Good Morning Girls.

My arms are sore from y'day's work out. I think my core is finally feeling better. It only took 3 days!:eek: Today will be cardio. The rotation calls for IMAX 2 but I will not be doing that after my blast frenzy from Friday. :) That being said, I'm looking to choose a cardio that I traded up for running so far in the rotation I'm doing....

The choices are DM Cardio Blast premix, KPC, SB or the BM2 Cardio Blast premix.

What would YOU do? :cool:

Ang: Oh don't feel bad about your Halloween eats. I didn't exactly stick to a stellar diet myself last night. I was good up until the party though. I love it that Cam told Cody to stay out of his candy! :D So I'm sure you loved the extra hour of sleep last night! I sure did. I needed it. When I went to bed last night I felt like I might be getting sick. I was achey, etc. I feel fine this morning though so I guess it was just exhaustion. I went to bed around 11. It's not like it was super late but I guess my body was done for the day considering I am usually in bed by about 9:30 every night. LOL Putting KB's on your Christmas list is like when I asked for DB's one year. I knew exactly what the gift was as soon as I lifted the box cause it was so dang heavy! LOL I hope you get them. You must also put some of the work out DVD's on your list as well! ;) How will you decide between the bells and STS when you have both but can only do one??? That's gonna be a tough one!:eek:
 
Hey Xer's!

Sorry I've been MIA but my computer is on the fritz - It needs a new mother board. I'm kinda lost without it and feel so out of touch with my cyber friends. Workouts have been good, eats have been BAD! I am an emotional eater and there has been some additional stress going on in my life.:( Are we doing any new challenges? I hope all is well with everyone.:D

Wendy, I'd do the DM cardio blast premix or the BM2 cardio blast premix. Have fun!

Today is a kettlbell workout. Oh, I'm getting my X workouts back today! :)

Ahhhhh - extra hour of sleep day.

Morning darlings

So glad I had an extra hour of sleep. Needed to sleep the CABs off from last night.:eek::p So today I will be chuggin' water. Thankfully it is a rest day, but I never got the halloween stuff picked up so that is a MUST do today.

I did kenpo+ yesterday and now I know why I never reach for it. I hardly broke a sweat with it and didn't enjoy it AT all.:( It's just not the same quality as the X. The music doesn't match the moves and the moves are choppy and uncoordinated IMO. I think I will be selling it. I only burned less than 300 calories with it so I decided to hop on the EXT and put in 1.25 miles to at least get a 400 calorie burn. I was sweating when I got done with that.;)

Tomorrow will be the start of my second X rest week. Again I will not be doing yoga twice. I'll probably sub in sqeeze again. But, Cody also has games on Monday and Wednesday so I don't know when I'm gonna get the workouts in. I probably should do a workout today and have tomorrow off.......hmmmmmm. Maybe later.

Shirl - Good to see ya back. I had motherboard problems with my laptop a while back. Is it a Dell laptop you are having an issue with? I think Wendy and I can relate to the pain that causes.:mad:

Wendy - I sooo wish I could do your cyntergy class - would love to have some Ab DOMS. Maybe with CoreSyn I will get my wish.
Since I just did SB, I would opt for KPC - but with that list no matter what you decide on you should be spent.
I'm a very spoiled brat. *lol* I usually get everything I put on my X-mas list. Unfortunately, my family is not computer literate. I'll have to buy the KB workouts on my own b/c I think most of the goodies are only available online right?
I figured that with STS, that's only a 3 day per week workout commitment, so I can put in the KB workouts in the other days. I'm sure I will be one sore puppy for a while but I'm soooooo looking forward to it.

Hi ladies,

Reading your posts reminded me that we never set the clocks back last night-oops!!! Tonight is Jerods last football game since he's opted not to play in the tournament. They play tonight at 6pm under the lights which the kids always like.

My snacking has been outta control but I am working on it. Yesterday was a rest day for me so I definitely need to get something done today. Heavy weights are sounding good so I'm leaning towards MIS followed by some kind of cardio, maybe the ext!

We went to see SIL yesterday and she seems to be doing pretty good for the most part. She's still in a lot of pain which is to be expected.

Wendy-I'd do BM2 cardio only-fun fun:confused: I know step is not your favorite but this is a fun one, but so is SB and DM. Let us know what you decided.

