X Factor Sunday

Hey Girls.

My knee is very very sore again. :( It started hurting yesterday at some point. I've taken ibuprofen a couple of times and I am icing it for the 3rd time as I type this. Sitting still is definately making it worse. It stiffens up and hurts worse for a while. Ofcourse our activity of choice last night was to go see a movie so you can imagine how I felt when we went to leave the theater. That being said, I am going to dispense with any cardio except the EXT for this entire week. I was going to do a full body work out today to get in one last lower body hit before the race but I am changing it to upper body only. Hopefully I will be able to race on Sunday. I'm thinking a full week should do the trick. How I feel after the race remains to be seen though....

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

BBIAB!

Wendy, I'm so sorry about your knee. :( Hopefully resting, stretching, icing and elevating it will help. Thant's just a big boo!

I walked the dog and finished up some things I started in the house yesterday instead of doing yoga. I decided to wait until I got home from church and then I'm going to do yoga/pilates and CC#2.

Taking the kiddies and friends to see the Chihuahua movie later this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Sunday!!

wendy- so sorry to hear about the knee giving you so many problems? i like your idea of giving it a break until your race day.

shirl- enjoy your movie!

angie- not sure if i were unclear about metabolic effect. it is not a dvd for sale. it is an actual workout class.

laura- hahaha, not trying to be an enabler, just sharing my love!!

yesterday the owner and creator of metabolic effect taught the class at my gym so i took the class. i am trying to bring the class to my gym so i am debuting so it gets the folks excited about something new.

today i went to the track and did my run/stairs intervals workout for an hour.

ok, off to get ready for church...

ttyl...:)

Good morning ladies !

Yesterday was quite a long one - up and cleaning by 6 AM, got ready for the wedding, outta the house at 10 AM and not home again until 11+ PM. Whew !

But loads of fun ! Saw many people I haven't seen for 10+ years and spent loads of time with my oldest DS, DIL and grandson. Yippee. They live 75 miles away so see them only about once a month. Next door neighbors 50th BDay party had many people we knew also - good times !

No workout yesterday, should have been KenpoX. Think I'll get started on a few remaining chores and do it this afternoon. Had a little rain yesterday (the wedding weather worked fine - only rained during the ceremony but was done when people were leaving!:D). Today is a nice sunny day with 75' so don't want to be inside during the day !

Will BBL to catch up on personals - am off to see if the opening night NHL games will be televised !

Good Afternoon Peeps.

I went out to Target this morning and purchased a foam roller FINALLY! I tested it out and I think it is going to be a God send! The entire leg of the messed up knee is super tight. I am hoping that the roller will help relax the muscles which will in turn help with my knee issues.

Today's work out was BM2 upper body work. Short sweet and to the point. Havin' a snack right now and then I gotta jump in the shower. We are heading out soon to pick up DS from DH's mom's house and bring him with us to MY mom's house for dinner this evening.

DH and I went out last night to see the movie "Righteous Kill". Good flick. I slept until 8am this morning!!!! That almost NEVER happens!

GTG for now but I'll BBL!

Jacque, Sounds like you had a great day! :D Enjoy the weather; it sounds beautiful.

Dee Dee, You are so lucky to have done a class with the owner and creator of metabolic effect. Boy, do I wish I lived closer.

Wendy, I am so happy you bought a foam roller. Mine has done wonders for my tight muscles, etc. I actually have 3 different types of foam rollers. I'm a little addicted to foam rolling.:p Oh, you can come to the movies - it'd be fun!

Well, I did PiYo 7 and am going to do CC#2 after the movies.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

Hi girls

We got home late last night so I never did get KPC in yesterday so I did it today before lunch.:) After that DH and I headed out to clean up the camper for storage.....what a pain in the butt! But, it wasn't raining for a change, so we thought we'd better get it done. The awning is out and drying and we will take it in tomorrow morning for winter storage.

I'm watching the race and sooooooo ready for a CAB! There's been none of it this weekend, but I'm ready!:p I ordered a pizza though and have to go and pick it up in a half hour so I gotta be good until I get back. It's our anniversary today.....12 years of wedded bliss.:p:eek::rolleyes: As I was on the roof scrubbing and he was washing the awning, I said "so, if this is what 12 entails, I can't wait to see what 13 is like.";) LOL!

