Feeling every single minute of yesterday’s workout in booty, inner & outer thighs – yikes! Gonna be a Painful Potty Day!

~ Thanks for encouragement gang! Going to take a few more days til I try lifting upper will talk to PT on Thursday about it. I really hope rehab does the trick… I just feel like the original injury that I have battled for so long was kinda lost in the shuffle w/ all the last 3 weeks new pains & problems… Going to go to PT like a good girl – keep my arm straight as possible to keep the nerve damaged part from flaring etc.. And hope like heck the original issue disappears along the way.

~ I have training the next 3-4 nights as schedules keep getting pushed around because of my stuff & client stuff coming up…

~ Pain Meds didn’t do a lot for the shoulder pain for several hours but man did it kick on the cramps! LOL Worth the price of admission for that one! 20 minutes GONE!

I don’t think theres any root cause to be found.. Probably over training with the X and just went downhill slowly from there. Dr didn’t seem to care much about how any of it happened. Maybe its just not important to know but I LIKE knowing the Why & How… just me. Surgery for both the tear and the nerve damage still looms as a possibility if rehab doesn’t get it… I am just thinking surgery is NOT an option! LOL I’m going to be a good patient! For some reason it REALLY PISSED ME OFF – probably no sleep for 3 weeks- chronic pain and fear… I just look at him stone cold while he composed his embarrassed self- We became great buds after that but he pissed me off royally- I should tell him not to use that as a pick up line [/i][font/ book antiqua]

RE: Xers-

Week 1/ Day 2/ Plyometrics? (I have to double check:7)

It's 4:30 and I'm awake!!!!

OMW! I missed Tony!!!! He had me cracking up all over again! And guess what! I did 3 UNassisted reverse grip chin-ups!!! :D :D :D I couldn't believe it! At the end of Round 1, I still couldn't do one chin-up! I matched or out did my best stats on Round 1. Oh, I still hate ARX. It was a tad easier, but I still hate it!:p

Traci-X: LOL I don't know why I love the X more than Cathe. Did I say that aloud?!:p I think it's because I can go at my own pace. The focus is so different. It's better suited to my ego.}( I do plan on subbing this time! I don't care what y'all say!:p I have no idea how long I'll stick with the X. Maybe when Cathe's new series is in my empty little hands, I'll switch things up. All I know is that I need to do something before I leave. This spinning for workouts isn't working! Isn't it funny how some men don't think. Now, if he said that you looked better than Ms. Universe, then maybe it might have not been so wrong on so many levels. At least, you and Dr. Doogie Howser got along in the end. If they can help you heal and get back to normal, they're alright in my book! Gotta love the meds for cramps. You better be glad I don't live near you. I'd be begging and bribing you relentlessly for a hit come TTOM!!!! Be a good girl and STOP typing. Man, I can't believe I said that!

Off I go to read and catch up on personals.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

RE: Xers-

No one post while I'm catching back up!:7

Jeanette-X: Did you say CC????? Which one did you bake? What did your dh do to deserve such a wonderful, loving, bundle of happiness? Yes, that was the one that didn't turn out.:-( Never fear, I headed straight to the oriental food store yesterday afternoon and bought the shorter grain sweet rice. There's a new owner. He was in the process of doing inventory so he could place new orders. Poor guy, I gave him a long wish list, as well as, a piece of my mind!!!:7 Anyhow, I'm not a quitter, even though I AM the laziest Xer. I'm making the 1,000 calorie dessert today.:9 Oh! I forgot to tell you... The last time I was at MIL's house, I saw some Kettlecorn and immediately thought of you! Almost bought some because I've never eaten it. But, I was a good girl and bought some Thai chili sauce instead since the Crazy Asian is worse than me when it comes to using the post office. Another thing I forgot to tell you... I didn't see that episode you mentioned on Bizzare Foods. I tried googling it to no avail. But, I did find some interesting Thai facts and tidbits on the Travel Channel's website. So, I guess it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Sandra-X: Awww, dear sick Sandra. You lost your voice, got a lump, and bum hip. You're a MESS!!!!!! But, you're our mess!:* ((((HUGS)))) I can't believe you are still working out! And, Traci has the nerve to want to call me sick in Swahili?!?! Did you have to write messages to everyone in frosting? You don't need your voice to POST pictures. You already knew that.;-)

Amy: Whazzup Sleeping Beauty?

