    Slam Ball

I use a slam ball at the gym in a circuit rotation doing overhead slams. I love it! It really gets your heart rate up & I can feel in it my entire body. I use a 25 lb slam ball for overhead slams. I think anything under 20 lbs will be too light.

    Pilates / Yoga Recommendation DVD's

I recently got some yoga DVDs to go along with STS. I have Shiva Rea Daily Engergy Vinyasa Flow Yoga. It has 7 20 minute practices that you can mix and match and also has longer premixes. I really like this one. It's challenging and you can make it short or long. She has a lot of other DVDs...

Rolled my ankle! Need shoe recommendation

I roll/sprain my ankle a lot and need shoes with great lateral support. I recently bought Asics Gel Intensity and like them a lot. They have awesome lateral support, arch support and cushioning. Here's a link on Zappos: http://www.zappos.com/asics-gel-intensity-w-white-cherry-silver Karen

    weighted glove question

I bought the 4 lb gloves about 6 weeks ago to do STS. Overall, I like them. I usually am a medium to large in women's gloves and bought the L/XL. They fit my hands well. They are a little loose on the wrist if I don't velcro them way down, but it doesn't slide around or anything. If you...

    firewalker bands?

You can still do the lower body DVD with paper plates for the gliding discs and using a regular band and tying it around your ankles like Cathe did in Butts & Gutts for the firewalker bands.

    Anyone from the Denver Area?

I really liked living in Boulder. It's eclectic, funky and fun. It is very pedestrian friendly and there is always something going on. There's a lot of awesome hiking and biking trails right out your door! It's also a very social place and very easy to meet others. I also like Evergreen...

    diastisis - attn sheila

You can try and email Sheila at [email protected]. I emailed her postpartum in 2006 and she emailed me a lot of info and exercises to do. My diastis was mild and no longer have that cheese wedge thing going on with my abs. Also, this is an old response from Cathe (2002) that I...

lunges and plie squats -- okay when pregnant?

I had the same thing when I was about as far along as you are. My doctor said my baby was head down and pretty low and the baby's position was causing the achiness in the pubic area. If it was very uncomfortable for me, I'd stop doing lunges or plie squats; however, on some days it really...

    exercise while pregnant

    >I am bringing this thread to the top in the hopes of getting >an answer to my question in the last paragraph. :) I hadn't heard of Lindsay Brin's workout, but I researched it and I totally would have bought it if I knew about it. It looks like there is a lot of variety and it looks more...

    BM 2 choreography-whoa!!!

I think the premix you did starts out with the bonus cardio which consists of the finished combos, so they aren't broken down. I agree w/the previos poster. You should try it with just the step portion. Once you've done that once or twice you should be able to do the premix and get the...

Feeling bad in my first tri . . .

Hi Chrissy, I feel your pain! I had a baby girl September 18, 2006 and it was my first pregnancy. I didn't get nauseaus until 8 weeks and unfortunately I was one of those unlucky ones that had it the entire pregnancy! It eased up a tiny bit around 24 weeks, but the first trimester was...
