Good Morning.

Yup, you said it Jen. I'm sadistic!;) Hey, I may get through one week of said rotation and call it quits. I HATE working lower body. It hurts too much. That's probably why my lower half is what needs the most work! :p LOL

Hope everyone is doing well this morning. I'm off to get more coffee and soon it will be time to get the little guy up!

Morning peeps

I am SO sore this morning.:eek: My hips, my thighs, and even the tips of my toes are all screaming at me. Yikes! Why do I always overdo on runs??

I'd better get the water flowing early today. I'm debating whether or not to do my workout and then go to work or vice versa. I'm starting phase 2 today and switched out that run for plyo so today is the arm workout with ARX. I may just get it outta the way this am. I gotta wait for the mail anyways.

I'm with you girls on the "rein in the diet" sentiment.:( I'm gonna miss the doritoes, but I will never part with my chocolate! Unless some sadistic Xer puts that down as a goal.:p ACK!:eek: Actually I think I need to get back on sparkpeople and start logging my food again. I really need to get my macros back where they need to be.

DeeDee - How long will you and DH do this rotation together?

Wendy - Cramps eh - ouch! I'm sure you had your fair share of cramps everywhere to deal with.:mad: What a bummer.
My toes hurt today too along with the hip flexors. I think I will be splurging on a TM this holiday season. I really need to build up some running endurance.
It's too funny how you and Cathy are already planning your next event.:D

Jacque - Actually I'm pretty lucky in the allergy department. The only time it seems to bother me at all is in the spring when there is pollen everywhere and looks like snow. Other than that, I don't suffer much from it.
Oh the CC downloads.:D I don't have my ipod yet, so I get the CD's. After Cathe announces how the w/o blender will work, I will buy the ipod. Just not sure which one to get at this point.

Jen - I live in northern Michigan. It's near peak here so we must live close to each other. It was windy and rainy last night so we probably lost a lot of color.:(
I'm with you on the water. I tend to do better at work than at home, but I lug my water jug with me where ever I go....even at home.

Hi to the rest of you gals....I'll BBL to see what ya'l are up to. I have parent teacher conferences tonight so I don't even have to cook dinner.:) We generally go out afterwards b/c it gets just too late to fix anything. Uhum....that's what I'm sticking to.;)

Wendy, Congratulations! You did fantastic despite the br breaks! You ROCK!!! I may join you for the leg blast rotation but will have to tweak it a little to fit my teaching schedule. I'll also be adding bells to it. Can't live with out my bells. lol

Laura, Glad you had such a nice time. Did you give them a killer class?

Angie, It's dark early here too. I do love the fall colors though.

Jen, Great workout! Days off aren't really days off are they? I have Bryan Kest's series on VHS, so I haven't done it in forever. I liked it though.

Jacque, It's nice to come back to Cathe for a change and get out booties whipped. ;)

My water intake was good; I usually am very good about that. Portion control, now that's another story. ;)

I am working for someone this week and taught 4 classes yesterday. My bootay is so sore today! I only have to teach 2 classes today. My personal rotation is on hold this week. I slept fantastic last night!

Hi ladies,

Just a quick post before my w/o which will be drill max. I didn't do a morning w/o yesterday, but did heavy leg training at lunch. My leg are sore this morning. I need to keep at least one heavy leg day per week but the rest will be endurance/circuit type work for while.

Wendy-Mornin' Miss. Great job on your run!!! Have you chosen your next long race? I was following Cathy's progress on line before heading out to Jerod's football game.

Angie-you need to work up to running. Maybe just do 20 to 30 minutes of running at a time and go from there. I actually ran on a treadmill at the hotel when I was visiting my gd's. I actually felt pretty comfortable on it which is not normal for me. I'm an outdoor runner. I definitely need to get the diet back in check too. I'm going to WW but haven't been following the plan very well:(

Shirl-wow, 4 classes yesterday, that's awesome...No wonder you are sore. I need help with portion control too.

Laura-So you had a great time gambling and you came home a winner!!!! I'm sure your class paid the price of your not so clean eating and cabbing over the long weekend. ;)

Not a short post afterall. Time to get my workout started.

wendy- no worries i know how you are so i won't hold you up;) i hope you enjoy it! i am sure some of your tweaks involve running, lol.

shirl- 4 classes, whoa you are my hero:D what is your favorite class to teach? working out with dh is going great!!

angie- we are doing a 4 week rotation. YAY, on not having to cook tonight:p cooking is one of those necessary evils for me. hopefully the soreness with go away soon.

diana- i love dm but for some reason do not do it often. we are doing the same type of workout at lunch time!


today i did bodycombat (les mills kickboxing) and this afternoon me and dh have heavy duty legs!! can't wait....NOT

Good morning, all! It was a very frustrating morning for me, and I'll spare you the details, but in short, due to some technical difficulties with my laptop this morning, I had no means to pop in the dvd I wanted to do, which was Imax 3. I played around with it for too long and cut my time short, so I ended up with a 20 minute HIIT session on the treadmill. I'm going to brush it off, though, and take my 2.5 mile walk at lunch, then plan on a steady state run after work tonight. When all is said and done, it will be a successful cardio day for me!

