X-Train (Advice)

My anniversary, birthday, mothers day is coming up and would love to own X-Train. The reason I love insanity is because I follow the calendar and lost inches and weight. Will X-Train do the same if I follow the calendar? Following rotations is a bit fustrating for me because I don't own alot of Cathe's workouts, so whenever I see programs like insanity I jump at them, because they decide what workout to do for me.

Ok, I just looked at the official XT 90-Day Undulating Rotation in the XT user's guide. All the w/o's needed are the ones you will own once you buy the entire XT series (no need to worry about "other" Cathe w/o's you don't own). The rotation will tell you what specific w/o's to do on each day, and so basically the hard work of figuring out how to arrange your w/o's is already done :).

I personally believe this program is EXCELLENT and will give you fantastic results if you stick with it and eat well. I can't really compare Insanity to XT, because I have never done a Beach Body program in my life. What I can tell you is that Cathe rotations are THE BOMB! I have only obtained the most positive results from her w/o's, and in the best shape of my life so far.

BTW, the only caveat I can think of is you will need heavy enough weights to challenge you. If you are not used to lifting moderate-heavy weights, this type of training might feel "out of your element". Nonetheless, don't let that stop you from buying this series and embracing all the positive aspects heavy-lifting has to offer.

Get it! Get it! Get it! You won't regret it ;)

I like to follow rotations as well, it's great to have all the planning done for you!:D
The Xtrain 90 day rotation would be a great workout to do after Insanity. Insanity is so focused on cardio and Xtrain will get you a change to some more strength workouts combined with cardio.

I actually gained weight doing insanity, i think the lack of weight work and the stress from too much cardio caused this. I am doing the Xtrain 90 day undulating rotation and am seeing amazing results in both muscular strength and cardio. I really think you will be happy with this series.
If you miss doing insanity during this rotation you could sub one of cathe's cardios for an insanity DVD once a week. I doubt you will do this once you realize how much better cathe's dvd's are, insanity IMO was boring and repetitive.

I think you will more than satisfied if you buy XTrain, because it is self-contained. The 90 day rotation uses only XTrain workouts. Also, I love that it has both strength and cardio, so that makes it even better for your body than cardio only. It is scientifically proven that cardio only can have detrimental effects on the body.

If you have done Insanity, the only additional thing you may have to do is to get a few extra pieces of equipment. But I can tell you that it is completely worth the investment if you have proven yourself to be a faithful home exerciser. Most of my fitness equipment has paid for themselves over time in comparison to club membership.

Best Wishes.

I also second the suggestion to make you have heavy enough weights. I'm using my 25 db's for chest presses for the first time and soon will buying 30's! Thank you Burn Sets!