Laura - Sorry about the hex. I feel your pain! The dog woke me up this morning, but it was at 8:30 so I couldn't complain. Although, I did have to stay up and watch the SNL parity. That was funny!
So what w/o did you finally decide on?
I emailed Di last week and she said she had family issues going on and that she was fine. She said she would be posting pics of the girls when she got back.
You will not believe this.....while we were cleaning the trailer, we had Maggie out on her dog run. The kids went to check on her and she was frothing at the mouth with some difficulty breathing. We have no idea what that was all about. There's absolutely nothing out there for her to get into. There was a toad out there and the boys said it looked like she might have licked it??? There's also a few fall mushrooms out there and thinking she may have tried to eat one??? She's acting OK now and eating and drinking so we are just watching her....but geez....I'm thinking WTH? I feel a bit hexed myself.:(

Wendy - Boo on the knee. IA that you should baby it and take it easy next week too. If you have problems again after the race, you really should go get a doctors opinion.
Hope the foam roller works good on the knee. I need to go get one of those too.
Any other good deals on fitness stuff at target? I found an altus 8# medicine ball on clearance at walmart yesterday for $11. I almost got one, but I don't know what I would use it for. It was originally around $30 I think. Anyone have any thoughts???

Shirl - Cleanmax huh? Sounds like that is the concensus around here this weekend. Boo! I just went thru my basement last week. Although, I still have drawers, files, and closets that I could go if the mood hit me.
Didya have a date with Sean today?

Dee Dee - Oh, I thought there were videos on the metobolic site. But, it looked like you had to be a member to view them.
That would be great to introduce a new exercise routine to the gym. I'm always interested in something new.

Jacque - You started cleaning at 6am??? My hats off to you!!! OMG - I now think you may be crazy. LOL!
What a busy day you had. Glad you were able to finish off with some fun.:)
It's kinda funny how we do the same things as far as workouts go. I missed kenpo yesterday too. KPC got me back into it today though. It was nice to do a Cathe for a change.

Hi Di and Jen.....hope you girls are having a fun weekend. I sure hope I didn't miss anyone.

Gotta go and get that pizza soon so I can have a CAB.:D Have a great afternoon girls

Angie

Hey all!

BF surprised me with a weekend away at Foxwoods Resort (world's largest casino is what they say) [which is in CT, Wendy ;)] and we had a blast. Believe it or not, I actually rested up! Seriously, I got four weeknight's worth of sleep in the two we were down there, sleeping in until quarter past eleven on Saturday and quarter past ten today. It was soooo needed. I feel like a million bucks now! Needless to say, I didn't get any workouts in, even though I brought my laptop and my YogaX thinking I could at least get that in. There were too many other fun things to do! So week 2 of this rotation turned out to be more like week 1.5 . Tomorrow will start official week two.

Jacque, glad to hear you had a great time at the wedding and your neighbor's party! Sounds like you lived it up this weekend, too! Back to work tomorrow to get some rest.

Angie, never got a chance to say congratulations on the good news! What a relief! I've had my own cancer scare a few years ago, and I know exactly what that wait to the test results feels like. Gives you a whole new perspective on life! Enjoy an extra CAB ('cuz resveratrol is very good for you ;))

Shirl, how was the movie? My daughter has been wanting to see that and will likely be on the agenda for next weekend.

Deedee, is RCR still kicking your butt? Or have you switched gears?

Wendy, so sorry to hear that knee is still bothering you! I've heard a lot of good things about the foam rollers, and I hope it does the trick for you. Don't skimp on the rest, either. I'm sure you're ready for that race now, and a week (or more, if possible) of taking it easy will not hurt your performance at all. In fact, if might even make it better!

Hello to anyone I missed. I'm hoping the week at the office allows me a little more PC time than I've had in the past couple weeks, so I'll be catching you all in the a.m., after Core Syn ;)

TTYS~

Jen
