Good morning ladies,
so today i did my first RCR workout and let me just say it's one of those workouts that look easy on paper. very deceptive. it kicked my booty just like alwyn does. i'ts the type of workout that while you are doing it you know you are working hard. however i don't think there will be any DOMS tommorow. which is good so i can do my HIT workouts. i may just use a CC in leiu of her prescribed cardio HIT workouts. also i burned almost as many calories as when i run!!
so that's the good.
the bad is the workout took me a little over an hr. i haven't done weights for the long in looooong time i had to check the descriptions again to that took a few more minutes. next week i am sure i will be able to do it in 60 mins or less. i also went a teensy-weensy bit higher in weights then she said to do because i was afraid i wouldn't feel any resistance do shoulder presses with 5lbs.
she does these planks using the valslides that are just killer. the toughest ab exercises i have ever done. i am thinking this program will be a good change for me. of course by next week i will miss going heavy....
i may add in a cycle class this evening. we'll see how the day progresses.
