It’s a lovely Saturday QUIET morning with just Sandy and I! Its so weird as she and I are the ones up so early every day yet when we’re alone we both sleep in until 5 or 530am! Must be the testosterone energy that makes us not sleep well!

Excited to get to workouts today… I think I am going to start with Yoga for my warm-ups and see if that helps get those juices flowing and finish it all up with Yoga later in the day.

Interesting things happening already with the universal plan for my career direction…. (I had vowed to “allow” the best to transpire and not push my agenda!) Sitting in waiting area at my Drs yesterday I met a woman who started telling me that she and GF had just lost their PFT because of scheduling conflicts… We talked and I told her I was meeting with a PR friend I have next week to get my business cards, brochures, fees etc…. together and she gave me her business card and said call me next week! My Drs office also had PT as part of their business and the NP I saw yesterday told me that in a few months they were losing their in-house trainer…. She asked: “Can you be patient until we are ready to find a replacement?” YES- Things work out MUCH better when I allow good things to flow! I am also contacting (later next week) the man that owns a studio where I use to SPIN at … He has a small gym attached where he offers PT but he was doing it himself…. If nothing else I’m open to free Spin classes as exchange for a bit of PT.

DebraX~ YIPPEE you’re in contact range!!!! I hope all is well and that you and DH have had a blast on vacation. Cant wait to hear if he liked the house you bought him! LOL

Amy~ Very good to see you! WOW you have been a busy bee this week! Your workout at the gym sounds excruciating! Congrats on the new dishwasher! It took me 2 years to convince DH that regardless of marketing you have to rinse dishes somewhat prior to placing in machine. We only run it 1x a week so all the gook would sit and he couldn’t figure out why I made him re-wash- after all it WAS a new brand?!?! MEN! Lololol

Cheryl~ {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SSC}}}}}}}}}}}}} What a time you are having this month. I am so very sorry! The only saving grace is that you know you’ll wake up in a day or 2 feeling like a million bucks and ready to take on the world! I had my 6 month check with Dr yesterday and we are having to increase my Thyroid & Cortisol again… She said that I was as depleted as anyone she has ever seen. We should have our Drs talk… we are medical miracles it seems with how much we accomplished with hard workouts & full lives all this time! Feels FABULOUS to feel like I am getting back to my old self (wiser tho!) Funny about Wendell and hamstring… as you know I have a long history in fitness/health industry yet once I got certified he started asking for advice and actually taking it! I guess he thought I didn’t know what I was talking about before!

Caught up with all the rest yesterday…. Have a great morning all & I’ll be around today.

Good Morning!!! It's great to see you this morning, Traci. I guess that I hadn't picked up on the fact that you and Sandy were flying solo this weekend!

My shift is done, so I'm heading for home!

Hi Saturday folks,

I'm going riding shortly. It is a beautiful day here. I was so tired last night I was asleep at 8:30. Maybe I'm not eating enough. I think that I'll increase my calorie intake by a couple hundred calories, even though I don't consciously count calories.

I run our dishwasher sometimes twice a day. I still have to get most of the crud off first. My only complaint about ours it that it is so low to the ground, but that is so that you can put tall stuff in it. It's fine except when your back is bothering you. DS friend said they have one with a garbage disposal in it, but it doesnt' work well. If I put dishes in the DW with food on them the dogs would be in a fight to lick every speck off.

Traci - I have no doubt that you will quickly build up your business. You are so enthusiatic and I'm sure will be dedicated to working with your clients. It sounds exciting to launch something new that you are really interested in. Sorry about DH hamstring. I did that several years ago and the recovery to run was long.

Amy - Glad you had time to check in. The workout at the gym sounds great! Keep working on the pull/chin ups. They do really good things in minimal amounts of time.

Debra - Are you getting settled in? I bet the house looks great!

Cheryl - There is always another day for a workout. Sometimes I am so tired the day TTOM comes I just can't do a workout.

Sandra - Wondering how your lazy day went. DH and family were going to Texas for his father's class reunion. I got out of that from the get go, but my SIL didn't. The trip was cancelled because of health reasons and she was so funny. She said she really had to be careful to contain the happiness she felt that the trip was cancelled. My DH & her DH were really upset.

Completed Ellen Barrets Yoga/Pilates Mix as warm-up then did yesterdays Chest (APX + GS) then decided to go ahead and do Shoulders today (starting new week) using SJP, DrillMax, BM2 as pre-exhaust and ending with CTX. That’s a nice mix of exercises plus varied counts … nice burn.

After AM personals going to start Lower Body Firming and BBC TM from arms/abs then will stretch with PY4H Magically Hips. LOVE single weekends when I can workout at my leisure!

Amy~ Have a good sleep day and hope work-time is good for staying on track with food plan.

TracyX~Isnt it great going to bed early and waking up so refreshed? Very happy that your day is starting off w/ beautiful biking weather! LOL on dogs/dishwasher licking! I’m right with ya on that one! Thanks for kind words about the new business…. I am so looking forward to doing something that I believe in… LOL on secret happy dances for cancelled trip to Texas!

Back after my body is ready for a break!

Hi, everyone!

