DebraX
LOVE the latest pics! Your DD is just the cutest little thing- looks like her mommy! She adores the camera- perhaps a star in the making? Fun to see your BFF too- I bet you 2 are already planning the next party. ~ Hope kitty is all calmed down this morning- My kids don’t appreciate us laughing at them either! ~ How is that buttock today? I SWEAR Deb, you land on that poor tushie more than anyone I know! Remember last winter? I was going to come and take you out of that dangerous place you lived! ~ Great w/o… I don’t know what it is about Cathe’s weighted w/o’s but I can rarely match her weight AND do all her reps. I use to feel like a failure but have since realized that we all have muscles that will respond “differently”. I now determine before the workout if I want the endurance factor or strength factor and I select weights accordingly…

NicoleX
Hoping you are headache free and back pain free this morning! Have you taken any time off w/o’s or just done yoga for a week to see if that helps? You guys are as hot as we are! Where do you stand on the air conditioner? ~ I am so sorry about the weight gain-as you know I’ve been there many times..Once you get the poor eating out of the way and back to heavy weights it’ll just fall off.

Carol
Great job lowering your step height to save your legs! I actually stopped using any risers at all last year and found my body responded quite well. All my knee aches & pains went away and I was able to do the moves with much more focus and depth… ~That’s so funny about the R/T attire! We love our Cathe! ~ Your pics are awesome! Thank you for sharing those- You are just cute as can be!

TeddyGirl
^5 on completing StrikeZone! That’s such a fabulous workout… Good job my friend! Hope you slept well last night and the world looks brighter today.

WendyX
ROFL on the mystery trails! You sound like me! I am NOT the great explorer like the rest of the Xers…If it isn’t staring me in the face I don’t see it! LOVED the email… Had me cracking up – sorry to say none of it surprised me. ~ Depressed last week? Well I started off very down but I have seen with my mom what true depression is so that’s not at all what I was- I see how you got that impression tho as I was in a major FUNK & feeling very overwhelmed. If I were ever really depressed I’d hope I’d reach out as seclusion makes matters worse.

TracyX
WOOHOO!!!!!!! So great to see you check in! Your vacation sounds like leg torture! LOL. I’m sure you’re having a wonderful day after sleeping in a real bed. Miss you but know you are soaking up every minute of your vacation.

OK Gang- The tropical depression is already spreading some rain our way- Gotta time my errands today with bouts of dry/quiet weather….

Happy Day to all in Xer land!

:D

Me Back,

I got some GOOOODDD rest last night, walking for an 1 ½ really wiped me out, when I got back home, I immediately took 2 pills jumped in the tub and I was in the bed by 9 and sleep before 9:30, I only woke up once:p

This morning, I did P90X Chest Back did not have time to do ARX that’s tonight, maybe even get in a cardio, I shall see.

Morning Ladies,

Rotation: Cathe July '07
Workout: Week 4/Day 2/PUB Up Only Premix plus Abs w/Ball

Yesterdays workout didn't go all that well. I could only get through the 2 step sections. I started coughing and couldn't stop. :( We lost all our games last night in volleyball, and to top it off I think I sweated myself dry! :D I had sand in places that I can't even mention. But I think all the sweating helped this cold a bit. Today I feel much better.

Anointed, So glad that you had a good nights sleep.

Debra, You always make me smile with your animal stories. Hope that butt of yours isn't too sore today.

Wendy, We don't have any trails around us that I know of. Maybe I should start looking around my neighborhood. Like you I don't go exploring all that much. You should have gotten my e-mail this morning. :D Yes, I'm a bad girl and forget things. Remember I'm older now and my memory..... what was I talking about? :7

Tracy, Sounds like you are having a great time on your vacation. I bet that shower and bed felt great. ;-)

Carol, I always use a 6" step. My knees don't like anything higher. :) Love the pics you posted. Your little ones are cutie pies.

Traci, PlyoX and CTX Kickboxing! You are one for punishment aren't you. How many plyo scissors does Cathe do in that one. Isn't it like 32 on each leg! :D I have to say that it is one of the best 30 min kickboxing workouts. I have never thought to add that onto PlyoX though. :D

Cheryl, Ok now I feel like we all are left out of some things. :D Oh to have Cathe for a whole weekend of exercise advise. Must have been great to here what she recommended.