Debra-X: Hello Ms. Dancing Meez with the killer shoes. No bowing to the Thai goddess; just loan me your masseuse and I shall bless you eternally.;-) Awww, homeroom helper is so fun. Kids at that age are so willing to please. I used to be the homeroom mother until the year I OD'd the kids. It was Valentine's Day 1995. I remember it clearly. The chocolate smeared smiles. Kids high on sweet tarts. The teacher's look of shocked horror at the sight of my handmade sewn felt heart bags filled with candy I had every parent donate for the school party. Good times! I never had to worry about the teacher's at that school asking me to watch other people's kids after that!}( LOL on first grade homework. I have no idea what's in store for you next year. The beauty about homeschooling is that there's no homework. Well, technically, it's ALL homework. But, oh. Nevermind! I'm suddenly depressed:p Isn't it wonderful to actually cook a meal! I've missed cooking. Can't believe I just thought and typed that!!! Hope Phil doesn't lurk here!:7 Now, I've never, ever, eeeeever made ribs. Ate 'em though. Did you make your own rub or sauce?

Tracy-X: You are soooo funny!!! That's hilarious. Have you decided which week you'll skip or will you be playing it by ear? Don't be like me. Plan for a good time!!!! While doing C&B, I thought of you. I really think that doing yoga has made me stronger. I think it has to do with all the core work, chatarungas and downward dogs. I don't know if pumping out more pushups confirms this or not. What say you?

Amy-X: You're dh is the man!!! I'd be freaking if a rat with wings was in my house. Do you know how it got in? LOL on extending the 90 days due to travel. Round 1 took me what? 115 days? LOL

TG: Awwww Day sounds so sweet! Aren't girls fun! Now, I had to laugh at your grandboys. Since you apparently want to do this again, I don't recommend pumping them with sugar before they go back to their respective homes. But, if there should come a day when you have nothing left to break.... Well, just saying is all.;-) I thought you weren't going to work the polls this year. Enjoy your rest day!

Carol: I hope you're rested and ready to bring it on this morning!!!!

Laurie-XX: LMAO (clothed of course}() See what happens when you're responsible for other people's kids!!! Police are generally involved! LOL What a horrid weekend! Have you learned your lesson yet?}( :+ Does your dd plan on running in college? My nephew was able to get some scholarships for running track. This year, his boss wrote him a letter to help him get more money towards an engineering degree. We're so proud of him. He was the child you didn't want your kids hanging around with when he was younger. Kids, they surprise you!!!

Lea-X: How are you doing today? Talk to me about raw. Are you 100% raw now? Do you ever miss cooked foods? Pies, cakes, cookies??? Do you plan on maintaining this lifestyle for life? I could probably do it for a day. However, the energy and benefits wouldn't kick in for me to fall in love with it to continue longer.

Well ladies, I think I've caught up. Hope everyone gets healthy and mended or stays injury free! Safety first!!!! Which reminds me to blow kisses to dh before he leaves for work. Can't be catching his nasty cold while starting the X!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!

RE: Xers-

Hi all,

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I just did a little yoga and I'll do legs and a walk this afternoon.

Traci - At least go see what the PT has to say. Did you tear the proximal or distal attachement of the bicep?

Jeanette- cheesecake sounds delicious!

Sandra - I hope you feel better.

Annointed - Hi

Wendy - Great job on the chinups. I think it is the yoga that helps.

Debra - I've decided to nickname you the nap queen LOL!

Nicole - Here's hoping DH is back to work soon.

RE: Xers-

:) :) :) :) Xer’ s it’s a good morning!
Round2/Phase2/Week5/Day 7/Rest this AM - bike ride PM
Looks like the weather is going to hold out for another day and I plan on taking full advantage! Yippee!

Here goes my attempt at personals. LOL. My apologies right out of the box to Tracy and Traci for mixing your names up. My bad!