Shirl-sorry about the computer problems. I was actually working on my nieces computer last night and couldn't get it working for her. Thankfully she has laptop she can use.

Angie-I'll have to look into the smooth handled kb's myself. They are also going on my christmas list. Although it will be a lean christmas around here.

No workout for me yesterday and DH had the computer monopolized ALL DAY! Hotwheels collecting to boot!:p

Wow I can't believe how late I slept in this AM!:eek: Kept falling back to sleep and having dreams so I guess I needed it. Today I am better and will hit the workout room once I get my painting finished while the room has natural light. In catching up from yesterday . . .

Wendy – eggplant parm sandwich sounds great ! Lately for some reason I am craving the foods I usually avoid. Like you, I definitely can’t eat the way I used to. :( Think it is time for me to start logging my daily eats again and stay away from the starches. Great job on the CTX / L&G floorwork. LOL at the run for damage control for your evening out! I like the CTX workout on the rotation, but if I do it today it will throw off next week’s workouts. On the other hand, just made me think that I should workout straight through next week since I just missed two days in a row. Will see when I get to the exercise room this afternoon.

For today, I would say the Max Blasts are both killers and would opt for KPC myself.

Angie – yes we went out to eat on Halloween to a Chevy’s, Fresh Tex Mex, where I indulged in my favorite chips with some killer hot salsa. Actually cleared the headache for a few hours! ITA agree about the OD forums lately, not sure why people feel the need for criticism – I just try to ignore their bad taste. I believe we all have opinions and mine is NOT the right one, only mine.

Sounds like you are going to have an Exercise-related Xmas this year as I think of the things you have mentioned you added to the list. Great idea to stretch those Xmas dollars to the healthy side of the fence! Think I may actually start the same since I really don’t “need” anything.

Good idea to switch out to finish today's workout. I like KenpoX, guess + isn't matching up as well, huh?

Shirl - we missed you - sorry about the computer probs. But know that you are right there with many of us lately on the stress and the EATS !;) Woo Hoo on the X workouts ! Hope you have a great day and get to "come back" to us more frequently now.

Diana - have fun at Jerod's last game and getting into the wrestling soon. Kick some booty with your workout today, and the added cardio!:p Best thought for SIL - think I missed it, did she have surgery?

OK - off to projects I go. We get to go pick up our interior doors for the whole house today so will be painting, painting, painting for weeks to come!:eek: I can't wait to see my house updated though! Am getting really excited. I guess I am a "simpleton". :D
 
Hey Ladies,

Well I ended up doing Amy Bento's Slo Mo challenge, total body premix. I wasn't impressed. I've done her APX and liked that weight w/o. I followed it up with SS Lower body blast to really get the legs. My lower body is my trouble spot and I need to work them hard. I also skipped the cardio to help the family clean house and get Jerod ready for football.

By the way, SIL did have surgery last Monday night. She is in good spirits and we enjoyed spending some time with her.

Back to the grind...
 
Good Afternoon Girls. :)

I haven't worked out yet. I was feeling a little like I might be getting sick earlier so I laid down for a little while. I feel better now so I'm thinking I will tackle kpc in a few minutes. BM2 is too much for my brain to handle right now (LOL) and I find DM is more intense and I'd prefer to take it a wee bit easier today. Not sure if I'll do the full work out or a premix. I ran y'day when cardio wasn't even on the schedule so whatever I do today will be fine as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Diana: Glad your SIL is keeping the positive attitude. Very important in times like this. Slo Mo is a good work IMO but I think she does too many sets and I don't like some of the upper body exercises. The lower body is killer though. I had some pretty fierce DOMS after that one! I keep saying I need to get back to it but I have yet to do it again. LOL I don't have APX so I can't comment on it. I like stepping. I just did it so often for so long that I got tired of it. I'll still do it but it tends to not be my first choice. I love IMAX 2 but hey, who doesn't! LOL

Jacque: OMG, my son would probably LOVE to come to your house and see/play with your hubby's hotwheels collection! How many cars does he have!?!? I hate it when my DH is on the computer. I mean, he can't POSSIBLY be doing something IMPORTANT! FORUM TIME is what's IMPORTANT! We are supposed to be getting a laptop one of these years....I can't wait cause then I won't have to share!:p:D;)