Nicole, We only had the humidity yesterday, but add 100 degree's with humidity and that must have been miserable. I'm with Traci, did you get your AC fixed? I remember something about it not working at some point. How's the headache today?

Have to get to work,

Laurie

Good morning Xers:

Today was LowMax step only premix and then the Blast only premix for 61 minutes. Great way to do this workout! The time trial went well last night. No personal best at all as there was quite a wind coming back, but I met my goal of pushing hard, but not too hard to where I lost power. I was pleased and think I even spotted you girls along the route. We had 3 ladies there and about fellas I think so a decent showing.

I'll be leaving in the morning for Hood River, Oregon for our ladies cycling/hiking/shopping/eating/drinking trip. Won't be back until Monday evening so I'll post probably on Tuesday morning.

Laurie, glad you are feeling better. I love purple also. Looks good on this more olive skinned gal. Nice to receive flowers, isn't it? What a sweetie your DH is. I know about the deep voice thing when I have a cold. Funny that your boss thought you were your DH. The stove placing went wonderfully. DS didn't show up to help DH as he's sick, but DH had it all put in place when I got home from the time trial last night. He used a pulley system to get it up the few steps from the garage into the house and then put it on rollers to roll it thru the kitchen and living room. He then rolled it up a plywood ramp and set it in place. My sister said he would have made a good Hebrew slave! It looks wonderful sitting on the new tile. I'm so pleased! And no broken tiles either. Glad I wasn't home to see him do all of that.

Wendy, enjoyed your email to me about the road trip. Thanks for sharing. I just can't believe the insecurities some people have. Hey we all have them, hopefully we realize it and try to improve. Glad you didn't let it get you down. Thanks so much for the good thoughts along the way of the time trial. I really felt your presence and it was almost enjoyable (in a sick kind of way). When DH built the hearth he made a really good frame for it, he way overbuilds most things. Deflection stuff, hey, you lost me there. But he's really confident the 2x6's and where he placed them will hold up. Better! I was so relieved that poor Phil doesn't have to remove the grout. No way in he!! that my DH would ever do that. Glad the haze came out. Is the kitchen near completion? Completed already? Pictures please and I will get a picture of the hearth when the stovepipe is connected. Glad you aren't sore. You probably underestimate what good shape you really are in.

Traci, way to go on the 1# lost. You made me smile because sometimes I'll put all of my cares into my cupped hands and then let them fall to the ground and give them to the big guy too. Your first client is one lucky, lucky girl!!! I hope she knows that. Pyramids sound good to me. My next rotation will be with heavier weights, probably will start next week. This current rotation has helped my cardio endurance for sure. Thanks for the good vibes for the time trial and stove placement. Worked for sure!!! I agree, I was looking for your picture on the website. Are you planning on adding it? I think you should, you look awesome!

Cheryl, great workout for you. I love B&G! Please tell us what was said about the lower body pooch and menopause and all. I would be very interested. Did she recommend more abwork than every other day?

Nicole, did the chiro fix you up? How are you feeling this morning. Hope the headache is gone. Really, the tiling was fun (in another sick sort of way too) with my DH. Once we figured out our strengths, weaknesses, it all worked well. I'm thinking of doing the main bathroom next year and the bathtub sourround, not that I'm so experienced LOL! It's really not difficult at all. Thanks for the good wind vibes, unfortunately, it was windy, but a successful TT for me anyways.

Carol, so great to have you on here!!!! It's a great check in, love it so much! I'm really not training for anything in particular right now. Our bike club does monthly time trials (12 miles long) and hill climbs. I'm just trying to not lose what I do have so usually ride 2-3 times a week. Hope you enjoyed Bootcamp yesterday. I did it last week and it felt pretty darned good. Did abwork afterwards. Loved your pictures. My sister went to England/Scotland a few years ago, loved it!

Debra, how is the butt today from falling down? Hope it's not too sore. Any kind of a fall is a jolt to the system for sure. Heck, when I almost fall or slip or something, adrenaline immediately runs to my hands, making them all tingly. That happen to anyone else? Did you take a picture of your cat? I'd love to see.