LaurieX, Camping in 52degrees sounds brutal. You go girls for sticking it out in the rain, noise and other antics! Do you cook your meals outside? WTG on DD’s run stats! You are one proud mom. Ahhh, the sweet sound of a Clarinet – how did she decide that was “the” instrument for her?

TraciX, thanks for sharing your dr visit info. It will certainly be a challenge to adjust your wo’s. I’m amazed at your creativity when faced with new challenges. <-sounds like a line used on a job resume. Sending hugs and caring your way today and speedy recovery thoughts. Take care!

Nicolex, You and your DH are quite the lovely couple. Was your avatar picture taken outdoors? What was the occasion?

AmyX, enjoy your snooze! Check-in on wake up.

JeanetteX, how do you avoid a cold for 1 ½ years? The pictures of Rhino in landscape are terrific! The machine is huge! Do you get to drive? Crunchy leaves and cool autumn air, ahhhhhh. The changing seasons are a wonder. What is it about the relatives which are not truly ours that can make a person not care quite the same as our own? Must be what makes the world go around. Same feeling I have with MIL and other IL’s. Love them but not quite to the nth degree.

Debrax, love your dinner menu! Nice job. I pulled the frozen veggie lasagna out last night. I’m tired of cooking dinner. All this healthy eating sucks up so much prep time. Keep on napping, as I believe rest with stress goes a long way. Of course a massage and yoga mixed in helps. I also enjoy participating occasionally in DD’s room. Is it by choice you bus her to and fro school? Where did Meez get those shoes? They would go with my new dress oh so well. Ha!

Tracix, is VA in full color yet? What if any new running shoes did you chose?

SandraX, take care of yourself! Sorry to hear you are not 100%.

Anointed , ahhhh rest GF!

Wendyx, do you use a rice cooker? They are so expensive, but assume they make the rice taste very good. Go with the X! I so completely understand your comment on not having to think about my rotation while using the X. I do not own all Cathe’s wo’s. There are days I jut stare at dvd’s trying to find a suitable one to sub. During her rotation. The X takes out the guess work and I love the variety and the results. Maybe when I have “time” I will put together rotation using DVD’s I own. My very first Cathe rotation I completed was Nov. 2006 as I had purchased the new series. May just pull that one out after Round 2 is complete.

Hello to Cheryl, Carol, Lea, and anyone I forgot.

It’s time to wake up the DD for school. On with the show! Bye
:+

RE: Xers-

Before I start my day... I forgot to say...

Nicole-X: I'm so sorry I forgot about you! Did your dh LEAVE yet?}( Are you allowed to come outside and play today? Now that yoga week including rest day is done, what's on the agenda for today?

Amy-X: Good Morning early bird! Phil broke down and bought a rice cooker for me when he was remodeling our kitchen. I tried waiting for the Crazy Asian to mail me one from her local oriental grocery store. They sell better ones. Ours wasn't that expensive considering how much we use it and how much we have to cook for our family size. We bought it at Macys on sale. To tell you the truth, it doesn't taste much different than making it on the stovetop. We use Goya rice since it's a medium grain rice. It's softer than long grain. Shhh... Don't tell my mother; especially when she's got a meat cleaver in her hand!!! We don't call her the Crazy Asian for no reason!:7 You'll have to post a picture of yourself in your new dress. Have fun at the reunion! Skipped going to mine this summer. Most of the people I wanted to see wasn't going anyway.

Cheryl-X: Another year wiser!:) Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday!!!!

Phil called me a cold, cold woman again this morning when I blew kisses at him before work. He threatened to cough all over me. Sounds kinky!:7

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!

RE: Xers-

Hello there you crazy women! You all had my lol this morning...so now I am back to post. Let's see...today is SH shoulders and some sort of leg workout...I will probably be joining Traci with LG. No other exciting news to report except that I got 2 of my errands done before 9 am....that must be a record for me!

