How do you find and use the Cathe Slider?

Hi Janie You may need to go into your User CP and edit your signature. Did you check the box, "insert ticker into my Cathe Forum page". If that doesn't work either cut/paste the ticker from Cathe Fun and insert it directly onto your signature through User CP, you may need delete some of your...

How do you find and use the Cathe Slider?

Hi Janie Go to Workout Manager. At the very top is a thin/small menu ribbon. Click on "Cathe Fun". You'll find different progress tickers to choose from. And you can choose multiples...weight loss, STS, etc. :D

Let's chat about the filming of the new workouts

Hi Cathe I am looking forward to seeing your latest creations! One quick question - compound moves tend to be shoulder intensive. To preserve my shoulders I always have to lighten the weight, but then I feel less of the intended Tabata or metabolic effect. What kind of shoulder...

    To those who use Fitday.com.....

Hi Deb I don't use Fitday.com, but I have had some of the same experiences as you with other websites depending upon which browser I am using. I hope you get some answers from Fitday; losing your custom foods is frustrating and disappointing, and to start over somewhere else - that's simply...

    Weighing Food

It is confusing! Especially when most of the online calorie calculator sites are inconsistent. For example at Sparkspeople I've noticed the same caloric values given to 4 oz of raw chicken as 4oz cooked chicken. What is more frustrating is when raw or cooked is not specified. Who can you...

CUTE! New spin bike shorts from Lucy

Thanks Suzy! I am so glad you bought a pair and came back to share...(rhyme not intended, but it made me laugh.:D) I am going to "request" a pair for Mother's Day. I have two that fit in the diaper category, and instead of providing nice cushioning they can sometimes chafe. Not fun...

    Help: Kickbox dvds

Yes it does make sense :), because Ilaria did the same thing in subsequent Powerstrike dvds. It is frustrating. I have been curious about these (#1-3) for the longest time, so it is nice to finally put that to rest. :D

    Help: Kickbox dvds

Thanks to both of you. I was feeling a little shy about Ebay given that some people have gotten illegal boot-legs...but in this case it sounds like I needn't have worried. VHS - I don't think I own a player any longer. I've since heard they were badly produced too. Thanks again for...

    Help: Kickbox dvds

I am trying to locate the older Millenium-Powerstrike dvds that Ilaria Montagnani did with Patricia Moreno, I believe there are three of them. Does anyone know where I can buy these new or used? Thanks in advance, :D

    Push-Ups

What NY25 said, plus - remember to engage your entire core too, this will help a lot. core: abs, low back, glutes, upper quad region. Doing this will help you make push-ups more of a chest exercise and less of a shoulder exercise. HTH :D

Another book thread - Hmmm I wonder what Clare's reading?

Clare - Hmmmm.... "Well, I finished "50 Shades" vol 1 and I was relieved to be done with it! Doesn't bode well for vols 2 and 3..." I'm thinking you should swerve around Vol 2&3. :D I need an Edith Wharton in my life to objectively tell me - from her distance as my narrator - when I am...

    Am I just getting old?

Hi Lisa: Thank you for sharing your story. I am glad you got through it too, and I'm glad you found your way back to Cathe and fitness. We just have to take it a day at a time... baby steps, really. Journaling everything has helped me. I journal everything, what I am feeling, what I am...

Another book thread - Hmmm I wonder what Clare's reading?

So - Clare - I finally finished, "The House of Mirth", this weekend. I read "Custom of the Country" awhile back, and I think I've read, "Ethan Frome", but oh my - oh my - her writing, her observations, her analogies, and her metaphors in "The House of Mirth", were simply awe inspiring. I...

New 10 mile PR, Thanks to Cathe and Coach Sean!

Congatulations Jenn! I loved reading your success story.:D Your PR's and even better PR's are impressive and inspiring! I experienced the same realization as you: more weights + less running = better running. Seems like strong glutes along with a strong core is the magic ticket. I...
