X Factor Saturday Sluggishness

Hey Girls.

I didn't act like a Catheite or a P90X'er last night at all. LOL I had an affair with a martini glass and then managed to shove all kinds of nasty food in my mouth. This morning I feel less then charming. I deserve it but still hope it goes away in time for my Centergy class at 10:30.

Besides Centergy I'd like to get PUB and PLB floor work only done today. We'll see how that works out. It really depends on how I feel later....Right now I'm chuggin' the coffee. ;)

Well let me get this bad boy posted and then I'll see what kind of personals I have to catch up on!

Laura: Sorry your team lost. :( Yuck, I hate damp cold weather. Nothin' worse. So you and DH have any fun plans for the weekend?

Jacque: The website for the car racing gig is www.877stockcar.com . I purchsed DH the 20 mile drive with a ride added on and then my sister bought him the photo plaque pkg. If you are doing FitnessFreak's 08 leg blast rotation then yes, we are doing the same one. Sorry you weren't able to exercise or hit the forums all week. We missed you and hope you are back for good now. :)

Jen: Another will ALL DAY meetings!? YIKES! I must be truly blessed that I've never had to endure that in any of my jobs. :p How's the pup doin'? Someone on the O/D is trying to find a home for a dog right now. I tried to convince DH that we should take him but it didn't work. LOL We have a small house with a large dog and child in it. He said another dog (even though he's only 10#) would be too much. We have to wait until we move. *sigh* So do YOU want another dog??? ;)

Well felt so nice to be on a normal schedule today !:p No more 4:30 wake up calls, outta the house before 6 and not home until after 8. We had a week of our ESOP (Retirement plan) meetings from San Diego to San Jose - 14 one hour meetings at 6 different locations. It was a great meeting and I enjoy travelling with my boss. It is only once per year, thank goodness, but now we have to roll out our new handbook and announce a few other economically determined issues for the company so thinking we have another road trip or two in the next couple of months. I wasn't prepped enough so had loads of OT before and the worked at home in between so that LONG week is over.

Wendy - I should be back "for good" and as I reviewed my rotation, see that I had planned the second week around the meetings but none of it happened so I will be starting week 2 on Monday. Think that may be where you will be also? This weekend I will just do ME today and cardio tomorrow. Not sure, think I may want to do a CC to help ease away the stress from the past few days.

Thanks for the racing info - I really think I may do that for DH. Had told him what you were doing last weekend and he started asking me questions. It would definitely be a hit for a gift.

Well, caught up on personals last night - Sharks lost their game 3 - 4. Hope they can pull it out tonight.

BBL.

Jacque: Glad to have you back. Yes, I will be starting week 2 of the rotation on monday I think.

Well Centergy wasn't happening this morning but I'm still holding out hope for the weight work later on....

BBIAB.

HI,
I'm just stopping by to say hello! I've been doing well with my workouts and drinking water but not so well on the food front...pms - yuck! I;m back on track today and will keep it up. Do we have a new challenge/incentive?

My workout today - teach Turbo - done and showererd
teach Turbo and Boot Camp this afternoon - on my way

Have a great Saturday everyone! :D
I'll catch up with personals tomorrow!

Hey girls

I wasn't able to log on yesterday.....busy day. But, I did get home and do L&B and ARX before we headed out for pizza and drinks. We went with DH's aunt and uncle and then came home and played Wii golf. They have a blast with that.:)

Today will be KenpoX so that it will be a complete X week with NO subs. Next week will start week 3. After I get done with the X, I think I will be working on my 1RM exercises and make a workout out of just doing those for a while. After I get done with all of that, it should be time for STS.:D Since I have a whole lotta nothing planned for today maybe I'll start getting a routine down to work on after the X. It would be wise to get that figured out early.....we'll see.

Laura - Oooooo - extra incentive income eh? Well at least your meeting weren't totally unproductive then. Just in time for the holidays too.:D I'm hoping this year we will be able to find lotsa deals. I hear the retailers are kinda freaking out due to the poor economy. I'm still gonna spend the same amount but hope my dollars will stretch further than before.
Oh pooh on Auburn. Losing builds character though. It'll give em motivation to kick butt next year for sure.