Wendy....Tell Phil to keep his germs to himself! I will send my masseuse up this week since you are going to need her with doing the X again! LOL about the Valentine's party...I actually signed up to do that same party this year....we'll see how that goes...I don't think anyone at DDs school quite knows how to take me yet...My Southern accent is pretty much gone..and I am pretty loud...and I talk to the kids like adults (within reason!)....I am under the impression they all think I am a little crazy...I don't know if they have noticed that I never wear my wedding band...but I am sure there is talk about that too! Muffin mom was also helping out...she is so soft spoken and sweet and I am entirely the opposite! I have made my own sauce for ribs...but I was too lazy to do that yesterday. I can't believe you have never made ribs...they are the easiest thing in the world to make.

Traci....Dear woman...take it easy and do not over tax your arm...and yes, you must be a good girl and go to your rehab as scheduled. LOL about the PA's comment....I can't believe he actually said that! I bet you scared him with the look you gave him. I actually don't like working out in the yard...but those darn good fairies never come when I call! I am sure you clients will be happy to see you this week. Glad the meds helped your cramping at least...good luck going to the potty today.

Tracy...I know...but if I don't my required hours of sleep I am really very, very cranky!

Swifty...Last night's dinner was an anomaly....I usually cut up DD some fruit and make her a cheese quesadilla on WW tortillas for dinner..LOL! DD is going to a private school, and although they have bussing, there are none that come to our area. We kind of live out of the normal range of their students. And also...since it is her first year at that school (and since we just moved) I thought it would be best to take her myself...At least I get to drop her off at the door now...I used to have to walk in with her every morning! Have a great time on your ride this evening.

Nicole...Have fun with DH today...Hope you don't have to work in the garage all day!

Amy...Glad to see you on your way to bed. Dream of angels!

Sandra...Sending lots of cold medicine and kleenex your way. Hope you are feeling better soon! Take a break on the exercise until your cold is better, you crazy woman.

Jeanette...Get that cheesecake out of your house now! Nice of you to make it though. Can't wait to hear about your golfing escapades this week. I bet that lady will keep her distance from you! Those silly boys are still after DD...in fact she has a bday party to go to for one of them this weekend.

Well....I think I am all caught up for now...I caught up with everyone else last night....I guess that means I have to go push play! Happy day to all who follow!

Debra

RE: Xers-

Morning Xers,

Rotation: LGI8
Workout: Week3/Day7/CTX Chest, Biceps, Abs (probably the Kickboxing planks) / 35 Min Run

I think that we adopted the dang laziest dog in the world. :7 Love her though. She would rather go in her kennel than take a walk. :7

Traci, LOL about the Miss Universe. You will have to staighten that young man out on how to treat a XGrad and a Catheite. :D Did I read correctly, you are going to attempt Leg X again. I'm guessing minus the back exercises. Do you take breaks inbetween some of those exercises? Glad the pain meds are working for something. LOL

Wendy, Great job on the second round of X. ;-) You will amaze yourself at how much more you can do than the last round. Push-ups will seem like a breeze. :) I subed in the second round all the time. I'm hoping that DD keeps up the running. A Senior girl on the Xcountry team has a scholarship. Crossing my fingers for our DD to do the same. Would help us a lot. Funny about you nephew, my oldest DD was the same way. Some parents would tell their kids not to play with my DD. Now that same parent thinks my DD is a great kid. Respectful and nice! Go figure. :) I just needed to channel all the energy she had into the proper sport!

Jeanette, :9 Cheesecake! I have been wanting some pumpkin cookies lately. I'm hoping to get some made this weekend, only because DD's have been asking for them. All done with the chemical inventory. They found over 1600 chemicals over the whole site.

Tracy, Yes how long is this class you are taking? That would help me decide when to take my time off.

Swifty, I don't know how DD decided on the Clarinet. She was definite on the fact that she wanted to play a woodwind instument. She keeps taking it out and looking at it. I have to remind her that she shouldn't be taking it out until she is taught by the teacher how to take care of it. "But Mom I just want to look at it" :D

Anointed, Sounds like you had your hands full with the grandkids. :D I always find out that my house isn't kid proof when my sisters bring over their children. :) Of course I'm not the one trailing after them, and telling them not to touch!

