    Treadmoves

Thanks! I'll check out the reviews, but you've got me convinced! I think I will put this on my Christmas list. I'm excited, since I don't know when the BB DVD's will get here and I have been bored with my workouts lately. This sounds like what I have been loooking for.... Happy Holidays! Lynn.

    Treadmoves

Hi Kat! I just checked out the runerval web site you listed and would like to try one. Which one would you recommend - #2 or #3 (I think #2 was tempo and #3 was Cheetah fast). Thanks! Lynn

    Karen Voight

She does have a book and the last section talks a bit about diet and even includes some recipes. I am sure you could probably order it from her website, karenvoight.com . Lynn

    Got a job! (kinda)

Congrats, Connie! It is true, patience does pay off. I got my group fit cert in September of 2002. I actually picked the club I wanted to work at prior to getting certified and let the fitness manager know that I was getting certfied and was interested in teaching there. I actually auditioned...

    Thinking about you Tonight!

RE: Woo-Hooo! Very Cool, Debbie! My husband is originally from Canton (Massilon) area and I am originally from Youngstown. If you are ever in the Columbus area and want to take a class let me know, you can check out one of mine. I am no Cathe, of course, but I can make you sweat! Do you teach...

    high step

RE: Hi Lynn! Hi Debbie! I did notice actually, that it is quite wobbly at times and you do need to be careful. Now you have just pulled my arm into another purchase - hubby will be so happy to see me add to my inventory of fitness paraphanalia (SP??!):-) . Just kidding, of course, I knew I...

    Thinking about you Tonight!

Hi Joanna - nice to "meet" you. This forum is the only place I have met anyone familiar with Cathe, so I really appreciate it and all the nice people here with similiar interests.:-)

    Thinking about you Tonight!

Hi DebbieH! I was just wondering what part of Ohio you are in - I am in Columbus. Lynn (good to have a neighbor in the forums!):-)

    high step

I have been using the Bolinger step (from the S&H and PH workouts) where Cathe uses the high step in the intensity series. This has been working fine for me. Does anyone have a benefit of ordering the high step over just using what I have been using? I have been debating whether or not to order...

    Hover squats

Thanks, Debbie! That is what I was thinking, but wasn't quite sure. Of course, I love those sit'n'stands, or is it I love to hate those sit'n'stands??!! I am very much looking forward to this new series and some new challenges! Lynn

    AFAA PT Cert.

CEU's are continuing education credits. To keep a certification in AFAA you need 15 CEU's every two years, in addition to CPR certification, which needs renewed every year. I think you will be fine to go with NFPT. My opinion is people first want to know if you are certified, through who is...

    AFAA PT Cert.

There are a TON of organizations that offer PT certifications. Some even offer online certification. I chose AFAA because it is well known and seems to be universally accepted. Also, it is beneficial for me because they offer the certification in my town and twice a year they run an APEX where...

    AFAA PT Cert.

Hi Sherry! Thanks for your encouragement. Believe it or not the thing I have the most anxiety over right now is being away from my kids for that many hours three days in a row!! Of course, I may grow to appreciate the time to myself. I do need to prepare a little more, though, so I do feel...

    Moves that are still difficult!

RE: Hi Kathy! Ok, that's not fair - next time I do this video I am going to think of falling down the mountain and crack up! Seriously, though, I can relate - just when I think I am so well conditioned, Cathe comes up with another move to put me in my place! And sometimes I try to do these...

    Moves that are still difficult!

I actually have more trouble in bootcamp with the ice breakers than the squat thrust climbers. I struggle to get the last few in, they do not bother me in cardio kicks, but they really get me in bootcamp (?)! As silly as it sounds, it really helps me to chant "down, out, climb the mountain...

    AFAA PT Cert.

The joint action is the hardest for me to get too. It just has not yet registered. Is this a large part of the exam?

    AFAA PT Cert.

Thanks! I will check the website. I have only been studying this past week, so I have cut myself short. Life is so busy for me right now. It was not the perfect time to schedule, but I wanted the APEX price. I think I can crunch and make some progress though (hopefully!).

    AFAA PT Cert.

Checking in to see if anyone has taken the AFAA Personal Trainer Certification. If so, any tips would be appreciated. I am taking the exam in less than two weeks! Thanks! Lynn

    Class format

Hi Cathe! Saw that you are back at the Forums, so I thought I would shoot this one to you. I start teaching a strength class next week.. The class meets two days/week. The question is, how often should I change the style/exercises of the class. To date I have just been subbing and so every class...
