    Jillian Michaels

Kicking up this thread to say that I did Jillian's Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism today...I rented it off Netflix. Wow..it was challenging which I didn't quite expect from the 'Int./Advanced' rating it has on Collage Video, but I tried to take her suggestions for 'advanced' modifications. The moves...

    STS Nutrition Guide

Hi daryn, Nope, there isn't a nutrition guide that comes with STS...the "Users' Guide" that it comes with is a break down of all the workouts. Cathe does have a subscription nutrition software though..you can find it in the "Workout Manager", but I don't have any experience w/ it. HTH.

    Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis/ Design Series

Nightowl: I think you are right...most of her clients want slender arms without much definition. I am mostly intrigued by her lower body work...I would definitely be 'glutecentric' (no doubts about that...right now, the animation/cartoon she uses in the infomercial could be my...

    My tower is here

I'll report back how the tower works out..my tubing was more challenging in the first couple weeks...now I think I could probably keep going with my reps while Cathe and crew have already moved on..so I think it's a good time for me to be getting the tower. I have no idea if there are many pull...

    My tower is here

How are you enjoying your Turbo Tower? I just ordered mine yesterday..I have been using tubing for all pull-ups.. Meso 2 barbell bench presses are what pushed me to order the tower...putting the barbell on the ground after each set is a minor annoyance but enough so to make me want to get the...

Is STS useful when trying to lose weight?

Congrats! Did you lose weight steadily throughout the mesos or did you find that a particular one boosted your results? What cardio did you add? Any diet changes? The last 10 are so hard to lose...Your results are very impressive! I am working on my "last 10" also and am halfway through meso 2...

    Beginner question about weights.....

I recently bought the Troy Lite bar from all the good reviews here...I think it's great. I appreciate the fact that the plates have cutouts to use as handles, which makes plate changes and keeping your workout space organized a bit easier. If you get the set...I would also add two 1.25 lb plates...

    Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis/ Design Series

Phyllis (and others who have done the workouts), How do you find the meta program to be for arms?..have you been able to maintain your results from STS in terms of arm definition/muscle size using Tracy's program? How many months have you been doing the workouts? I'm currently doing STS...

    20 Second Fitness

For those of you that are bodyrock fans, How are you implementing her workouts into your schedule? Curious if anyone has tried a rotation by doing them exclusively or do you just fit them in somehow? I haven't tried any of them yet...do you mostly find they target the whole body thoroughly...

    step and motion

1992- The Home Step Workout..I pulled this one out today to check it out (and I did the step portion :))..of the OOPs, I only have this and Cardio Step Challenge. It is meant to be a beginner/intermediate tape. I think it's a lot more simple than Basic Step, because Cathe breaks down even the...

    step and motion

I have "Cardio Step Challenge" and the "Home Step Workout"...Are these different than Step n' Motion 2 and 3? Someone here on the board recommended these to me years ago as a stepping stone to her more advanced workouts. I did Cardio Step Challenge a couple weeks ago..the simple choreography...

Starting STS for the first time and have a couple questions

I have done some cardio on the same days as STS...mostly shorter workouts (some short premixes like step only from Step, Pump, and Jump, etc) and on the same day as an upper body w/o. For me, the lower body workouts have a 'cardio effect' so I wouldn't pair extra cardio with those. For the...

    Rebounding!

I agree, a Cathe rebounding DVD would be a lot of fun! Does the Extreme Urban Rebounding set have any w/o that are pure cardio?..I was doing some previewing and it seemed like they are mostly circuits.. I don't really want to get down off the trampoline to do push-ups off of it or anything...

Thanks for this link, hadn't seen this list before and haven't tried all of Shock Cardio yet. :)

    Hardest to Easiest

For the Low Impact Series, I read that Afterburn is supposed to be toughest w/ Athletic Training being second in this blog post: Cathe Friedrich - Time Breakdown for AfterBurn YogaRelax should obviously be the easiest...I am curious where the others fall, too.

    Started sts today

Enjoy! I am starting Meso 2 tomorrow...this is my 1st round of STS also. Wait till you get to the legs DVDs..the first one, especially, gave me the worst DOMs (and I used body weight only for all the lunges/step ups)..!

    Squat rack dvd

There isn't an edited preview as far as I know, either, but a lot of the STS exercises are uploaded onto YouTube...here's one from the squat rack DVD.. Exercise #516 - Squats (barbell) - YouTube If you browse the thumbnails for the channel, I think you'll be able to find a couple more..

    Workouts - Weights Only

Hi Kelly, I think the DVDs themselves are around 55 minutes long (at least that's what it says in the workout manager) but I find myself hitting 'back chapter' often because of the very quick equipment changes. The workouts have been taking me about 70-75 mins...not including the extended...

    Workouts - Weights Only

Have you considered STS? It's weights only..split into Chest/Shoulders/Biceps, Legs, Back/Triceps.. I just finished Meso 1..I'm finding it really motivating..each disc isn't exactly the same, so it's a lot more fun that way...and it's fun to go through the progression.