Debra, I have to agree with you on the boys vs girls thing. I found that out this weekend on the camp out. :D Oh I remember when I first started playing the Alto Sax. My sister used to play the clarinet also. I already told DD that she needs to practice in her room with the door closed.

Nicole, LOL about DH. Mine hasn't a clue what I chat about. I tell him every once in a while :D He is on a need to know basis. ;-)

Amy, Hope you got your rest in.

Sandra, Hope you get better soon from all you ailments. Take care.

Have a great day!

Laurie

RE: Xers-

Good morning,
Today was Imax2 and I actually did all of it! If Wendy can do Plyometrics, guess I can manage Imax2! Have my golf class after work today. My office at work is being carpeted today so things will be crazy. I also have a dentist appointment (cleaning) before the golf class. I'm hoping I don't have to grab the hands of the hygienist LOL!

Traci, so sorry you have cramps still. Glad the meds are working for those. I usually only have cramps on the first day of TTOM, and only for a few hours. Guess I'm lucky. I know you will be an excellent patient and will heal quickly. I've always kind of held back on my weight work as I've been afraid of getting hurt. And here I start playing golf and tweak my elbow doing that. No cold so far for me. Usually, the first sign is a very sore throat. Hasn't happened yet, and my energy is good. I told myself that I wouldn't fight getting a cold with Zicam, Airborne and such again as I think I only prolong the cold and when it finally hits, it's a doozy and stays around forever. We'll see, kind of depends on what events I have lined up that I don't want to miss. I would have been miffed by the Ms. Universe comment too.

Wendy, glad you are enjoying Tony again. I just haven't been in the mood for him since I finished the X in January. Cathe, no, I never get tired of her. She's just more doable for me on a consistent, for life basis. WOWSA on the chinups!!!! Yes, sounds like the yoga has really helped you. Yep, I made a mocha cheesecake last night that a guy at work gave me the recipe for a couple years ago. I had mentioned it at that time to DH's boss (my friend) and he's been wanting to try it. It turned out well. DH took it to work this morning. I was going to let it set in the fridge another day, but thought, what the heck, it's set up good enough. Hope they enjoy it.
MMMMMMmmmmmm, kettlecorn! Oh, you are making me miss that DH and I didn't go to Oregon on vacation this month like we usually do. That's where I go nuts on the kettlecorn! Why'd you bring that up? Okay, now I'll just think of "stinky tofu" to settle me down. So you couldn't see that episode? I was laughing because that Asian lady bot the best of him. He could not eat a 2nd bite. I wonder if he's ever had food poisoning before.

Tracy, hope your day goes well. Where do you take your walk?

Swifty, enjoy that bike ride this afternoon. Do you ride in the wintertime? We have a blast on the Rhino. We don't do anything extreme with it, mostly putt around like old fuddie duddies, looking for firewood and chatting. The machine is larger than a large 4-wheeler, but smaller than a Jeep. I could drive it, but prefer to just relax and let DH drive. He doesn't seem to mind. Not sure how I've avoided the cold for so long. The last one was a nasty cold that hung on for a couple of months, lots of phlegm and coughing and one trip to Urgent Care. Hate colds.

Got to run now,

Jeanette

RE: Xers-

Hi, everyone! Yes, I was off having a wonderful b-day yesterday. Exercised only 20 minutes (LIC) and enjoyed a bodywrap last night. Tonight DH is taking me out. This morning I ran for an hour.

Gotta stop in to say -

Traci - You go girl, on the meds! At least they kicked the cramps to the curb. I hope your shoulder is doing better - it may just take some time to mend. Therapeutic massage might also help - yes, that's the ticket! :7 :7 :+

Wendy, three unassisted chin-ups????? You go, girl!! Can't believe so much strength exists in such a cute tiny thing. You are an inspiration to me - my mind keeps going back to all the fun of the road trip.

Amy-the-Swift - sounds like you're having a good week so far. I'm so glad.

Debra, did you say masseuse?? Great idea! I'm all about the spa life these days :+ :+ :+

Speaking of which - Laurie, sounds like your dog would agree. Glad she feels right at home, and at least she's not too hyper. So glad she found a loving family. If you're concerned about perking her up you could also adopt a young puppy..... :+

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!!!!