Wendy - I think with your dad as motivation for your next run you just can't go wrong. Sorry to hear about your dad. That must've been very difficult to go through. But, what a great way to honor his memory.
CABs and food last night eh? Ummmm - I can relate. I didn't drink much though since I had to pick up DS at 10 from a party and went to bed a midnight. There's not a whole lot of damage I can do in 2 hours. Well, I guess that's not true, but things were pretty much winding down at 10:30.

Jacque - Glad your busy week is behind you, but it does sound like it was productive and you had some fun anyways.
We missed you too!! Don't leave us for that long again.:p
Ya know, I was just passing along information re: the foam roller. I don't have one....yet! I think I'm going to give that idea to my sis for an X-mas gift. She always has a heck of a time trying to figure out what to get me and that will be a fairly inexpensive gift that I will love.
What is the closest NASCAR track to you? Is it California International Speedway? There are several programs/companies out there that do the stock car drives. You might want to call the racetrack and ask them which ones visit your track and they can point you in the right direction. Your DH will love it!!! It was a great birthday present for my DH.....I would do it again in a heartbeat. I just told him that I had plans and that he had to take the time off of work and we went. When we stayed overnight at the motel by the track, he knew it was something to do with nascar. I finally told him that night so that he could talk to the other people in the hotel about it. It was a really fun little trip.

OK - I'd better get out of my jammies. I have been on Amazon all morning checking out some interesting books. Geez - that site is addictive!!

BBL after Kenpo is done. Have a rockin' Saturday girls.:D

ETA: Hiya Shirl - your post snuck in there on me. ACK! I havne't been doing so well on the water this past week. I need to do something about that starting today!
On Monday Laura should be posting up our new goal. She is evil so I doubt any of us are gonna like it. LOL! Maybe she'll send us her workouts on tape and she'll make us do them. *lol*
WTG on the workouts.....I'd better get off the couch and make it happen.

Thanks for the welcome backs ladies ! :D

I'm back for a few and sooooo enjoyed a workout !:D Felt good to be back in the groove. I can't believe how 5 days off seemed like FOREVER !

ME was a great FB workout and I haven't done it for eons so it was fun.

Wendy - gotta get your PUB & PLB floorwork in today so we can be on the same page on Monday ! ;)

Shirl - good to see you have kept up with workouts and water. Seems like a Turbo day for you, huh? With all the travelling I couldn't eat or drink like I normally do, but we did eat at places that had some yummy salads so that was perfect ! The first day or two I was so hungry since I'm used to eating every few hours. I had to wait for 8 hours between lunch and dinner one night, ACK ! ! !

Guess we will be at Laura's beck and call with the new challenge soon - hmmm . . .

Angie - Sounds like a fun night last night - it was veg for us around here. We both had a tough couple of weeks so just hung and hit the sack early. Great job on keeping with the "X" all week ! I am thinking that STS will be fun since it will be a new DVD every time ! And we can choose our own cardio in between. I am really hoping I can get through it with some good gains.

We are actually only 45 minutes from Laguna Seca and yes CA Speedway is probably about 6 hours away. I am in the mood to travel though and really need to get to the East coast. Neither of us has been very far, Colorado is the farthest East I have been and I am aching to see our country. DH has his BD in May so I will start looking into it the beginning of the year so we can have some good weather and a great trip. In fact, he has relative in Boston and I so want to get back there. We'll see what I can come up with.

And YES, do get a foam roller. It seems so simple, but I was amazed at how well it got so far into the glutes and hips. Even a tennis ball didn't do that well and with the roller it is not so small - you can get some good pressure going at different angles. That would be a great thing to put on your Xmas list.

OK - off to shower and get started on the chores. DD is coming down with a friend who does Financial aid and we are going to explore her options for nursing school ! Woo Hoo ! I just may have her going in the right direction.

And, got word that DS looking to be a CHP did not get it this go round. The officer suggested he stay working full time for a bit longer and try to take on a little more responsibility, such as getting out on his own. He is checking out apts and will be looking for a roommate. Hoping he doesn't go too far.:( But he really needs to get out and see what it is like. He'll be 22 in a couple of months. I am trying to get him to take at least a couple of JC courses and asked him to look into the local Police Academy to see what it would take. Of course that has been discussed a few times, but as most kids go, he needed to hear it from someone else. Whatever it takes to get them on their way to becoming independent adults is fine with me and I'm here for whatever they need.

BBL to see what everyone has done for their Saturdays!

Good Afternoon Peeps.