Tracy, good to hear from you, sounds like you are having a great time!

Hey, I'm out of time and I haven't finished. I'll have to get back on tonite, though I have a busy one planned.

I'll be leaving in the morning and won't be back on until Monday night or Tuesday morning. Will miss you guys!

Jeanette

Jeanette X: workout today was very creative, nice! If I don’t speak to you later on today; have a GREAT time :D cycling/hiking/shopping/eating/drinking trip that’s a mouth full. Be safe. I had to go back and look at your pictures once more, you look great.

LaurieX: Don’t sweat it your still a winner in my book. Maybe you should get a little more rest, I did last night and got up ready to bring it, was not my best work but I guess I need to build my strength back up.

Why did boss man hafta put dog gone chocolate cup cakes in kitchen with MM w/nuts. I’m going to wrap me a few up for later on, don’t tell.

Good morning chickadees! Just wanted to pop on to say hello...DD and I are getting ready to go out for a late breakfast and to get a hummingbird feeder. Yoga is on the books for me today. I will be glad to be standing up since my buttock hurts pretty bad! *^%$&# dog!!! I have a huge lump in my right cheek...it hasn't bruised yet, but it is going to be a monster when it does! Okay...bbl to catch up a bit.

What’s all this mambo jumbo about new software and downloads and not being able to use or purchase Cathe’s workout DVDs

Please someone explain. Will we be forced to buy MP3 players blah…blah…will I be able to use DVD player. I haven’t a clue and not technically minded, still learning how to work cable :+

Jeanette, everyone, here goes about what was said about lower body pooch in the RT presentation:

the woman was Cynthia something and she's on the staff of AFAA. She spoke twice. The first was on proper exercise form and how to avoid exercise induced injury. Interesting but not earth-shattering.

The second presentation she gave was by far the most interesting. She talked about why the tendency for weight gain and lower belly pooch in age 40+ women and how to combat it.

Much of it was factors we already know - hormonal issues, loss of muscle mass, etc., etc., but a couple of things were somewhat newe to me. She said that if the posture slumps at all (due to tight chest, sitting slumped, etc.) there is less room for internal organs and the lower belly pooch is actually the intestines being pushed forward -

So it's more important than we even realized to stand up straight, shoulders back, and work all of the core and abdominal muscles that serve as the "girdle" to hold those internal organs in. Also, she recommended we work shoulders and upper back 3x for every 1x we work chest - tight chest muscles or overdevelopment of chest compared to shoulders/back can pull the posture forward and serve to exascerbate (sp?) the tendency for lower belly pooch. A lot to think about.

Also, she pointed out that with estrogen levels declining, testosterone can become "dominant" leading to mid belly fat (like men get) for the first time in life... and that is the visceral fat that not only looks ugly at the waistline but puts our health at bad risk. Yuck! I never really thought about it that way... we look at the symptoms of menopause and low estrogen, but it bringing testosterone into the dominant position can be a problem as well. Very interesting.

Have a great morning, everyone!
MuscleMax UB premix for me this morning, 45 min.

Good morning ladies!

Drill Max in its entirety this AM. I needed a Cathe w/o to kick me in the butt. I’ve been resting since getting back home.

I am out from under the laundry pile and the mowing. Whew! Day off work today. Expecting MIL, BIL for a visit tonight.

BIL is in from CA, and leaving woman #1 and #2 out of this visit. Let me explain - Recently BIL married woman #2 (She's English- to retain US citizenship ). BIL and #1 were in a long term relationship prior to woman #2. Both are interested in woman #2 for their own. Woman #2 younger (by 6 and 10 yrs) than BIL and woman #1. Some might consider this a perfect relationship, IMO waaaaayyyyy too complicated. DH thinks it’s every man’s dream. What’s up with that?

Debra – sorry to hear of your bump on the bottom. I recall roller blading down a smoooootthhh asphalt hill in town and stopping using both bum cheeks. The results were amazing NOT! OUCH! Your rotation is so great. I really hope to wrap my head around the what and why of rotations in the upcoming months so that I can create a few of my own. Post pics of tumbled rocks! Any plans on making them into jewelry or art or just gazing stones?