Cheryl

RE: Xers-

KPC- Cardio Condtitioning & Abs ( 55 min.)

I feel like I was hit by a Mac truck this morning. I woke up with a bad cold and TTOM! You know me though, I have to be throwing up to skip working out, it's in the bi-laws:) DH is taking the boys to school and then helping his brother move for a bit so I came to say hi while I still could:)

Traci-X, Is your arm straight? Good! You should have told the doc that you were in the finals for Miss Universe but they threw you out on account of your propensity toward violence when doctors asked if you were trying to be Miss Universe}(
Gentle{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}

WendyX, I can't believe you're doing the X without me! I have to wait until after the new DVD's hit to start an X rotation. Did Carol start with you? The Thai food place I went to in Sandy, Utah had their sticky rice in a rice cooker and it tasted like all the bamboo steamer rice I've tasted:9 I want Thai food so badly now:9 Phil is such a riot! You are lucky to have such a funny DH.

JeanetteX, Between you and Wendy I think I've gained ten pounds just from reading your posts:) I love cheesecake! Oh, I hope I didn't upset Traci by writing out the whole name:p How is your shin feeling? Is golf going well? Did you get the new clubs yet? So I have a fellow kettlecorn lover huh? I love that stuff too. I have to settle for the Smart Pop microwave stuff but it'll do until I get the real stuff:p

TracyX, Glad your able to pop in for a minute here and there. I wish work were easier for you. You are quite a trooper:) I looked up the Pit workout and I can imagine why it has bad form. UFC is not exactly a take care of your body kind of sport. It's an abuse it and overuse it kind of sport. Our friend who fights in it is a mess and so are a lot of the other guys. There is a lot of skill involved because of the Mixed Martial Arts but other than that it's pretty abusive. And that ends that rant:)

SwiftyX, Thanks for the nice comments on DH and my avatar. It was at his cousins wedding that we went to a few months ago. Our DS was the ring bearer. He is going to be in my DB wedding next month. That will be the fourth for him. He said he can't wait until he turns 7 so he doesn't have to be a ring bearer anymore:) Enjoy the weather and a lovely bike ride!

DebraX, You are having such a fabulous fall season, aren't you? You must be in full fall mode by now and I'm jealous! It is cool at night but 80 during the day. It's supposed to cool down come Friday and I am so excited. Time to bake!! Aren't you done with S&H yet? You need a break from heavy before the new DVD's come. Maybe you can make it yoga week while XDH is here so you can breathe away the stress of it all:D

LaurieXX, I guess a lazy dog is better than a busy dog, right? At least she goes if you drag her:) I talk about all of our group all the time to DH. He now knows everyones name and listens as if I'm talking about friends that I had lunch with:) I'll say Wendy did this or Tracy did that and he just nods his head. I have so few friends because of time issues that it's good to have all of you:)

Cheryl, Glad you had a nice b-day! Enjoy your night out with your DH:)

SandraX, Oh my, you are falling apart! You best take it easy and heal. Maybe it's your body revolting against another long winter! Lately I have been having trouble with my wrist, which my DH insists is because I'm getting old, but I know it's from overuse:( I am older than DH so he gives me a hard time a lot:) Are you going to post picks of the cakes? How did your final go?{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Off to feel worse;)

RE: Xers-

Hey, gang. Thanks for the sleeping wishes.....they worked like a charm and I slept until 1100!!

Okay, here are the final stats on the Velocity Diet.....

Weight- down total of 11.5 lbs!!!!
Inches- down a total of 9.75!!!!

Yes, I would do it again because I really didn't find it that difficult to stick with! DH might not have thought so, but it wasn't him drinking all the shakes! It was especially nice at work! All I had to do was for 3 shakes, my blender and away I went!

Traci-I am glad that you finally were able to get in to see the doc about your shoulder/arm. I hope that PT goes well for you. If you still have problems with your elbow after the PT and stuff, you may want to have your neck checked out. A lot of shouler/elbow stuff can originate in the cervical spine...DH found out the hard way! He had 4 surgeries on his hand before they figured out that it was his neck that had the nerve inpingement!