Shirl, holy cow! That's a lot of classes to teach in one day! I hear you on the portion control. And just like my water intake, my diet is stellar until I get home form work. Then it's like there are NO rules and all bets are off! WTH?

Angie, I'm in New England so we probably have similar weather. Your winters are probably a tad nastier, though!

Off to work for a bit, but hope to BBS~

Back and very happy to report that CST & ARX are in the bag!:D I was a gruntin' and grittin' my teeth! Now I'm sore all over and not just lower body. *lol* I feel whole....:rolleyes:

I even tried the milled flaxseed in my protein drink. I didn't notice any difference in the taste but the grit is noticable, but doable. I already have 1.5 liters in for the day so it shouldn't be too difficult to finish it off.

The radio station here just called DH's name while I was posting.....he's gonna win $50....maybe more depending on if someone calls in next hour.:D Free money - gotta love it!!

Shirl - Ya on the great sleep! Life is so much better when you are well rested.
What 2 classes are you teaching today? 4 yesterday???:eek: I'm in awe...

Di - I'm too stubborn to work up to it. *lol* I refuse to accept my age I guess. When I had my TM I was not nearly as sore on it. It might have been the cushioned deck. I'm sore today mostly in the hips, but it is a good sore so it's all good.:)

Dee Dee - Cooking is generally a necessary evil for me too. I tend to d a lot of grilling.....or make DH do it.:p I will start baking too now that the weather is cooler. Fall also means more crock pot dishes. mmmmmmm

Jen - Oh I hate tech problems! Hope you got it figured out though. But I'm sure HIIT will fit the bill as well.
New England eh? I think you all got more ice last year than we did. We had lots of snow last year. I hope we get lots this year too!
Is the food there as good as I hear it is? I love shell fish and chowder! Dang it! Now I'm hungry..... which reminds me, I have left over crab legs in the frig.....can you say lunch??:cool:

Angie-It's not so gritty if you use a blender. Of course I mix frozen fruit and cereal with mine, maybe you can give that a try. Congrats on DH winning $50!!

Sunny-I love kickboxing. I prefer to do kickboxing after heavy leg training. I think it works out the soreness. I have a kimberly spreen kb that has combat drills with the bodybar.

Jen-sorry about the technical difficulties. Imax 3 is one of mine and Angies favorites. HIIT is always hard no matter what-good job.

I may try the above bootcamp w/o at lunch.

Afternoon .. it REALLY is a sadistic Tuesday

Add a full moon in there and you have my day!!:mad: ..OMG ... I have had some DOOZIE's today .. people have lost their minds and no one has any money .. GEESH .. now I know why I drink .. LOL!!!

Anywho .. I did manage a nice 2 mile walk outside today at lunch .. it was hotter than I expected .. worked up too much sweat .. but it is all good!! SIL has an injury to her neck/shoulder so our X is on hold for now .. I think I am going to do my own thing until she is back in the swing of things!! So we are going to say that my X-hold is assissted exercise ADD!!!;)

Wendy .. oh lower body workouts are my favorite .. I love all workouts except PUSHUPS .. but know I have to do them!!

DeeDee - kickboxing AND heavy weight legs .. YOWZA .. you girls are stepping it up this week!! :)

Di - how was Drill Max??? I have only done that workout 1 time .. it tweaked my knee so I have been skeeered of it!!:eek: It was fun though!!

Shirl... I am with you putting rotation on hold .. but heck girl with 4 classes yesterday .. and 2 today .. GEESH ... one thing for sure is you wont have to count your calories this week .. lol!!! :)

Ang ... LOL about the sadistic Xer putting chocolate on the list .. my downfall will be the CABS :eek: ... OH MY I would not make it .. LOL!!!! Especially on days like today .. I think after I teach my workout from H### class tonight I am due a CAB while I am watching my dancing show .. lol!!!!

