Good morning ladies,

so today i did my first RCR workout and let me just say it's one of those workouts that look easy on paper. very deceptive. it kicked my booty just like alwyn does. i'ts the type of workout that while you are doing it you know you are working hard. however i don't think there will be any DOMS tommorow. which is good so i can do my HIT workouts. i may just use a CC in leiu of her prescribed cardio HIT workouts. also i burned almost as many calories as when i run!!

so that's the good.

the bad is the workout took me a little over an hr. i haven't done weights for the long in looooong time:D i had to check the descriptions again to that took a few more minutes. next week i am sure i will be able to do it in 60 mins or less. i also went a teensy-weensy bit higher in weights then she said to do because i was afraid i wouldn't feel any resistance do shoulder presses with 5lbs.

she does these planks using the valslides that are just killer. the toughest ab exercises i have ever done. i am thinking this program will be a good change for me. of course by next week i will miss going heavy....:rolleyes:

i may add in a cycle class this evening. we'll see how the day progresses.

Morning ladies!

Well my team won!! :D .. but it was not a "pretty win" .. it was hard fought for .. 14 - 12 .. I really thought we would do better than that!! We have quarterback issues .. he is inconsistant due to an injury that he says is well .. but when he throws it is like it is in slow motion .. NOT GOOD! I watched our rival team play .. OMG .. it was supposed to be THEIR loss .. and they went in and POUNDED the #3 undefeated team ... :confused::( .. OH I WAS NOT HAPPY!! ... and today .. OMG they are so freaking obnoxious it is not even funny!! they have lost to us 7 years in a row .. and this year ... ummmmmmmm I am skeeeered!!! :confused:

I outdrank my fellow posters this weekend! :eek: TWO ballgames back to back will tend to do that .. but I had a great time until our rivals won!! So yesterday was spent doing cleanmax and lounging around .. :eek:

DeeDee .. RCR sounds fun .. sometimes when something looks easy on paper and then you do it and it is amazingly difficult .. gotta love it!! Sounds like it will be different from what you have been doing .. so you should see some results from that for sure!!

Jacque - my big dogs are Dogue de Bordeaux ... French Mastiffs .. like the Turner and Hooch dog!! and yes their personality is just like the movie .. very expressive .. VERY smart .. very human like!! Oh and I am usually always a no sho on weekends on posting . . I am usually in the road .. fishing .. or getting together w/friends ..

Ang .. I knew you would "faint" w/a Sat. check in from me!! ;) I should have checked in yesterday .. but instead vegged out!! LOL

Wendy .. sounds like your weekend w/DH was fun!! I am sure you danced of the alcohol effects ... I should have YELLED and JUMPED mine off .. but didn't!! LOL

Di . . how was the last bootcamp class?? Are you gonna do the Holiday Meltdown class this year??

Hello to Shirl and Jen .. what w/o do you two have planned??

I am meeting SIL at the gym at lunch .. gonna work heavy legs today due to timeframe issue .. then tonight will be circuit class w/concentration on upper body on the shaping! Tommorrow will be back to shoulders and arms!! :D

Dee Dee, I have RCR and a few other free downloads. Did you join her makeover contest? I didn't but I did join for the 2 free weeks. I loved watching the interviews. Did you get a chance to watch them?

Poochy, Your enthusiasm is contagious! You sound like so much FUN! Enjoy your workouts. Oh,my DH loves French Mastiffs.

Jen, What's on tap for today?

I have to come up with a formal rotation. My plan is to do 3 total body workouts a week for a few weeks along with 2 HIIT and 1 SS and yoga. I may change it to a 2 day split, we'll see. Today I did the balance warm-up from Fitness Fix Sports Conditioning, Circuit Zone upper body premix, lower body premix followed by the upper body premix and circuit 6 (legs & back)again. I went as heavy as possible for that type of workout and am feeling nicely worked. Does anyone else have Circuit Zone or Fitness Fix?
 
Hi Girls. :)

I wanted to run today after work but the knee is being quirky so I opted for DM Total Body Premix instead. Great work out. Hadn't done that one in ages. I added on 150 bicycle crunches as well. Hello abs! LOL

Hi girls!

Just comin' up for some air quickly from under all this year end stuff today :eek: I'll be glad when this week is over! Actually, it'll be better when tomorrow is over. Wanted to report that Core Syn was done this morning, and I got my lunchtime walk in as well. Saturday I did a short treadmill run, because believe it or not, my legs we like lead on Saturday from the first week of X! KenpoX was on tap, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Tomorrow is Shoulders and Arms, and I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully it'll be after a nice long night's sleep, 'cuz I'm draggin' my butt today after a busy weekend.

Gotta get back to work, but will try to check in later this evening.

shirl- yes you had better stay, lol. why don't you do RCR with me? since it sounds like what you are thinking of anyway? on my off day i am planning on doing yoga. i did not watch the interviews, should have though.

Sunny: So RCR is another "by the book" work out? Is it just one work out or several different set up in a rotation like After Burn? I still have NROL4W waiting for me but that ain't gonna happen til after my full mary. So many work outs, so little time!:D

Laura: Glad your team won! So how much did you drink? I had 3 on friday night and 5 on saturday night! :eek:

Shirl: Ofcourse you are welcome to stay! We just wish you had more time to chat with us on a daily basis. :) Nope, I don't have circuit zone or fitness fix, sorry. Coming up with a formal rotation that you are happy with and will stick with can be a bear, huh? Congrats on the 1000 posts!:D

Jen: Good job with Core Syn. That work out is killer! Enjoy S&A tmrw and I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight! I was exhausted last night and slept from 8pm to 6 this morning!!!:eek:

Little late here today - but hey there X chickies !

Got up and started my 2nd week of the 90X - C & B went OK, upped a few things but one side of my abs was killin' me? ? ? WTHeck? Made it hard to do a couple of the pushup exercises by the end.

Since then I've had a achy stomach so came home early to use my heating pad. Hope it helps a bit.

wendy- rcr is a by the book program. however it is only 6 weeks as opposed to 16 weeks like AB. it's 3 weeks of workouts and then you switched it up for the last 3 weeks. pretty doable IMO!!
 
Heya girlies

I got home and did x C&B and ARX....that'll be the last one for C&B for a few weeks.:) I'm again dreading ARX, but it seems nothing tightens and tones my abs like good ole' ARX. I keep thinking at the end of the workout which Ab w/o I will sub, but then just give up and do it.:confused:
I called the Dr. office and still no results yet....they expect them by tomorrow morning. So, I guess I'll hold my breath until then.:confused::(

Jacque - Thanks so much for the info. on Fat Flush.....very interesting. I may have to go to amazon and check that one out.
So did you pull a muslce or something? Boo on that!:( Hope it's nothing serious and heals quickly for you.

Dee Dee - RCR does sound interesting. I can't wait to see what kind of results you get. I would be apt to go heavy on the weights too. Was it a downloadable program or do you have it in a hardcover?

Laura - Cracking up about your team. Humility's a beeiotch ain't it??:eek: Been there for sure.
I veged yesterday too. DH and I sat here and had a couple of CABs and watched the nascar race. It was an awesome ending.
No X workout today?