Cheryl- I hope that you had an awesome birthday!!! Keep it up, beautiful woman!!!

Wendy- You just plain crack me up! I find that Tony cracks me up too, but after about 6 weeks, he annoyed me! I love my rice cooker, it was something that I grew up with at home, so as soon as I got married, I made sure that I put one on my wedding register!!!

Everyone else, I don't mean to forget you, but after yesterday, my brain has yet to reset and turn on!!! I did get a lot of funny looks because most people knew I was night shift, but couldn't figure out why I was there during the day!!! One girl even asked me if I were ready to switch to day shift. I said, "Sure, I'll be happy to......right after I cut off my right arm!!!" It was such a "dog and pony" show with trying to keep up with all the extraneous people involved with ICU patient care.....physical therapy, speech therapy, palliative care, dietician, yada, yada, yada.....!!! Not to mention the 59 doctors that see each patient and run away with my charts!!! OY!!!(to quote Cheryl!)

Off to the grocery store!:7 :7 :7 :7

RE: Xers-

Hi all - Quick update on the Nerve Specialist visit today....

Not a pleasant experience-
He did a series of tests with his hands had one spot that was a BIG OUCH in elbow nerves with that one
Next came the electrical shocks that we viewed on a screen to watch muscle reactions - 9 areas from shoulder to hand top & underside
that showed slight damage in the same "elbow"/ Ulnar area THEN the fun part... stuck needles in 9 areas of MUSCLES! I kid you not! Felt like minor pin pricks until he did the top of bicep.... I screamed and then cried like a baby. When the needle came out I started having spasms that lasted about 15 minutes (all the while still crying) and now (4 hours later) it still throbs.
On to good news: We caught the nerve damage early so theres a chance the rehab will do the trick... If @ half way mark with it and still not improving he wants to shoot me in elbow with a steroid..... If that doesnt fix it I have to have surgery... He gave me some jelly like stuff to rub into elbow that is suppose to be of minor help with pain in forearm.
Thats all I know except that I shall never have needles put into my muscles again!

Client coming soon so gotta run but promise to do personals tomorrow.

Hugs to all!

RE: Xers-

Hi all...back for a few personals...

Traci...You poor baby! I am so sorry the doctor used you as his pin cushion! Hope you can take care of this with rehab...I know that you don't want to have surgery. Maybe you should have kicked him in the crotch to see how he liked that! I bet he would have had some muscle spasms too.

Amy...Glad to see you are among the living. Hope you catch up with your rest and get your brain on right. Way to go with your weight loss results! Glad it was something that worked out for you!! So...what is your plan now? I am assuming this was just a way for you to jump start some results.

Jeanette...Way to go with finishing Imax2..I always feel guilty if I don't finish that one. It is just so fun to me...I get to about segment 7 and I am like...well, I might as well go ahead and do the rest of it! Have fun at the dentist...hope that is relatively pain free. Be a good girl at golf tonight...LOL! No cat fights!

Laurie...Be glad that Cami is a calm dog...Mine still acts like a puppy a lot of the time since she just turned 2...In fact she is upstairs chasing DD and her friends right now! Hope you enjoy CTX today...that is what I am going to start with next after SH. LOL about your DD "looking" at her clarinet...very cute!

Cheryl...Sounds like you had a great day yesterday...have a wonderful dinner out tonight!

Nicole...Oh, no...not a cold!!! I am so sorry. I just hate being sick. I am such a grouch. I guess it's good DH was off work today to shuttle the kids a bit. This is my last week of SH...Then I am going to go to one body part per day, with 3 days a week of cardio, 2 days of yoga and a day of legs. I will probably use CTX, MM, and MIS for my weight work....at least that is what I am thinking right now...I won't be done until about the beginning of next week, though.

So...I did SH shoulders today and the standing portion of LG...Have I mentioned that I hate doing legs??? Well, I do. I will try to tack on the floor portion of LG later this week. I have my yoga class tomorrow morning...then I will probably do a 30 minute cardio in the afternoon. My BFF is coming to visit this weekend....Yeah! We have a big antique show to go to on Saturday, so that should be fun. She is bringing one of her friends with her...whom I really like. I guess that means I have to clean the house on Thursday, hunh?!?