TraciX – The website is gorgeous. Wowzer! Missed you during your hammer/nailing period. Glad you are back! The guns did stir up quite a few comments. Too bad I didn’t have any real w/o advice for the lovely ladies. It’s a genetic thing mostly. I do recall way back in the 90's when working out in a class setting the instructor would be using 8#. saying to myself I'll never use anything more than 5#’s. Now that Cathe has shown me the way I can do so much more. It’s really a mind over matter situation. Which surely you know from all your experience. I'm dreaming of another P90X.

Wendy – Never tried the levitation hold. It would be too much stress on my right forearm/hand injury. Congrats to you for attempting and completion on your hold - ^5! Thank you very much for removing the pic. Checked the pics of your walk with Jen. What are you wearing on your feet girl? Sandals? For a walk? ROFL on that e-mail recount of the RT. I’m so sorry the roomsharing thing didn’t work. I on the other hand sent my roomie a personal thank you for her loveliness (PWMat). Love her! I did run over a very small snake (sad) yesterday while mowing. Phil sure is a sweetie! Happy to meet him.

TG – Shouldn’t you be feeling better by now? Are you drinking plenty of water to rinse those meds out of your system? Take care!

Sandra – Do you run everyday? Don’t you love getting the wo in before the DH leaves? I’m an AM exerciser for sure! I keep looking at your cakes – I’m mentally preparing for baking one for DD’s upcoming picnic/party next weekend. Your crown gave me an idea to create a hamburger cake as the theme is “picnic”.

Tracy – I am so dreaming of being on your hiking adventures with you. Hiking in the west is one of the top 10 best things I’ve ever done! DH stay at home? I relayed to my DH regarding DS spot in the Scottish bike race/team. He was interested and impressed. Says DS name should be published in VELO news, do you think? Ahhhh, soak in that shower a real long time! You deserve it.

Nicole – Super workout complete. Imax 3 is so exhilarating and exhausting. I agree with cutting yourself slack on completing what you can do comfortably without hurting yourself.

Carol- Love your pictures! The kids are absolutely precious! Welcome to the x’ers check-in. Glad to hear you had a great RT!

AmyX – What’s on your itinerary today? Have you seen the Liberty Bell? Glad to hear the taxi incident was not a “real” accident. Drivers! Humpf! Enjoy yourselves!!!!! Love those pics of you on the posts. I’m going to check T-nation out – as I had not heard of it before you.

Netta – Calm winds to you! How did the TT pan out? I’m green with envy on all the riding you do. When I do the intense riding my legs turn into strong pillars of muscle. I could not have kept up with Cathe without riding. The weather here has cooled ,plans are riding this weekend. DH and I are off to camping and riding sans DD. Do you really focus on the up and down push to enhance your calves? I love, love, love riding. What type of shoe(s) do you wear? I'm considering a new pair.

Cheryl – Nice to meet you! The white blouse worn to Adelphia’s - Fabulous look on you! That style has always been a favorite of mine too. The heavy pullovers and abs sounds like a plan! Running partner? Lucky you. Only partner I can find where I live is a deer or squirrel.

Laurie – Summer is not a time for colds. Get rid of that thing. Sounds to me you are quite a toughie playing v-ball in humidity while recovering from illness. Now that’s a team player! Sorry about the loss. Flowers, pins, flowers – aren’t families wonderful!

Sorry for missing anyone here. Hugs to all. Catch up with you later.Have a super duper day! Got to go get a shower.

Oh and - DD is now hand feeding Derek, the mini-rat, out of her hand! It’s pretty amazing how smart those buggers are. His favorite are grapes and sunflowers. :7

Good Morning Ladies!!!!

My car is in the shop getting inspected. Yes, that had run out last month. I thought I'd not push it and wait till next year! ;-)

TraciX:) Am I reading this correctly? You're planning on doing KB AND Plyo? Are you having a mini RT in your mind??? LOL I'm so glad you read my latest email in the spirit it was written... superficial!}( You are so correct about food being critical for results. When talking to Cathe, I realized that if I ever wanted to get better results, I'd have to clean up my diet big time, and I'm NOT willing to go there yet. I'd like to think that one day I'll wake up and say today's the day! I'm can do this! I can search high and low for clean eating, good tasting recipes. I can shop for them and cook them. Maybe, one day! :)

Annointed:) Don't you just love ARX? }( I often skipped it, didn't push myself, or did part of it. Yet, what I did of it, helped develop a stronger core. Glad you were able to visit dreamland last night!

