You know you are good when it comes to exercising.........

We were on vacation this weekend at a hotel and my 7 year old wakes me up at 7:00 and says " Mom, shouldn't you be getting down to the gym?"

My morning routine is a given at our house! I could relate to at least 90% of the other examples used. Glad I am not the only one addicted to exercise!

Keep it up!

when you can jump over your dogs and talk to your grandma on the phone while doing SB and you dont miss a step...

why the hell is it that my grandma always calls when i am working out?

When your dogs run like hell as soon as you pull out your step.

And when they finally get the courage to come back--you can do any of Cathe's step tapes while at simultaneously yelling "get down!" "Be quiet!" "Don't chew on that!" "Get the %$^% out of my way!"

When you can mentally write out your shopping list for the day and not miss a beat

When you can talk on the mobile, and the person on the other end doesnt relise your exercising orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr thinks your doing SOMETHING eles!

Hey Maximus, my cat LOVES the step so much, he'll sit right on top of it. Talk about TRUST that I wont "drop kick" him.

I now shut him out of the room, but hes always on the otherside meowing and scratching to get in.

LOL Marion! My poor little pug got stepped on at least 4 times before he learned!

Now as soon as I pull out that step his tail uncurls & he takes a powder..........

Along the lines of what Candi said...

...when your doctor/surgeon says, "You lifted HOW much 24 hours after your surgery?"

LOL...should have seen the look on his face when I told him I was doing PUB with matching weights of Cathe the day after my hand/wrist surgery. Today he put me in a 'wrist demobilizer'. Not so funny now?!?! LOL

..you are in your bosses office and "Buttercup" comes on the radio. Then your feet start automactically doing the "Buttercup" step routine, shuffles around the step and all.

Yes, that happened to me today. I was powerless over the movment of my feet! I guess that is my Cathe reflex!

...When your doctor checks your heart beat, then looks up and says, "Are you an athlete?" :) :) :)

RE: You know you are good when it comes to exercising.....

Great thread! I could relate with almost every one of these! I had a message on my answering machine from my MIL a few weeks back. She is hanging up and NOT leaving a message but I hear her say to my FIL, "She must be in the basement working out!" Actually, I wasn't home but she knows me well! :7 These were all fun to read. Keep on keepin' on everyone!

RE: You know you are good when it comes to exercising.....

Oh, I just remembered one...My daugher and I went back to a Foot Locker store about 2-3 months after we had been there together before. My daughter was going to return a pair of shoes that were coming apart and when we walked in, we said, We're not sure if you remember us or not?" and the gal said to me, "How could I forget those arms of yours!" I was shocked but it made my day. This was a couple years ago so I need to get back to getting those arms baaaack!

There was a recent thread about how people who don't use Cathe's workouts or who don't work out at all don't believe that Cathe kicks butt. So along those lines, I realized I am good when it comes to exercising when my hubby, who just started a workout program two weeks ago and whom I invited to use my Cathe DVDs said, "I don't want to do your workouts. You lift too much weight."

Okay, this actually made me sad. We were workout buddies once. And man, was he buff! The guy spends too much time tweaking software.

Also, my son said recently when I flexed my biceps: "I don't want to look at those. You look like a man."

No I don't. I look like what I've always wanted to be.:)

You know you are good..... when I pick up my son from school and the first thing out of this mouth isn't how was your day, but how was your workout mom... that is the first thing he says to me everytime I pick him up. But if it is my day off and I tell him that, he has the guts to ask if I am sure I need the day off. Brave soul he is!!

Charlotte, I can so relate! I am new here, but had to reply. My new puppy has to play tug of war with my pony tail while doing anything on the floor.
Also, my DH will call me at work to find out what my workout plans are, before he makes any dinner plans.