Okay...off for now...have a lovely evening ladies!

RE: Xers-

Traci-X. Oh my what a trial today was! I'll pray that PT will heal all wounds and you'll be 100% soon:)

DebraX, Oooooh, legs! I don't like leg work either. I have it on tap for Thursday. Going to an antique show with your BFF sounds like great fun:) Can I come?

AmyX, Glad you're back to the land of the living:) Way to go on the weight loss and more importantly the inches lost! ^5

Must go blow my nose and sit on my butt, I am sooooo tired right now:( I painted at my SIL's new house for 4 hours by myself and I feel like 2 Mac trucks ran over me now:p

RE: Xers-

Ooooh, Traci, I am crying for you. That dr. session sounds just awful. Sounds like they didn't identify so much how it happened as just the extent of the damage and what needs to be done. I hope you never have to live through something like this again.

I hope your client session goes well and that you are able to follow it up with a wonderful night sleep. Sandy can cuddle you better.

Take care, my dear friend!!!

RE: Xers-

Back tonite, from my golf class. It went okay. I'm still not hitting the ball like I'd like. Uneven hits or mishits, as I guess they are called. Oh well, will get it figured out eventually. The instructor wasn't there tonite to help out, left someone else in charge. We putted, hit range balls and then went out on the course in groups or pairs. I went out with this really nice teddy bear of a guy. We both were equally bad, but it was still a nice evening.

Oh yeah, my dental appointment went fine (teeth cleaned). I didn't have to grab anyone's arms or speak sternly. I almost went to sleep at one point, that's how relaxed I was today.

Debra, LOL re: your southern accent being gone. Bet I could pick an accent up on you. I didn't golf or get near the mouthy lady tonite. We went separate ways when it came to going out on the course. The cheesecake went to work with DH. He shared it with his co-workers. What was left came back to my office a few hours later, where it was devoured within a couple. It turned out well. Imax2 is a fun one, love the music in that one. A real masterpiece. I had a feeling of accomplishment when I finished that one. The antique show sounds like fun. Clean the house? What's that? This grasshopper hasn't pushed a vacuum cleaner in a couple of weeks.

Laurie, LOL re: your lazy dog. Bet she is a sweetheart. Amazing how we can get so bonded to them. My little Tillie is my baby. I used to think that DH was silly over his little dachshunds. Now I'm the goofy one. I'm glad that chemical inventory is crossed off of your list. Hope you don't have to go thru that again. I just got a project from my boss to look into. He wants to set up a DUI program at the prison for the inmates. There is a ton of interest out there for sure. I've got some research to do on it, and need to write a memorandum of understanding. Think I'd rather do a chemical inventory right now.

Nicole, so sorry about your cold. Hope this one blows thru quickly. My shin is pretty much healed up. The elbow, however, is sore when placed in certain positions. It's more the forearm right below the elbow that gets sore when I reach for something up high. I'm pretty sure it's a tennis or golf elbow thing. I'm planning on going to Reno this Saturday and getting some new clubs. Think DH will be cutting wood as the woods just opened. Did you injure your wrist at some time earlier? I think I'm going to go back to taking my glucosamine and MSM. I haven't taken it for about 2 months and I think I'm seeing a difference and not in a good way. I need to buy some more and start back on it. I can imagine those Ultimate Fighters have pain filled lives, long after they are done fighting. My son used to race motocross and has had some spills. He has the aches and pains to this day and will probably always have them. What's the saying, "If I'd known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself." Hoping that TTOM goes by quickly for you. Isn't it bizarre that a good number of us have started within a week's time of each other? Freaky!

Amy, so glad you could check in with us. Congratulations on the wonderful results from your shake diet! You've done real well!!!

Traci, honey, I'm so sorry for what you had to go thru today. ((((HUGS))), wish I could have been there with you. I hope they were at least sympathetic about the pain they were inflicting on you. Sure sending out the good vibes that PT will start to give you some real relief and fast.

Better sign off now and do some more reading before heading to bed.

Jeanette
