    CANCER AWARENESS

Thanks Jean. Our Cathlete will be missed so, so much. What a beautiful soul. I also lost my Mother-in-law to Burkitt's Lymphoma in July. Run your heart out today, Jean, for all of us. Thank you.

That's it! Im going to get a big boobs!

I have so many friends who have done this and have loved it. I don't know anyone who has regretted her decision. I even know 1 woman who did it and it changed her personality. She had been so self-conscious and shy because of her lack of boobs. When she got them she became confident and...

    Cathe website video search suggestions

On Cathe's website there is a section where the workouts are divided into types; low-impact, stretch/yoga, step aerobics, circuit training, bootcamp, strength and toning, etc. I often use that to help me decide on a particular work-out for the day. Is that what you are looking for? HTH

    Over 40 ladies poll

I'm 47. I have 1 bad knee (post ACL repair) and 2 bad ankles (previous BAD sprains). I can do 1 or maybe 2 high impact workouts a week, max . I modify a lot of moves, though. There are a few moves I substitute for as I feel that they are too risky for me. I do love the high impact...

    Hot Oil Treatment--Cathe Style

I do this frequently (every 2-3 weeks). I often use Burt's Bees avacado conditioner or a Paul Mitchell conditioner. I have also used WEN. Any good deep-conditioner will do....works great!

    Step Shox: Worth It?

I have the Step Shox. I have terrible issues with my left knee (post ACL repair with little to no cartilage left in my left knee) and can only do step or high impact once or maybe twice a week. I had great hopes for the Step Shox but cannot tell that they make any difference at all.

    Help: Kettlebell DVD recommendations?

I have been interested in trying kettlebells for years but just haven't invested yet. Now my 13 year old teenage son has been using them at camp this summer and is interested in continuing to work out with kettlebells at home. I did a search but didn't come up with much. What would my wise...

    feel fit wear distracting

I want to add this in defense of the pricey Lulu clothes; I have a couple of their tanks that I would never dream of actually sweating in. I wear them with a cute jean skirt and great shoes for a casual night out and my husband always loves it! (they are very flattering). I also have a couple...

    feel fit wear distracting

Fun thread! I'm with LauraMax; I LOVE to wear cute work out outfits and I spend much more on my workout clothes than on my work clothes. (actually-I don't spend ANYTHING on my work clothes--scrubs) So maybe having to wear shapeless man-cut, 3-sizes-fit-all, hideous green colored (far worse...

review on RevAbs by Brett Hoebel

reviews on RevAbs by Brett Hoebel? I couldn't find much on the forums about this series. Can anyone who has it give me their opinion? I happened to catch a few minutes of him on Dr. Oz last week and what he demonstrated looked fun and different. (Not that I need anymore workouts; everything...

    False Eyelashes

I with LauraMax and Juice; another Latisse lover here! I have blue eyes and have had no changes. I use it daily but don't use as much as the instructions recommend (they say use 1 drop on each lid, I use 1 drop on the brush and swipe it over both lids). A bottle lasts me about 3 months...

    Recommendations for guided meditation?

Thank you. Alisha and Ann. (a co-worker actually lent me her Jack Kornfield "Meditation for Beginners" this morning!) Coincidentally, Dr. Oz's "column" in today's paper is about meditation aiding in preventing cancer (by reducing stress, therefore the patient has a stronger immune system...

    Recommendations for guided meditation?

My MIL is battling a very aggressive and resistant cancer. I have heard several suggestions that she try meditation to help strengthen her immune system. (I think I will do it with her). Neither of us knows anything about it. Thoughts? Advice? Words of wisdom? Anyone have...

Students suspended for riding bikes to school

A week or two ago was "Ride Your Bike to Work Day" here. I don't know if it was a city-wide thing, a state-wide event or a National event, but maybe they were riding for something like that.

    Food Question

Absolutely! I double-bag my chicken in freezer bags and try hard not to forget about it as it doesn't seem to do very well for long. Also, I tend to use frozen chicken in dishes with sauces or mixed with other stuff (like tacos, etc) as it doesn't seen to taste quite as good after it has been...