Ang: If I had a good memory I would memorize the ab routine from my class for ya and post it so you could do it at home. It's alot of lower ab work and when you think you can't take it any more she makes you do what seem like endless planks! :eek::eek::eek: I guess I can TRY to pay attention next time for you. Perhaps it'll keep my mind off the pain. :p Hmmm...I don't think you want to be doing kettlebells back to back with weights. KB's ARE a form of weight training. The only way I'd consider it is if you were using a light bell for cardio purposes more then for strength but even then I don't think I'd go there. That's JMHO though. Take it or leave it. I won't be offended. :) Hey, no one says you gotta do STS the minute you get it though! Play with the bells for a few weeks. You have the rest of your life to complete an STS rotation!;) My mom and hubby are computer literate so I give them all of the gifts that you have to get online. I have a hard time coming up with gifts for my inlaws to give me cause they don't shop online so I always have to think about if what I am asking them for is something that can be found in a regular store.:confused:

Shirl: I'm an emotional eater too so I know how you feel. (((HUGS))) I'm also one who eats when she is bored as well as a whole host of other reasons. Basically, I just LOVE to eat! Not good. Not good at all! :D

Hope the rest of our group is doing okay. Everyone is probably gearing up for a new week. My schedule at work is completely different this month. I am used to having wednesdays off. This month it's mondays. I have to admit it'll be kinda nice to have an "extended weekend". :)

Oh well, better get crackin' on the work out before I run out of time....

I'm back...

I went down and did Squeeze in lieu of yogaX. So, now tomorrow will be rest day.:D Although, the eats have been horrible with all the derned candy around! Ug!

Diana - Have fun at the last game tonight. Hope Jarod kicks butt.
Glad to hear SIL is doing well. What a scarey thing for someone to go thru.

Ya, as far as the OF - it's a blood fest in there lately. With the fights between the newbies and the veterans - it just gets a bit much. The vets then team up (or should I say pack up) and it gets really ugly....I don't like it one bit. In fact, I happen to agree with the newbies more so than not.:confused:
KenpoX I like...I can at least modify that one to pep it up a bit or really hone in on my form to make it a sweaty workout even if it's a bit easy. There's not much room for that in the + workout IMO. Just not a fan of it I guess.
Wow! Sounds like your project is full boar! Do you get any help with the painting? It's a good thing you like doing it huh?

Wendy - Oh I hope you are not coming down with the yucks.:confused: At least you'll have an extra weekend day to rest up.
I'll be ripping open STS and diving in the minute I get it on my doorstep.:p There's no way I could wait on that. I'll figure it out when I get a chance to process it all. I'm sure I'll get STS first since that was pretty much promised before X-mas and I won't get the KB's before then. It'll certainly change things up....that's for sure.;)

It's gonna take me a while to get used to this time change thing. I'll bet I will be hitting the bed early.

Good Evening Ladies.

By the time I started my work out it was 5pm and we were slated to go visit DH's cousin for a while this evening so in the interest of saving time I did a KPC premix instead of the whole work out. It was the Kicking and Punching premix. I had never done it before. It was a goodie. It was all of the combos plus abs. I worked up quite a sweat and WOW is that ab work tough! I hadn't done it in ages so I had completely forgotten the moves that were in it. It was all on or with the stability ball. The roll ins and pikes at the end almost killed me! :eek: I don't feel guilty in the least for doing a shorter premix (41 mins) since I added in a run y'day when cardio wasn't called for. It all worked out perfectly. :)

Tomorrow is full body work out day. Push Pull total body premix is on the rotation but I am considering taking the Power (weight lifting) class at the gym instead. I have to take 3 classes every month and Power is going to be the easiest class for me to hit because of my schedule so we'll see. It's offer THREE TIMES tmrw. I can surely make one of them if I want to. :)

Ang: Good job with Squeeze. That's a work out that I keep refusing to buy cause I think it's over-priced. :p Sorry you are struggling with the candy. I have dark chocolate in the house so when I find myself eyeing the Halloween crap I eat a piece of that instead and I am fine. One piece a day is all I need to keep my sweet tooth at bay....USUALLY anyway.