I recently woke up from a nice hour long nap and am happy to say that I feel MUCH better! I am having coffee to wake up and will be tackling the weights very soon.

BBL! :)

Hey girls

I got done a bit ago with CCPP. I had intended on doing KenpoX, but I went to the OF and noticed that CCPP was today. Holy crap.....that workout just slays me! It was a 700 calorie burn, which is much more than kenpo would have been. So, now I'm sittin here watchin' the Nationwide race and drinkin' a CAB.....guilt free.:D I gotta get up in a few and make salmon with steamed broccoli and potato wedges. Mmmmmmm - good and healthy....can't beat that!

We just got done playing Clue with the boys. It was Prof. Green with the rope in the Study. LOL! OK - the CABs are already kickin' in......gettin' a bit silly here.:p I'm just lovin' the lazy weekend.

Wendy and Shirl - So I see you are both in for some Sean torture tomorrow. Best of luck with that. Are either of you adding on the optional challenge. Kudos to you if you are..... I opted out of that.

Jacque - I'm thinking the same thing with STS. I am so very stoked about it! Didya see the new blog update with the new clip on youtube???
Did your foam roller come with instructions? Ah yes, DSis has a Target near her and I don't so that will make a perfect X-mas gift.
So DS has decided on nursing school. Good for her! I think she'll be happy about that decision. I was fortunate enough to have the GI bill pay for nursing school. It was nice to just have to concentrate on school and not on the financing of it all.
Sorry about DS not getting that position.:( But, everything happens for a reason. I'm sure he'll look at this as a good thing a few years down the road. Perhaps he's just not ready and when he is something better will crop up. Who knows? IA that hearing good advice from someone else sinks in more. I've noticed that with my boys already.

Good Evening Girls.

Dinner is done. YAY. It was nice n easy tonight. Sandwiches and salads. :)

I got my work out done-PUB w/o the abs and PLB floor work. It was tough to get started but by the time the warm up was over I was into it. I thought Cathe was going to KILL me though. This is the first time I made a concerted effort to match Cathe's weight for every exercise. I've done it for other work outs but never for PUB before. I made it through everything with except for biceps. The woman is a freak of nature when it comes to biceps-I mean that in a GOOD way ofcourse. :) I knew I couldn't match her so I just did what I could handle and it was MUCH MUCH lighter!:p

As for tmrw's attempt at CCPP, I will NOT be adding any additional ANYTHING to that work out. I am doubting the ability to make it through the darn thing to begin with. I am considering splitting it up between the TM and the EXT. I think that might make it a bit more doable. We'll see what happens....;)

Aaaah well...now it's time for the little guy to get a bath. Not sure if I'll be back here tonight but you'll certainly see me tmrw morning!

Toodles!:)

Hi Ladies,

We've had a busy thread today! I did cardio fusion mix&max 80 min cardio this morning. It was a great calorie burner as always. I've been doin' laundry and normal weekend household chores.

Jerods football team was badly beaten in the semi final game, 49-0. It was painful to watch. The opposing team has been together for approx 5 yrs and are simply better than us. We played them one other time and the beat us pretty good. Jerod has one more week of football as they play in the consolation game next weekend. We are struggling to get him from wrestling to football, glad we only have one more week of this. He's opted not to play in the tournament at the end of the season.

Wendy-I'm thing CCPP is sounding like a good w/o for me tomorrow. I was thinking about doing SS lower body blast but who knows.

Jen-I hate all day meetings to. Fortunately I haven't had many of those lately. How is the new dog doing with your family? I'm sure you and the kids are providing tons of attention.

Shirl-thanks for stopping by!! As an instructor it's probably hard for you to take a break. How do you fit in rest days?

Jacque-I bet your glad to get back to a normal routine. As much as I love traveling, it wreaks havoc with any workout regime. Okay, I'll say it, but only this once-Go Sharks!!! The avs didn't start out looking very good but seem to have turned things around:p I'm happy my kids are at home but I'm sure it won't be long before my 20 yr old starts looking for an apt. He does send money to his daughters mother which takes a lot of his income. But he is working full time and I'm sure he will be fine when he decides to move out. My 18 yr also wants to move out but he is not working, just going to college. I expect he will be here for a bit longer. Was it hard when your daughter moved out?

Dee Dee-hope you are feeling much better today.!

Laura-what do have planned for the weekend?

See ya