I did teach one heck of a class last night ... had a new student and bless her heart .. her little face was blood red and said she would not be able to move today!! she was a newlywed and just moved to town and was so happy to find a fitness class she liked!!:) She looked just like a slim beautiful Jessica Simpson .. we will see if she comes back tonight .. ;)

so DOMS report: chest - shoulders - a bit into the buttocks and abs!! :) Tonight is the "class from H###" ... LOL .... 4 step - plyo work - heavy weights - planks and core torture!! {insert evil grin}

Well, now that my workout got done early, I have more puter time.:D I was at work and totally crashed at 2:20-3:30.:( I swear I coulda sprawled out on the floor and took a nap. DH called with a question about something and I almost took his head off.:mad: It doesn't help that I now have Wendy's problem. *lol* I'm not sure if it's b/c my schedule is so different today with my w/o or if it was the 3 carmels I had a half hour before my crash.:confused: Gotta get those suckers out of my office!

So, now I'm sippin coffee and doing laundry to stay awake. Maybe I should just give in and get a nap before PT conferences tonight. Unfortunately 15 minute naps do not refress me....I need a 2-3 hour nap.

Oh, I also ordered my GymBoss.....finally! I thought it would sure come in handy if I start making up my own exercise routines. Does anyone here use one?

Diana - I do use a hand blender with my protein drinks, but with just water and powder it will probably taste gritty anyways. The next time I make crockpot oatmeal, maybe I'll add it to that. Or are you not supposed to heat it?
BC class looks like it could inflict some pain for sure.

Laura - Sorry about SIL. Can she still do your classes?
Crackin up at the full moon and people with no money comment. I hate chasing down money!! It is the worst part of my job. I told DH we should go to a cash only business and if the people don't have $$$ when we deliver the wood, then we don't deliver the wood. The bounced checks lately have gotten my dander up.:mad:
I'm curious whether or not the new girl will show.;)
So, I'm quite certain you would not put a "no CAB" goal up? LOL! Especially with a full moon eh??:eek:

Hi ladies,

Back from my lunch workout. I did cardio today. I ran on the indoor track and did intervals. I also used the bosu and and a medicine ball and did jump squats side to side, more running... more jump squats, shuffles etc. It was nice change of pace and definitely left me a sweaty mess.

Laura-this was the first time in a very long time I did drill max in its entirety (as made). I liked it, but it's a little long for my morning workouts. Of course it would be fine if I got up a tad earlier and stayed of the computer until after my workout. I've twisted my ankle on the football runs before:mad:

Angie-is your flaxseed already ground? If not, you need to grind it before using it. If not, your not getting the good stuff from inside the shell/seed. If it's ground you can add it to your oatmeal right before you eat it. I'm not sure about heating it-I'll look into though and let you know. I use a blender.

Did Drill Max this AM - Ultra Cardio Blast - Whew ! Feeling all the MM DOMS from yesterday !

Wendy - I have to say I'm more the opposite of you and love LB workouts. Guess that's why P90X doesn't enthrall me? But I do believe that lower body and cardio is what keeps me in my best shape and that is what we are all looking for - in addition to some fun, eh?

Angie - Hope you got your workout done without too much leftover pain from yesterday's "over the top run" :eek:. And I'm sooo with ya on the eating habits. My problem is the couple hours after work before dinner. That being said - enjoy your night of "no cooking" ! (We have a hockey game so no cooking for me either. The question is: How good can I be when I don't have to cook? Hmmmmm . . .

So you did get your workout done - LOL about feeling whole, but, ya know it is true ! At least I feel so much better after working out vs. taking a day off. Hope you enjoyed your 'crabby lunch' ! I love winter 'cuz one of my favs is New England clam chowder, with Garlic of course !:p So how ya planning on spending the $50?;)

Shirl - Yes please join the Leg Blast Rotation, even if it is modified. In looking ahead it looks like it will be fun AND hard work. Debbie creates some real doozies !:p And yes, the DM Ultra Cardio whipped me this AM ! I do enjoy it though ! Way to go with all the classes - surprised you woke up !

Diana - Well we happened to be doing the same workout today in some way or another. Are you following a rotation, set up your own, or just wing it based upon a generic breakdown?

Dee Dee - Oh my, heavy legs after a kickbox workout? Wendy - think you just may have a "sadistic" partner? :eek:

Jen - Bummer about the 'puter messing with ya during your workout time !:mad: Not a very smart piece of technology, huh? Hope you get it worked out soon. At least you have some good plans for a great cardio day anywhooooo.

Laura - Sorry you had a bad day, but think I know almost how you feel. I am missing my lunch times lately and what really bugs me is that I am not even hungry after a bit? That is how I sabotaged my metabolism a few years ago and DO NOT want to go back there. Hope SIL gets better soon - LOL about your "excuse" for exercise ADD. Hope your class went well and the CAB tastes wonderful !

Well with all the talk about our eating habits . . .