LaurieXX:) I was wondering how you did last night playing with a cold. I think you won just by getting out there and doing it with a cold!!! While walking the trails, I kept wondering if I was trespassing over private property! Maybe, someone in your neighborhood has a hilly terrain you can use.:7 ;)

JeanetteX:) You're leaving? AGAIN! I'll miss you!!! So you were hallucinating again last night.:p }( :7 ;) I knew you could do your best! Do your best and forget the rest!:) LOL about have a sick kind of feeling about me! LOL I have that effect on people! After the RT, Jenn was thinking about me doing levitation holds. So, she tried and did it too....in the bath tub!!! She got that "I'm thinking about Wendy in the bathtub EWWWW" sick kind of feeling too!:7 :+ Glad to know you were fully dressed when I came into your mind! Oh! Yeah, we all have issues. I guess I was just startled by the overt fakeness! Phil tells me to just let it go. He's so laid back and easy going. On the way home, I was reflecting on it and a car passed by with hand scribbled message on the back window, "Smile and honk!" It instantly put a smile on my face and made me appreciate all that was wonderful and think on the good and positive! I wish I could be like that 100% of the time! Sounds to me that your dh knows what he's doing!!! Those tiles will be standing unbroken should a tornado ever tear down the surrounding structure that is your home!:7 Oh! Plueeze! Kitchen done? HA-HA Phil thought he could get away with not finishing it for my birthday and get me an ipod instead! No way I was going to let him off that easy. I told him I could wait for an ipod. I can't wait much longer for a kitchen!!! I promise pictures as soon as he puts the finishing touches.

DebraX:) You silly woman! I do get out! To my defense, the trails are located on a winding road without anywhere safe to walk. It's also not clearly marked from the road. Meaning there's no paved or gravel parking or drive, the sign sits below the road's level, and I never see anyone there. I always thought it was someone's private property. I hope your butt feels better soon! I once had a bruise that covered an entire buttock cheek. I got it from the bunny trails. Never tried to learn how to ski afterwards!!! Have fun shopping for a feeder.

Cheryl:) You have such a good memory! Thanks for sharing the speaker's highlights. I must have walked in when she started talking about posture. Very informative!

Well ladies, I'm off to get some cleaning done. I haven't decided what w/o I'll do tonight.

BBL for more personals. Hi to all who follow!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Good Morning, Ladies ~ :)

Ok, Wendy has been telling me to join you all, I am mainly a lurker, as I am not good at writing or keeping up w/ all the personnals, so I'm going to apoligize in advance. :)

I did own P90X, but after 3-weeks of the rotation decided to sell it on the Ya's Ya's...Now of course I am regreting it. Hopefully by the time you all do your 2nd round I will have purchased it again. :)
I am going to start a S&H rotation next week. Any one up for joining me?

Wendy~ Oh, thanks!! Yep, could do Levitation holds in the bathtub, I know scary!!! :) You should of waited a few more months for your inspection like you did for your registration.... :)

Haven't had the energy to work out yet this week. I am still overly exhausted from the RT, she kicked are Arse, BIG TIME!!! :)
Probably throw some cardio and abs in tonight.

BBL, Hope I can keep up w/ you all. :)

Now my fave quote; Per Wendy; :)

PS All Upper Body Workouts (87 min)

Hey Gals,

Long workout this morning. I'm looking to kill my back:D

My headache is gone from Motrin but had a bit of a cry last night so I'm tired this morning. I think my thyroid meds are out of whack because I always get a little more emotional than usual if they are. Just depressed about my weight. I hope to rectify that soon but it's just overwhelming right now. My poor DH:( He has to listen to my emotional blabber:p

I'll bbl for personals. PS here I come! Burn baby, burn!

