Push-Ups

Hi Cathe -

I was just wondering what you felt was the best way to handle not being able to do as many push-ups as you straight legged. Which is the best way to increase strength......

1) Just slow down and keep doing straight legged push-ups until you finish the set - but, then haven't done as many reps as you, or;

2) Go to bent knee position and keep the same pace and do the same amount of reps as you.

Hope this question makes sense.....

I know you are busy now - looking forward to the DVD's!

Do as many as you can straight-legged, then go to bent leg. The ratio of straight to bent will increase over time, as your strenght increases.

What NY25 said, plus - remember to engage your entire core too, this will help a lot.

core: abs, low back, glutes, upper quad region.

Doing this will help you make push-ups more of a chest exercise and less of a shoulder exercise.