Traci, you made my day with the wonderful news about your PT career progress. Yes, sometimes you need to just let it be and let the universe guide the way. YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The yoga sounds really nice.

You are right, I feel so much better today!
I did MIS, 70 minutes, followed by 40 minutes of MIC, so I got both strength and cardio and a nice double workout this morning to help make up for lost time. I'm happy.

Amy, sounds like you're headed for a nice weekend, I'm glad!!

Tracy, glad you're feeling better and that you have nice weather for a ride! I hope it goes well.

Here's to a wonderful Saturday, everyone!!

Cheryl

Hi all,

My bike ride was very pleasant and I rode 41 miles. I think I'll go farther next week because I felt good the entire time; unlike last week. I rode in the morning and no matter what I think I have trained myself to like, I am still best in the am. I wish that I could still workout in the morning, but I am trying to get to work at 6:30 or before to take advantage of flex hours. I could go in later, but would then spend much more time sitting in traffic and that is not worth it. I got to work in 1/2 the usual time on Friday and was able to leave at 1.

Traci - That sounds like a lot for shoulders. After doing ME yesterday, I was reminded of the burn feel when doing endurance training. It is almost a mind over matter thing. I'm doing legs 2x per week and strictly following any one of Cathe's leg workouts and then cardio 3x, but will increase to 4 once I get my eliptical, which is supposed to be delivered on Tuesday:)

Cheryl - MIS and 40 minutes of MIC in one day is a tough workout. I know how you feel about catching up though. I hate MIC, but do it occassionally. I hate that kind of hi/lo and the step is so repetitive, but it works.

Jeanette- Are you out there? You know what I hate is the arrogance of some road bikers. Most are nice and polite, but every now and then, like today, I come across some real A holes! They went flying by me when me and a couple others were coming to a road crossing and about to go around a man with one of those tag along bike strollers, and then stop 150 yards ahead right in the middle of the trail and make everyone stop. I'm almost said something but didn't.

Amy - I hope you make good use of your time off. What workout do you have planned?

Hi to Sandra and Nicole, and anyone else I missed.

Well, off to clean a little, which I also hate. I've spent enough time on the computer.

Hi all you wonderful dedicated xer's! Checking in -2 weeks of the X under my belt done since my last post.
Wow! It's Phs3/ wk 9/ day 6/ kenpox.
I spent time catching up reading your posts during that time and can tell I am in the right place with you girls. I missed TTOM for April and May. First time ever in my 30 + yrs of having a period. Then bam! Saturday of last week it came. The fatigue and grouchies hit hard.
I toughed week 8 (recovery) wk. It felt hard and I was miserable.
Week 9 was tough physically and mentally. The adjustment trying to focus on something other than the pain of the wo's was killer.
Today Kenpo was like butter. I enjoyed it and was smiling again!
I tacked on 15 mile bike rides with DD attached to bike 3 x week during doubles. The weather is so gorgeous here I can't stand to be in the basement with Cardiox.:-( So glad TTOM is gone for now.
There are so many times I want to sit down and post but don't make the time for it. HOnestly, I want to be better at it. ;-)
Always excited to hear from all you xer's. Keep up the great work.
I must be heading out. It's time to hang more laundry, cook, relax, garden, read, find a recipe for chicken, feta, pasta salad, on, and on. Have a most excellent day.:)
Oh, my wrist has somehow healed to 90%. It's a relief to be able to type without the pain. And pull ups and push ups and down dogs are more comfortable once more.:7

Also, is this normal? I'm addicted to TH and P90X?

I'm speaking of course - Cathe announced her pre-sale and I'm horrified, that I wasn't bouncing off the walls to get ready, set and go with the presale. I must be cracking up!

And what has posessed my Smiling Arrow Head?

Oh, the things that happen when 2 weeks of posting anxiety!:7

Goodness, got the smile back on my smiley! Whew!

Hi Ladies!!!!!

I'm Baaacck!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :)

You'll never GUESS what I got at the community yard sales!!!!!!!

Oh! That's not fair! You read ahead! :p :7

A bike!!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Got up early Friday morning, walked the town for over 2.5 hours non-stop. Found two barely used Roadmaster bikes for $25.00 each. A 65 year old lady and her husband had purchased them 3 years ago when her doctor told her to start exercising. Well, bike riding was too hard on her joints. (That was her excuse. ;-) ) Before I could even ask her about the bikes, she blurts out, "You can have them for $20.00 each." :) My friend and I got them. I'm keeping mine up there for visits. I like riding on the country roads better than in the town where I live.

Later that day, we rode them on the back HILLY country roads. It was a little over 10 miles. I am now in total AWE of all you who can ride any more than that!!!! Those hills were HUGE! How come I never noticed when in the car? :7 :7 :7

Needless to say, I didn't do L&B yesterday. I need to do it before we leave for the concert.

Oh, I'm still sick. I'm getting better. But, still coughing up phelm every now and then; especially in the mornings. My nose is constantly stuffy and my eyes are all itchy and watery. I'm a mess! But, hey! I can shop for hours!!!!!! :7 Did I ever tell you how I went furniture shopping while deathly sick? Poor salesman kept offering me throat lozenges while showing me pillow fringe options. LOL

Be back tomorrow for personals!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!!!!
Wendy:)