Nicole

Hi Ladies ~ :)

Just got back into work from running my daughter around on my lunch break. My friends think I'm crazy how I give into my children the way I do!
Downing a SF Red Bull and Snickers Bar ....I know horrible, but I really needed some energy, I am really down and out these past few days!!! I guess not getting much sleep over the weekend takes a huge toll on you, plus being off all week and having to come back to work...Not good... :(

Traci-X ~ Hope your DOMS let up through-out the day, but you gotta Love em'.... Everytime I get good DOMS I know I pushed to my max!
Ewww... Rain! Stay Dry. We need some good rain around here, but I don't mind it holding off as long as possible! :)

Annointed ~ I'm glad you got a great nights sleep last night! Great Job on Chest & Back. When having P90X that wasn't my fave DVD. I guess I was imtimdated w/ all the pushups/pullups...I think this was the main cause of selling! I love ARX (Still have this one)....Sometimes I dread doing it b/c Tony does work you hard!! :) Back away from the cupcakes ... LOL :) I'm with you their, I am a big time carb junkie...Their is always some type of goodies in our office...Not good, b/c if it's their I will eat until they are gone! :9 I'm w/ you on all the mumbo, jumbo about the new software...I don't even own a Ipod, I guess I really need to buy one! Not good w/ all the technical stuff, hell I don't even know how to work my Heart Rate Monitor...but I guess it would help to read the instructions...I'm the lazy one... :)

Laurie ~ Glad your feeling better today! Reminds me of a time when I was taking a Yoga Class, I started coughing and couldn't stop, a little embarrassing, considering how quiet it is when your in a Yoga Class ... :) How are you enjoying Cathe's July '07 Rotation? I am looking to do a S&H rotation starting on Monday.

Jeanette ~ Great workout today. I LOVE LowMax, one of my favorites. I will have to try that order in doing the workout, sounds like alot of fun! I know the Blast only premix will keep my butt :) Have a Great Trip, sounds like fun! :)

Debra ~ Hope you have a great day out w/ DD! Hope your butt feels better :) I fell years ago on my Butt and it's still hurts at times, really messed up my tailbone, Not a good thing.

Cheryl ~ Thanks for the breakdown of the presentation. I guess Wendy and I missed alot of it....It was probably during our many trips to Dunkin Donuts....... :) Wendy!!!! :) LOL Nice meeting you on the RT.... I don't know if you remember me or not!

Amy~ It was great meeting you on the RT. I am glad you made it home okay. Sorry If I confused you towards the turnpike area of Rte 76....Someone cut my off and I was beeping away at them! I then realized where we were and waved goodbye!! :)
Great workout today....I sold my Drill Max, I only did it a few times since having it so decided to sell...Yep, now of course I regret selling and will probably purchase again once my finances are straightened out! :) Have a Great Day off today... :)

Wendy ~ I know I'm a sick woman, thinking of you while in the bathtub, but I promise you it wasn't all like that :p When are we going to see pics of the kitchen? Take away girl...I live 20 mins from you and still haven't seen it, what's up with that.... LOL :) (Just Kiddin')

Nicole ~ Sounds like you had a killer workout this morning, what did you do? I am glad your feeling better!!

BBL ~ Better get some work done, feels like I haven't did anything since being here all day :)

Good Afternoon (already?!) Ladies!

I'm off in a few minutes to tackle GS Chest & Triceps.

Wendy -- Will you be picking MOH 2 back up this fall? Our usual schedule is history 2-3 days/wk and science 2-3 days/wk, depending. Next week we will start a human body study (8 weeks long) that will be 3 days/wk so history will only be 2 days/wk. I don't want the kiddos to get burnt out (or me for that matter!) Ah, car inspections, something I don't miss about PA. What a pain. I hope your car passes no problem.

Debra -- Yup, this was my first RT. I hadn't even heard of Cathe in '05 (I know, that's blasphemous around here, lol!) VERY fun, though :D

TraciX -- I do try to listen to my body :) I generally don't have any problems, but the last two times I've done Step Blast, I've had weird pain in my IT band in my left knee on the combo (3rd maybe?) with the the sets of triples around the step. I do triples around the step in plenty of other workouts with no problem, so I don't know what the issue is with that particular combo...

Laurie -- I hope you're feeling better soon! I hate coughing...

Jeanette -- Your bike club sounds cool :D I'd love to have something like that around here, but with little kids, it's hard to find time to get out.

