    Anna Benson

I'm glad you posted this. I didn't know Anna had died either. My first exercise video was Jane Fonda, but honestly I never got serious until The Firm Volume 1. I have it on DVD and I still do it from time to time. I am really sorry to hear this.

brazil butt lift - low or high impact? Etc.

I finally broke down and ordered it last night. Couldn't take it anymore, with all this enabling! It looks like so much fun, and also perfect for me with my upper body issues at the moment. Thank you to everyone who answered. I also did a search and read all the previous posts I could find...

brazil butt lift - low or high impact? Etc.

Wendy, what kind of results were you seeing by the 2nd week? That is amazing! I am at a point where my weight is ok, but my body fat is too high - and my abs and butt just look loosey-goosey. I can't do a heck of a lot of intense upper body stuff because I am still struggling from an...

workout dvd that burns lots of calories

I burn a ton of calories doing Cathe's Boot Camp. It's about 60 minutes total. I also like the premixes for Drill Max and Cardio Fusion - all are well under 60 minutes and fry me every time.

For those of you who have the High Step

I love the high step. First of all I do love the 3 high step workouts Cathe has. But also I use it for her other workouts that use it (I think push-pull is one example, if my memory is correct), and in general anyplace there are leg presses, one-legged squats, hamstring raises, sit-n-stands...

brazil butt lift - low or high impact? Etc.

Ok so I am intrigued by the infomercial and the positive posts people have written here. But I haven't seen mention yet of impact level (maybe I missed it?). But for anyone who has this workout set, in the 6 or so workouts, are they generally high impact, low impact, mixed, etc.??? Also, is...

Tom Venuto-The Holy Grail Body Transformation Program

JoanC, I haven't read the holy grail book yet but since I saw your post I am printing it right now and will read it soon. Looks like a valuable thing to do this weekend. I did buy the original BFFM and I am pretty sure if you did that and then registered to get emails/updates on their web site...

DVDs To Be Rid Of - Sell, Donate???

I give them to GoodWill. I figure they will benefit someone who would like to work out, but cannot afford to buy the new DVDs, and I am happy with that.

    Elliptical Advice

Have you looked at the Vision Fitness ellipticals? We have one, it cost about $2100. When we got it about 3 years ago we compared it to the Precors and decided on the Vision. Pretty much every day my husband and I both say it this elliptical was the best fitness purchase we have ever made...

what is your favorite Cathe warmup segment?

It's so great to see all of these replies about segments that others like! I plan on trying the ones that everyone here has recommended - now I have a list of warmups to try out :-) I really like to mix and match warmups and stretch routines too - with the various workouts -

    Kick, Punch and Crunch

I would definitely get KPC. I have all of Cathe's workouts, and in my "top ten DVDs ever" list, KPC is definitely way up there for me. I do KPC a lot and always feel it's challenging and fun every time. I also like the various premixes very much and use that feature more than the full video...

what is your favorite Cathe warmup segment?

My favorite is the warmup from Body Max 2. I don't do BM2 much at all, but I do this warmup A LOT. I just love it. No matter how crummy and un-motivated I feel, this warmup always gets me going. The step work is simple yet totally FUN, there is stretching of both lower and upper body, the...

I Need An All Abs Dvd - Any Recs?

I like Cathe's STS Ab Circuit, and her older Ab Hits, and her Core Max. I have and I use them all. I am pretty sure any of them can be purchased separately. All good.

What Cathe w/o do you use your vibram five fingers for?

I love my VFFs. I have the sprint. I would recommend trying them on if at all possible. I tried them on at a local store and actually tried the women's 39 and 40 and the men's 40. The women's and men's shoes are basically the same but the men's tend to have longer toe length and are very...

What do you do to get re-motivated?

What oftens helps me is to pick up a health/fitness/nutrition book I found inspirational in the past - or buy a new one - so when I feel like parking my butt in the lazyboy I park with that book and start reading. Some books (like BFFM) I have read many, many times, but it still helps. Even...

yoga tune-up quickfix Rx w/jill miller

has anyone tried this? I am always looking for "healing" i.e. rehab/stretching type videos. As much as I love to work out hard at age 52 I seem to spending a lot more time stretching etc. to try to get rid of various sore areas. Anyway I just got this in the mail after ordering it - it has...

    Anyone watching "Dexter".

We have really enjoyed both Dexter and Six Feet Under with Michael C. Hall. I think he's a great actor. No one mentioned it in the forum yet to my knowledge, so maybe not everyone's aware - but Hall is currently under treatment for cancer. Hodgkin's I believe. So if anyone is inclined, pray...

What One Food Makes You Wanna Open a Can of Whoop-Ass?

Cookie dough, and more cookie dough, and then the cookies baked from it. Can't stop eating it and then feel like hell afterwards. What makes me feel good? Hmmm... maybe salmon, broccoli, and some brown rice. Too bad I eat that once a year, LOL.
