My Success Story
On December 23, 2008, I met my final goal weight of 122 pounds. Since joining Spark People in June 2008, I've lost 20 pounds and gone from a size 12 to a size 4.

It's hard for me to believe that six months ago, it was everything I could do just to put down my bag of chips and get up off the sofa. I started my journey slowly, first by cleaning up my diet and cutting down on junk food. Then I started to exercise lightly. Now fitness is such a huge part of my life and is what I consider a passion.

Although there will always be a part of me concerned with the number on the scale, what's important is that I've reached my over-arching goal of becoming fit and healthy. Sure, I will always have my weaknesses and my demons. But ultimately, I know I'm doing well and that I'm setting a positive example for my daughter.