Anointed -- I was reading over on the Ask Cathe forum that we'd be able to run the software/downloaded workouts from your PC as long as you have a video output (most newer ones do) and a cheapo cable. I may be going that route as I don't have an Ipod and really don't have a need or desire for one.

Amy -- Thanks for the welcome :) It sounds like your family situation is quite complicated, lol! Great job with Drill Max this morning, that's always so tough on my shoulders.

Jenn -- Nice to "see" you over here :D I'll be doing the Gym Styles for one more week, then S&H for 2 weeks, so I'll be joining you if you're still doing it then.

Nicole - That sounds like some workout! I hope you can move tomorrow, lol!!

Ok, I gotta get going or I'll lose my nerve to do all those pushups ;-)

Carol

Hey Carol ~ It was so nice to meet you at the RT. :)
Can you post a Rotation that you will be doing? I would love to join you! I promised myself my eating will be 100% better too (I Hope)... :)
Ewwww. GS, Chest...Oh boy, this is tough! Good Luck! I really need to practice on my push-ups, not a strong point for me!

Carol: I don’t think I like the ideal of downloading, I know technology is changing so fast, I really like doing all my workouts from a DVD and VCR, yeah! I still use my VCR, duh.

So you mean, I would have to use my PC Monitor too do my workouts? duh ;-) Thank you

Add-on
I couldn’t help it. I just RAAAAAAAAAN in the kitchen and eat 1/2 a cup cake all I wanted to do was taste/smell the icing so buttery, so...so... buttery I mean buttery, Ooh we :p I think I was pretty good, in a situation like this I'd had stood there and eaten 3 back to back ;) I did good, I only ate the icing and I took a few bits of the cake, and then ran for my life:) :) I feel so happy about that la...la..la..la:7

Where is Amy?

Hi to all...finally back for a few personals...we ended up going to the next town over and I went to one of the bike stores where I needed to go. I ended up getting a couple of pairs of looser bike shorts, an odometer, a pack to hold my cell, etc., a water bottle holder, and a mirror for my glasses. Thanks a lot Jeanette! Then we went and got a feeder for these crazy hummingbirds who keep coming up and looking in our windows. Have to make some nectar for them tonight. It's so hot again here today...just yucky outside. I am heading up to have Eion put some nectar on my hips in a bit.

I don't have time to get to everyone now, but I will bbl to catch up with the rest of you....I promise!

Teddygirl...I know what you mean about the technology...It seems like it's easier to me to put in a dvd...but then a few months ago, I didn't know how to use my MP3 player either...and now I love it.

Jenn....Welcome to our merry group of women. No cat fighting here! I love a woman who admits to having a red bull and a snickers for lunch...we must be kindred spirits! I am always sleep deprived for some reason...probably because I would get 10 hours a night and still want more. It sounds like you keep selling dvds and then regretting it...lol. You must hold onto them for years and then do a clearance sale like the rest of us.

Carol...I didn't start doing Cathe until '05 either...don't feel bad. I forgot that there wasn't a RT last year due to Cathe's injury. I did GS C&T yesterday...and even though I was not nearly close in weights to Cathe, my chest is really feeling it today...good luck! Did you and then kids take a homeschooling break over the summer? If so, when do you guys start back?

Nicole...You poor emotional wreck....just kidding!! Sorry to hear you were feeling a little hormonal yesterday...don't get down about your weight...First of all, you look great! Second of all, we do what we can do each day to make ourselves into the person we want to be...so tomorrow is another day...and you can't change the past. Thirdly, you finished the X...you're as strong as a bull!! Okay...enough from the cheering section. Glad to hear your head is a bit better. I'm sure you'll feel even better after another tweak.

Tracy...So glad to see you pop on last night! The planets really are back! I am sure you guys are having a blast...but I personally could not go that long without private indoor facilities!

Cheryl...Thank you so much for all the the information. Did she happen to mention any sources for this? I would like to do a little more reading if I knew where to look. Hope your workout was a fun one today!

Okay...gotta go for now...Eion is waiting. DD and I are meeting my mom for dinner tonight, so I need to get my sore butt in gear. BBL to catch up with the rest of you.

later gators...

Debra

Hi Ladies!!!

I've been playing on OD today!

