me. I picked up step just the...

    Fitness milestones

Beating an eating disorder? Who would ever think that weight gain would be a good thing? Not that I was technically underweight-just underweight for me. That and reforming my exercise habits so that I would A. Fuel before and after to prevent muscle loss. B. Be fit but not obsess. At...

    workouts in the gym

That would be wonderful. Since an iPod Touch is coming free with my Mac, I'd probably put that to use.

    PS or S&H

I'm pretty hooked on the Pure Strength series, so I'm a bit biased, since I've never tried the Slow and Heavy series. I have seen the latter, though, and it seemed thorough enough, although I tend to favor the Old School.
