Morning Ladies! P90X and I did the chest and back - getting stronger on pull ups - can't believe how man push ups I did. I am doing my ab work out from Oxygen the trisets I posted yesterday.

LOL! I didn't even look for it yet. I forgot all about it. I'll check out my mag tonight. I want to work my abs tomorrow after I work shoulders.
 
Sonya: My X uses to listen to rap music and I hated it with a passion, really, the things that they said. I swear between his X Box, Rap and fowl language, well…… that’s why we ain’t together, it uses to hurt my ear drums to see and hear! Never around my grand kids I’m sure you are a wonderful and a stay on top of things, mother.

Debbie: I know, when the report first broke a week or two ago! They claim he did it. This is the first time interviewing the boy on the news. Firsts, he claimed someone else, then out of his own mouth this morning, he said he did it. I don’t know what to believe at this time The media claim, he should’ve had a grown up with him while being interviewed and I agree. It’s really a sad story, but stay tune there’s going to be lots said regarding this tragic story. I just can’t believe, someone that young is capable of commenting such a thing, I just can’t!

Debbie - I looked at this morning to remeber the name and now I have totally blanked on it. I think it is abs in less time or something. It is pretty challenging, at least for me. The bench V-ups really get me in my low back and I may need to substitute something for it.

Teddy Girl - the reports this morning on the news are they think the boy may have confessed because he was questioned incorrectly. he was brought in as a witness because he found his father and the other gentleman. Apparently it is easy to get incorrect information from children, and they believe he was pressured or somewhat convinced to confess. There are also strict rules for questioning children - if they are a suspect - which they did not follow. It will be intersting to see how it all plays out.
 
Just finished my workout. Decided not to work triceps as they have some DOMS in there from yesterday even though I didn't get to finish my tricep work.:rolleyes:

(Really want to get to the 50's soon. The problem is too that I almost need a 3 min rest inbetween sets cuz it gets the heart rate really high)

Short workout, but did my best. Next I will do plyo's with my little friend here soon.
 
First I'll comment on the little boy. It's horrible and I agree with all of you about there just being way to much violence in everything around us. Which is why my kids own no gaming systems, we do not have cable TV or satelite...the only thing they get to watch are videos pre-approved by me!:D
DS recently had his 7th birthday and when people were asking about gift ideas the would mention characters from popular shows and I am like "my son has no idea who that is" Funny thing he wanted to be Darth Vader for Halloween but he had never seen Star Wars.

Diane Sue - What kind of Kettlebells did you get? And what workouts? I feel your pain, of having those and not being able to play with them!!!
 
Ally: Yep! that’s the problem, they didn’t handled the interview in the right procedure. Who knows, this thing is going to go on for awhile. I just hope and pray the kid had nothing to do with it.

Wow! You gals are chatty today. :)

I've had such a busy day and am just now getting around to posting. I did have time to get my shoulder stretched and OUCH!!! He made me pull it in some directions too and then he would hold it and MAMA MIA! He's going to give me some exercises that I need to start doing. I seriously just want to cry so I just keep saying, "I'm not a wimp. I'm not a wimp." Ugh!

Today I did biceps and abs and Plyometrics X.

These were hard today. Still can't pull myself up but can lower myself down. I focused on going slower on the way down. Athletic Trainer told me I'm going too far down and need to pull back up before I reach the bottom or I'm dead in the water. I'll try that next week. I'm still jumping up. :mad:

Tried to go to 22.5 but just couldn't lift it. DANG IT!

I wanted to do lat pulldowns but I ran out of time. I'll do them tonight or maybe sneak back down to the PE building and do them. My shoulder hurt too much to do them after I got it stretched this morning.

I saw that little boy being interviewed last night. It was hard for me to believe he did it because his answers seemed so believable at first. I never did hear the confession of course.

Great workouts everyone! You are all so inspiring to me.
 
I started back monitoring what I eat yesterday. I know my eating has been way off. I had some Chicken Curry that I make from one of the Oxygen magazines for lunch. May have it for dinner too:) Very low sodium and fat. Yesterday I kept my sodium and fat really low. Wish the calories would have been a little lower though.

Linda, I had heard that you should feel the handles on the kettlebells when you purchase them to make sure that they are smooth so they don't tear up your hands. I purchased the GoFit 15,20,& 25 lb kettlebells. I also ordered a dvd called Goddess Kettlebell workout from Amazon. It seems to have good reviews on Video Fitness and Amazon. From what I understand there is no music in it but you can play your own. I have a friend sending me Kettlebells the Iron Core Way (I think she said volumes 1,2,&3) and one with Lauren Brooks. That should get me started. I looked at Pavel's for women but from what I understand it is just instructional. I was sort of interested in some from Art of Strength. I looked that up when reading about someone using them from musclewithattitude.com. Anyway I think I will have enough to get started. I want Amy Bento's but her presale won't start till January. She may have two as the other that she filmed a while back should come out sometime during the first quarter.

Ally, I was using the Oxygen Trisets off once a week before I got sick. I like them. I added to them but I like lots of ab work.:)

Dallys, I don't need meditation I just needed something to knock me out LOL.

Sonya and Dallys, I think he was worried so to him it was an emergency. He uses his vehicle to travel from store to store that he supervises so he cannot be without a vehicle for work. That being said, I think if he thought about it rationally he would have realized I would say he could use the truck and I would help and just called me first thing in the morning.

Hello everyone-I feel like I missed out all day! I keep thinking I am getting a sore throat, then it goes away. Last night, it hurt as did my neck which usually means strep, and since one of my best friends has it, I figured I was next. Today, woke up feeling much better. I hope it stays that way! So, no cardio last night unless sleep counts :p but today...Spinervals Have Mercy! Holy Schmoley - 2 hours, 27 miles, 1337 calories burned, 181 max HR, 152 avg HR. I think my max speed was about 21mph but with all of the steady states, the avg was brought down. WooHoo!!!

Diane Sue - keep us posted on the KBs. I'm pondering those...

Toasty - glad the DH got some taters in him ;)
 
Hey Crazies! I went for a 9 mile bike ride and then came home and did Muscle Endurance. Feeling fine! That's about it and now it's feed the machine time.:p

Talk tomorrow...
 
Hello! tonight I did Butts and Guts the standing non-bonus part, and then the stability ball abs.

Last week I did articles in my textbook on violence in the media and censorship in a couple of my classes, actually. there was one rather odd article in there written by a physician who feels movies should actually be more violent, or rather, the violence should be truly realistic, like some guy gets in a fight and the next day, instead of just a little cut over his eye, he's got his jaw wired shut. The author feels that if violence is truly realistic and not stylized, it won't seem so exciting; it'll seem gruesome and disturbing. My classes disagreed; they felt people would just get desensitized to that new material, and I feel the same way. THat's pretty much what happens already.