AmyX I about fell over when I saw how long your post was today! Who are you? And what did you do to my Amy?:7 :7 :7 I know you could do a levitation hold if tried! I saw your body! You're core is probably as strong if not stronger than your biceps!!! Oh! You're right about stressing your arm. I bet you could do it with one hand! ;-) You never know! Yes, I thought about putting tennis shoes on for our walk. I figured doing so would mean I'd have to really walk!!!! :p I LOVED your roommate. She was so sweet when I mistook her for you! You two must be twins separated at birth!!! The picture is no longer there! Thanks for being a good sport about me posting it (ie. not killing me!). Ewww! I'm not very scared of snakes, but I'd be scared to run over one. Did I read that right? Your BIL basically has two women in his life? Is this at the same time? Phil says that I'm more than enough for him to handle. Good answer!!!:7 I've gotta do laundry too. Wait! I have children! Where are they when I need them!:7

Jenn About time you've stopped lurking on this board in an effort to catch up on my life! You've finally come to the dark side !!!:7

NicoleX Oh! I hope you got the tears out of your system. Get those meds checked! My sister tried some for her thyroid and they made her WORSE (if that was even possible). Instead of getting them adjusted, she just stopped taking them. Um, I don't recommend you do that!!! Awww, well, isn't that what husbands are for... reassuring you that they love you and you're beautiful in their eyes!

Carol I was just talking to my long time homeschooling friend about history. I think I'll have eldest use MOH Vol.2 and the twins use SOTW. The twins get that glazed look in their eyes if I don't translate it into words they can understand. I don't want them to hate history since it's such a cool subject. The mechanic told me that my car failed the emissions test. Did you know we have to have two stickers on our car now (inspection + emission)? So, it looks like at least $250 after all is said and done depending on how bad my fumes are. That stinks!!!

TeddyGirl! I never found out if you want me to refer to you as TG or Annointed. Which one? From my understanding, you would download the workouts onto your computer. Then you could mix and match different parts of it to create your own personal premix. Afterwards, you would put it on your MPeg4 ipod. The ipod would be plugged into your tv using a cable just like a dvd. So think of the ipod as a dvd. Clear as mud?

DebraX! I'm so jealous of your biking spending spree! Now that you're all decked out in biking apparel, do you plan on going biking anytime soon?;-)

Time's up! Gotta get dinner together!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!!!
Wendy

Well, I survived GS C&T, but boy am I shaky now, lol!! I did manage a personal best on the pushups and eeked out 57 on my toes :D :D :D My weights aren't nearly as good as they used to be since I haven't lifted heavy in months, but I gotta start somewhere. I tacked on seg. 1 of Core Max and called it a day!

Jenn -- This week (and next), I'm focusing on the Gym Styles. I follow a generic rotation that's a bit P90X-ish. Monday was GS BSB, yesterday was RS, today was GS C&T, tomorrow is my scheduled rest day, Friday will be GS Legs and Saturday will be Cardio Coach. Next week it'll be similar. After next week, I'll be focusing on the S&H series again, but subbing B&G for S&H Legs & Back. I emailed you my generic rotation and if you didn't get it, I'll send it again :) I, too, struggle in the eating cleanly department, but this week has been better (so far!)

Anointed -- You could (in theory) have a cable long enough to go from your computer into your TV so that your computer would send the video output to your TV and you'd work out like usual. Technology CAN be very confusing.

Debra -- We were not intending to have any more vacation than the 3 weeks in June DH and I were abroad, but due to life getting in the way, they've had more time off than that, lol. Last week was a good week, this week is light and we'll be starting back "for real" on Monday.

Wendy -- To save your sanity, here's a cool link that you can use that combines SOTW w/MOH: http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/SOTWmenu.htm which is what I'm doing (only using Vol. 1). I find it makes it much easier to teach everyone the same thing. I know what you mean about the glazed over look with MOH, my 6yo does that, lol. My almost 9yo loves it, though, so we use them both. I also think the SOTW activity guide is great, too :) As for the inspection, we always had to have both stickers (we lived in Bucks Co, is it that way throughout the whole state now?), so I feel your pain on that one. It's really just legalized extortion, lol!

I hope you all have a great evening!!

Carol
