    Still, no weight loss

First, don't get discouraged when weight loss doesn't occur; try to concentrate on the positive outcomes of improved fitness and strength! Second, I truly believe exercise improves health and fitness, but diet has the biggest impact on weight loss. Finally, I feel that in the rush to embrace...

just started ripped with hiit.. dont think i can hang

I just wanted to add that the first time I tried the 30-day Getting Started with RWH rotation, I quit on day 20. I knew I was getting tired, but wanted to push through. Unfortunately, found myself too fatigued to finish the warm up, so gave up! Went back to my other workouts, tried harder...

just started ripped with hiit.. dont think i can hang

I too would recommend X Train. I did not find it nearly as intense as Ripped With HIIT, and I just loved the music. That being said, I am very glad I own RWH, as I intend to tackle it again once I finish my Coloma River Run 10k next month. Also, I just admitted to myself that I need to lower to...

ICE made me love working out again!

Hi Liberty. Sorry...just saw this. But yes, I think ICE is definitely a more doable series than X Train for those getting back into exercise. Although I am doing Level 3 (so including the Blizzard Blasts and Muscle Meltdowns), I am definitely appreciating the shorter rep cycles and slightly...

    ICE MTB intermediate???!!!!

Late to the party, but am I the only person with weak triceps? I find all of the segments with tricep work quite challenging. I keep wondering "do I have good form"? I feel like my elbows are really flaring and not tight to my ears... Those 10-pounders were really feeling heavy near the end of...

    Party Rockin' Step 2

I was really happy to see this post, because although I agree that HIIT workouts are effective and valuable, I do love learning the step patterns and putting them together at the end (which I realize is what most folks who don't like step routines don't enjoy). I love the feeling of...

    ICE Chiseled Lower Body Blast

I am doing Level 3, and it has been very fun, but I will note that the workouts can be on the long side (approx. 90 minutes) when they include the Blizzard Blast, Muscle Meltdown, and Icy Core segments. I am finding that I frequently need to do some swapping around so that the longer ones happen...

ICE made me love working out again!

I am late to the ICE party because I was doing X Train, but now feel so excited to get up each morning and have a new workout to look forward to. My kids think I am nuts, because I already have so many Cathe videos, but I know the folks on this forum understand me.

    XTrain?

I have posted this on other threads, so sorry for the repetition, but I have started the last three years with the X Train 90-day rotation, and looking forward to next year!

    XTrain?

Here is a fantastic blog by one of our own Cathletes, and I cannot tell you how many times I have read and re-read all of the X Train entries: http://2lazy4gym.com/2012/12/31/my-intro-to-xtrain/. Another place to look for X Train feedback is in the "New and Upcoming Workouts" subforum. O...

    All aboard the X-train!

Yes, go to the workout manager (http://cathe.com/workout) then click Rotations, Download a Rotation > Next, Cathe Rotation > Next, scroll about halfway down and you will see the X Train options. Choose one and click Next, and the entire rotation will be displayed, with an option to include it in...

    All aboard the X-train!

I have just 3 workouts left from my 90-day X Train rotation, then I finally start ICE on Saturday! This is my third year of starting the 90-day rotation at the beginning of the year, and I just love it! I think this is my strongest year yet. Enjoy your X Train time, and I will be back next January!

Favorite salve for sore muscles and/or pulls

Another vote for Sombra here! It really is amazing, and the first thing I wanted to add to this discussion.

Max Intensity Strength & other older dvds

I just had another thought...have you tried viewing the website clips of the older workouts on your computer? Do you have the ability to show them on your TV, like using Apple TV? That might be helpful in helping you decide if they are too blurry.

Max Intensity Strength & other older dvds

I do notice a difference in picture quality, but don't find the older DVDs unwatchable. Of course, I would feel bad if you purchased a new 'old' DVD on my account and still felt dissatisfied with the picture. But if I could persuade my boys (ages 15 and 11) to try Cathe, I would have them start...

Did I lose my Cardio Fitness?

I noticed this too...your opening post perfectly captures my fitness history as well. Although I never have run an actual marathon, when I was younger, I went on a 22-mile run with friends who were and I was completely fine. Then in my late 40s, injuries began piling up and my fitness suffered...

    X-Train or ICE

I am looking forward to trying ICE, but this is my third year of starting my year with the 90-day X Train rotation, so will start ICE next. I love X Train and the music is wonderful. (Once I finish the 90-day rotation, I don't allow myself to do any X Train until the following January in order...

    Help with Hard Strikes

I really understand where you are coming from here, because Hard Strikes was also my first boxing workout video and I felt a bit lost and confused at first. Eventually, I began to enjoy it and then purchased the famous Kick, Punch, and Crunch workout, which has excellent instructions for both...

    Where to begin

I agree that it would be helpful to to try workouts via On Demand, but thought I would share my own Cathe beginnings, since I started from a similar place as you. My very first Cathe workouts were Basic Step and Low Impact Step (these came combined on a DVD that came with the Home Step I...

What fitness related/none fitness related item did Santa bring you?

My son gave me my best fitness-related gift this year: Nike MetCon 1 training shoes (MetCon stands for metabolic conditioning). I had been using Nike Free shoes combined with additional ankle/arch support, but was not thrilled with the result. (I had lots of foot cramping during workouts with a...
