Help Finding a Truly 75 cm Stability Ball

Thanks, that's a good idea. I think we'll just go ahead and get the 85 cm one, and hopefully that will end up being around the 75 cm that we're looking for. Since we've tried three separate brands and none of them were the size advertised this time we'll err on the side of it being too large. :-)

Help Finding a Truly 75 cm Stability Ball

My husband and I have decided to purchase a second stability ball so that we can work out simultaneously, and we are having the worst luck finding a ball to match the one we currently have! Our current ball is a blue, 75 cm Gaiam ball and is made of kind of a translucent rubber-y plastic...

    Heavier Dumbbells

Wow, thanks for all the responses! I think we have a Sports Authority near us, so I'll have to go check them out. The only sporting goods store that I've checked so far is Big 5, and they didn't have a very good selection, but it sounds like Sports Authority might be better. I SO regret buying...

    Heavier Dumbbells

The heaviest pair of dumbbells that I currently own are 20 lbs., and I'm having a tough time finding 25's or 30's anywhere. I would much rather purchase Neoprene ones, but I'm getting the feeling they don't make those heavier than 15's - my 20's are metal and, unfortunately, round so they roll...

STS UPDATE POSTED IN ASK CATHE FORUM!!

Emily, I totally agree with you! I would have my credit card out SO fast if this were 37 DVDs of various types of cardio, especially if a good chunk of that were complex hi-lo or step , but I feel like I already have tons of strength workouts that work fine for me, so getting 37 more seems like...

    Jari Love's Ripped 1000

Oh, also, I was thinking more about this thread and it's interesting that you came away from the one workout kind of thinking that she focuses on lower body. I find myself thinking the opposite and thinking she could use a bit more lower body in there, and that her forte is upper body work. It...

    Jari Love's Ripped 1000

I have been doing Jari exclusively for the last couple of weeks, trying to see if the high-rep lower weight type workouts will work for me. I just got Ripped & Chiseled in the mail yesterday, so I haven't tried it out yet, but I do have the four others. I would say my favorite is Slim & Lean...

    Ryka Mules

Has anyone here ever owned a pair of Ryka mules, or any other sporting type shoe that doesn't have a back? My situation is this: I was recently diagnosed with heel bursitis and my doctor wants to do surgery, but I'd rather wait it out a few months and see if it will heal on its own if I avoid...

Help! I need a blender for Shakes

Another vote here for the super freakin' awesome Vitamix! My husband and I spent several years pining for one but also thinking that there's no way it could be worth $400 and thinking we might not ever use it. Well, that was over two years ago and I still use it just about every day and am...

    Track Lists?

Hi Cathe, My husband and I think that some of the music choices in the videos are excellent. Is there a way to get a soundtrack song list of some of the videos? I know that Big Beat does the songs, but it's tough sifting through their entire collection of samples for a song that may not even...

    husbands?

My husband is a trooper! We have a home gym set up in our garage, but it's only big enough for one of us to work out at a time. So in the morning I go out first and do a video, and then he will go out afterwards and do the same one. We've been following Cathe's rotations since July and have both...

    Cathe AND joining a gym?

Thanks for all the responses on this. I did some research, and it turns out that there is a local rec center not too far from us and it sounds like they have exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to go check into it tomorrow, and hopefully I can avoid the meat markets! :D

    Cathe AND joining a gym?

My husband and I have been working out with Cathe for about a year now, and started doing her rotations three months ago, which we love. She tends to have a day or two a week on her rotations where she puts in "steady state run" or "60 minute bike ride", or other non-video activities. We live in...

anyone with good pumpkin bread recipe?

Do you use a regular-sized can of pumpkin (the same size as regular canned veggies) or one of those jumbo cans for this recipe? Also, can you recommend a good brand of spice cake mix? These sound yummy!

drinks - no sugar or artificial sweetner, low calories

Lately I've been a big fan of the TruLemon and TruLime packets that are out in stores now (I think they also have TruOrange, although I haven't come across it in my store yet). You can put them in water, smoothies, or even cook with them, and each packet has 25% of your daily vitamin C and no...

    How old are you?

30 years old here, although I keep being reminded that my husband is only 29, and soon I'll be 31 and he'll STILL be 29! Such a cradle robber. Thanks to Cathe both of us are feelin' good though!

    Question for the educated crowd...........

You know, I've thought recently about purchasing another health club memberhip (LA Fitness and Ballys are both fairly close to me), but I just can't seem to get up the willpower to go in and talk to one of their salespeople. The whole thing seems so pushy and fake to me, and I can't help but...

    Who is/was your strangest crush?

I've had a lot, but I'd probably say Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was probably my strangest one, being that now I'm only 30 and when I was really into him I was probably 20. Sexy man! :9

    CTX?

Thanks for the responses. I think I've finally figured it out and am looking forward to trying them! }(

    CTX?

I just got the CTX DVDs, and even after taking a look at the them, I'm still pretty confused about how they work. Are they all separate workouts? Or are they different combinations of the same things? The way they're set up is fairly confusing. When Cathe says to do "CTX kickbox" on a rotation...
